It has gotten so bad. Leaving dog poop is illegal in Westminster and people should be fined but there's no one enforcing it and parks crews don't clean it up either.

This park had both a roundabout and a teeter totter, something we've been looking for. It also had very nice rock formations, one elephant, one lion, for kids to climb on. Wood chip base, which was a little annoying. Also, no restrooms as per the norm for Arvada parks. None close by either. Not a lot of shade, except for the picnic structure. The picnic structure can be reserved for $60 plus a refundable $25 deposit, according to the sign. Definitely one of the better parks in Arvada.

This park has a great view of some mountains in the distant background and multiple physical activity opportunities for people of abilities the path is wheelchair accessible bicycle welcome and dog friendly. The path is mostly Gravel with no major impossible rats and looks very well maintained there are benches throughout. Just not the initial part where my mom needed one so she turned around and went back. A time was had by all.

Meant to show what life was back in the agriculture era here, it's a great place to see some well preserved machinery like this Tresher. Lots of money went into these for the farmers and it's interesting to see them in a unique setting. It's also the end of the Coal Creek Trail so a great place for a bike picnic. The buildings themselves usually aren't open but look to be used at times. The machines are in really great condition and you can tell people do not come often. The thresher is huge and really cool up close. I'm sure it made a heck of a noise back in the day!

In this park you can learn about the history of the family and the town or just sit back an relax and enjoy a nice quiet day. This is a wonderful little park to bike or walk through. The grass is well kept. Love the little…read moregazebo and benches, plus a picnic table. It's a nice little oasis. The park itself doesn't have a parking lot, and the closest business parking lot has signs everywhere that say don't park there. My recommendation is to turn down Kennedy, take the fourth turn at the traffic circle, and park along the road near the greenway that leads to the park. There's also a sculpture garden nearby, and if you follow the greenway the neighbors created a little bear garden with jokes, and there's even another park with a goat pasture as well.

The Nature Area featured purpose built nature play structures which were creatively and naturally playfully designed. Many people visit to take a dip in St Vrain Creek, some on tubes. My dogs definitely loved splashing through the area. There is no playground equipment for kids if that's what you are looking for. There are stumps and logs to climb and explore. There are not too many shaded areas, so be aware during the heat of summer. There are a couple of covered picnic tables available. Be aware of your surroundings when visiting. There was trash left around part of Discovery Island & tent in some bushes. During one morning visit, I was followed, harassed and cursed at by a homeless man. I reported it, but I don't think it was taken seriously. During another visit, we saw someone who appeared to be some type of security, but we saw that he only visited the parking lot - that's not going to deter much. This place would be five stars if it was safe and you didn't have to watch your back when visiting.

Came on an early Friday afternoon so it was busy but not overwhelmingly so. Lots of age ranges (ours was the littlest but the big kids were very respectful) and so many fun water features that cater to a wide array of ages and comfort levels. Very clean and well cared for with plenty of shady picnic tables adjacent to the splash pad. Once we finished getting soaked (parents who need to be near their little one, note you will absolutely get drenched) we tried off in the playground which was also top notch. Lots of cool features and again, clean and cared for. When we needed a break from the sunny swings, there were more shaded picnic tables next to a huge grassy field. The charcoal grills are also huge. You could spend a whole day here, easy. I can't wait to come back for more fun memories!

Really enjoy the design and open layout of this park. I've seen a few birthday parties hosted at the nearby tables adjacent to the playground. Still even on the weekends the park never seems to be over crowded. Even in the heat of summer the water features next to the playground are in use but not swarmed. Lots of nice businesses nearby you can walk to so a great location all around. Certainly one of the premier parks in the local area.
