Given the current COVID situation, Martha's salon enforces mask wearing and social distancing between clients. I definitely felt more reassured that safety measures were in place. Apparently San Mateo county has permitted hair salons to open for the past month, but I think most folks aren't aware of this... I felt like I stumbled upon a secret. My haircut was $75, but so worth it. Martha's professionalism and attention to detail is impeccable. Though my hair was so overgrown I couldn't recall the last time I cut it (maybe... a full calendar year ago... it's a mystery), she hacked through the mess and pared it down to the most silky, feathery layers within the hour.
