Updating review because management called me immediately and listened to me with genuine concern. That makes a huge difference for me. Although I am still highly disappointed with my experience at this location, the fact that management took the situation serious is a good thing. I am not changing the rating at this time because that is representative of my experience. The food was awful. I assume since it was a to go order they figured we wouldn't notice until we got home. The order was wrong and what we got had to had been cooked hours ago. On top of that, the service was horrible. When I first moved to Indian Land in 2016 this location was great! We often ate there, the food was great and the service was excellent. But since Covid everything has gone downhill. The service has been subpar and the food even worse. Plus, the inside of the store is never clean and inviting. Had to drive around twice on order for them to acknowledge, 10/02/2025 in pm. When we drove to order kiosk the 2nd time and we said "hello!" their response was "just a minute" with an attitude! We had not been to the Zaxbys by us for a while but we finally went yesterday evening to get 2 salads and when we got there the drive thru line had about 10 cars in it so I decided to go in an order and get the salads. What a mistake that was. I got my order taken quickly but it took over 40 minutes to get my 2 salads that I ordered. There was another lady in there that did the same thing as me and left the drive-thru and went inside to order. Both agreed that was the incorrect thing to do. As both of us were standing and waiting for our order we noticed that one of the kitchen staff was on the phone and not assisting the other 2 that were working. There were customers waiting. When the lady got her food one it was not correct so that had to take time to correct it. After seeing that hers was not correct I made sure to make sure that I received what I ordered. Definitely took the meaning out of fast food. If I could have cancelled my order I would have done so and went somewhere else to get my food. read more

This has to be the worst Zaxby's of the Carolina's. Because of this store I refuse to eat at any other ones because of how bad the service is. I can't tell if it's laziness, degenerative behavior or overall incompetence that this store struggles with. They always close early weekly, are out of basics like bread or sauces (and basic courtesy in the service industry), they ask you to pull up to the window rather than use the speaker, etc. I think all of what I said is a ploy to slow down work or deter customers so the employees don't work as hard as their counterpart/ at Chick-fil-A. I've been here a couple of times without any issues. I usually come for an early lunch to beat the crowd. I've never had to wait long to order my food and I've never had to wait long receiving my food. I always get the kickin chicken sandwich and fries and a sweet tea. If I could give 0 I would. Incompetence at its worst. Workers are consistently on their phones. They act like they are being bothered by doing their jobs. I once waited 30 minutes for a kids meal. I vowed never to come back but I came this time was because Wendy's next door was only taking cash and I needed something quick. I get to the drive thru and was not greeted. I said hello a few times after waiting... nothing. So I was confused whether they were open, drove ip to the window to see 3 people hanging around. Very slow and unprofessional to say the least, this location had a great staff not to long ago and only after being open for a short while the staff has completely changed and the service has as well. The person taking orders usually is more focused on chatting with their friends than providing good customer service. The ordering process comes off as being an extreme task as oppose to a wonderful blessing = a job. I don't want to even bother with the drive thru experiences. Why go back you ask with all the bad customer service? I'll tell you, my teenage daughter LOVES this place and she even has my son liking the tenders and she doesn't care about service much (YET, as she is my child and will one day as she has experienced the best of the best and worst of the worst). Literally the worst zaxbys I've ever been to. Came to the drive through (there were only 2 people ahead of us in line) and the drive through worker told us to hold on a second. The mic was going in and out. So we weren't sure if something happened. So we said "hello" at least twice after sitting there for about 10 minutes. She didn't answer. We decided to pull forward and try to talk to her at the window. Maybe something happened to the intercom? As soon as we pulled away, she answered the next car!! Amazing! Because she ignored us when we were asking to see if she was still there. Amazing and lots of food choices to pick from; sandwiches, wings, tenders, etc. The boneless wings were simply delicious, the sweet and spicy sauce was the absolute cherry on top of my meal. Sorry for the two stars as you are a brand new location, but you really have to address the noise level in your cavernous building. Don't know what, but this location is noticeably louder than other locations, so please check with the franchise to see what can be done. The food and service are certainly a solid three star so the atmosphere drags it down to two. Wife and I came for lunch. I earlier told her that Zaxby's is just chicken, but she insisted that others had told her that she could order other things. What she missed was the dangling participle, ",,,so long as it is chicken." Their chicken tenders and boneless wings (otherwise known as nuggets) are good. Cooked perfectly and not greasy they are as they should be. There is quite a variety of sauces for dipping and even more for their wings. If you are looking for a tough-person contest, take on some of their hottest wing sauces. Prepare to die! Crispy French fries, salads are nice sized portions and iced tea is authentic and good. BUT...the building is all hard surfaces. Floor, walls, ceiling create nearly an echo chamber effect. You can hear everything. When ordering you are facing a nice cashier that you cannot hear and she cannot hear you. Lots of repeating back and forth because you are competing with the noise of the kitchen, the conversations behind you and the train depot loudspeaker bellowing out order numbers that are ready. It is amazing and you have to feel sorry for the people who work there, but in reality, they get used to the near constant level of sound. So, if you like chicken...this is a good choice. You can have chicken tenders on a bun, cut into smaller hunks (boneless wings), on top of salad greens or by themselves. read more

We love Zaxby's! They have oh so yummy salads to choose from! My favorite is the Blackened Salad. You have that bite of blackened chicken with feta cheese. The combination is so yummy! The salads are rather large so you will definitely be able to take some home to enjoy later. Just hide from your kids who will eat it if you don't! My boys love their kids meal. They get chicken fingers and of course fries. They eat all of their meal and won't even share the fries with me! Bummer! The staff is super friendly and always there to help. We forgot to order a drink and they gave us a cup....no charge! Why can't more restaurants be like this? Good food and friendly staff.. win win! read more

This the 4th time I have ever had Zaxby's and it was a positive experience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food arrived quickly and was great quality as well as hot and fresh. Loved the Coke Freestyle machine too. Also appreciated the taller handicapped accessible table fre my son's power wheelchair....very rare but awesome. read more
