I scheduled an appointment for two services well in advance -- only for the team at LaserAway to reschedule me THREE times, the last one being on the day of the appointment. Despite the constant back-and-forth, I still showed up expecting professional service. What I got was anything but. Upon arrival, I was told -- with no prior notice -- that they didn't have time to complete both services. That's right: after moving my schedule around multiple times for their changes, they then told me in person that they wouldn't actually be able to fulfill the appointment I booked. I was understandably frustrated and left without receiving any services. But it gets worse -- I later found out that I was charged anyway for services I never received. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a blatant disregard for customers' time, money, and trust. I've reached out to customer support for a full refund, but the fact that I even have to go through this step is frustrating enough. LaserAway: Your Reston location needs serious attention. This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is not what people pay premium prices for.

Fast forward to recent visit, my opinion of them has changed. Due to their lack of professionalism and hostility, I have to give them one star. I wish they had canceled my appointment if they were in that bad of a mood, or at least reschedule me. This was NOT how I wanted to start the new year. So, I did my research online and found Skin Deep as a result. I'm glad I came here for a tattoo removal consult. Christina is credible, honest and thorough. I opted to have my first session with Skin Deep after the consult. I was in and out in less than one hour. Pros: They encourage you (but do not pressure you) to purchase a package of sessions. Why is this a pro? Because they don't just take a wild guess; they use a research model that recommends a certain number of sessions based on your tattoo (e.g., size, color, etc.), skin color, etc. Do not hesitate to spend the $$ up front and commit. Christine will explain all of this in full detail when you arrive for your consult. Their prices are reasonable. But if you're concerned about what you get quoted, remember that nothing worthwhile comes cheap. The facility is clean and the staff are friendly and professional. Parking is no issue and it's free. The removal process is relatively fast (your time will depend on the size of your tattoo but for reference mine is on the small side). I don't have any cons about my initial experience here. The process in general is not fun. It hurts but it's typical and to be expected. Good news is that in my opinion it's not worse then getting a tattoo, body piercing, etc. Christine will take breaks if you need it (I opted for that), she gives you a stress ball to squeeze and you have to just breathe. The end result is all worth it. In closing, tattoo removal is not a fast process. It requires commitment, willingness to follow the after-care instructions and a healthy lifestyle so you can heal faster (that will help - hydrate, eat well, rest, etc.). I am really happy I found this place and I did purchase a package and will continue all of my treatment sessions here. Of course I will update my review once I have completed by treatment.

I planned the first as a "let's see what happens " experience. I had five together on a space on my abdomen and had those removed. So they looked worse before they healed and then were just gone. The second treatment I had done on about 15 others on my torso. They mostly look like red freckles but still significant to me. They've mostly healed now and I'm so happy with the results. The time is minimal-15 took 30 minutes or less. I feel more confident in my own skin than I have for the past year . $20/angioma was reasonable IMO. I will definitely return if I need more services in the future.

I had not received the treatment yet, and my reason for cancelling was medical. Before signing, I asked the representative whether I could get a refund, and she told me yes. I have the text messages documenting that conversation. After I contacted her to cancel the following day, however, she explained that when she said "yes," she meant that I could receive a refund only if I completed the treatment and did not see results. That was not clear from her original response, and I feel this should have been explained clearly before I signed a contract. When I explained that my reason for cancelling was medical, I was also told that I needed to provide documentation proving my medical issue. I understand that a business may have policies regarding cancellations and refunds, but I believe those policies should be clearly explained BEFORE someone signs and pays for a treatment package. I also have concerns about the equipment information I was given. I was told that the Elite machine would be used for my treatment, but I later learned that the equipment being used was not the Elite machine I was told about. The equipment was an important factor in my decision to purchase the treatment, so this was extremely concerning to me. The entire experience left me feeling that I was not given clear information before making a significant purchase. I contacted them almost immediately after signing, before receiving any treatment, and still could not cancel the package. I trusted the representative when I made the purchase, but after how this situation was handled, I no longer feel comfortable trusting this location.
