I've been coming to Pong Lindhagen for months now, and I've watched it transition from mediocre…read morefood court to a full-blown fancy pants sit down restaurant. Along with this transition came a raise in prices, a much better atmosphere, and a wider selection of foods and desserts. I've never actually sat and had a menu item here, because I can't pass up a buffet. The options are vast enough to please almost everyone, from pot stickers, cold salads, soup, rice, chicken, beef, sushi, seafood dishes... the list goes on. It's a typical Asian fusion joint, so you can expect those type of dishes to be served. I'm not sure about other Pongs, but here we also have chocolate and vanilla mousse, panna cotta, and DIY soft serve with sauces. This Pong also serves booze now, so you can enjoy a nice glass of wine or beer with your meal :) I have to add a disclaimer that there have been ups and downs during my visits here. A couple of times, the food wasn't at its best. Granted, they were still renovating and moving (a few meters.. hehe), so I chock it up to that. Overall, I have loved my experiences here.

They were serving a reduced menu it seemed. There were only a handful of options. But we were starving so we just picked some stuff and crossed our fingers. We ordered the cloudy ramen, which was totally fine ramen but nothing hugely tremendous about it. Still on a nice cold snowy day, it really did hit the spot. My mushroom bao looked good but was very difficult to eat. It was overstuffed and split straight down the middle immediately. It just turned into a real hot mess so I just ate the pieces out of my dish. I did note that the bao buns are stored in a glass case on the counter. I don't know if this impacts the quality of the bun or how long they sit in there, but I did wonder if maybe this didn't help the bun's integrety. But for what it was worth, it WAS tasty. And we got the Korean chicken, which was sticky covered in sauce and pretty decent. Our service was just kind of meh... we were seated and abandoned for about 20 minutes. My husband was actually just about to get up to leave when the waiter finally remembered we were there. In the meantime, another party was seated, provided water and ordered before we were addressed. Sigh. We also had to request our check at the end of the meal. Overall it was fine. Would we come back? Probably not.

We stumbled upon this one and came here for dinner one night. We weren't very hungry and we love bao buns, so that's all we got. We got the duck, chicken, pork belly, and shrimp. There was a lot of plants integrated a nice wood designs. It's fast casual, so you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The service is really fast. I would definitely recommend eating here -- especially if you are trying to eat on a budget in Stockholm.

The room is extremely noisy, like all the noise and chatter bounces off the ceiling and walls, gets amplified somehow and comes into your ear like a horrible cacophony. It was taxing on the ear and the voice to understand and be understood in this environment. A wide variety of Asian fusion dishes were available at normal dinner prices. In fact I think the menu was a bit too long - more options is not always better, and this place is on the line. Everyone who wanted was served miso soup as an appetizer, which was nice. The main course was good although the presentation ranges from bad to okay. One person in my group complained that it was way too spicy although that dish was not marked up as spicy on the menu. Tables are so small that things that are supposed to be shared can't be placed at the middle of the table. This made me eat up all the nuts that were placed beside my food when apparently I was supposed to share them with my friend (I wasn't told). This place has good food, but the acoustics are too bad (the noise level) and it's too cramped to climb into the 4 star range.

They cost a bit more (10kr) than your standard sushi joint for a vegetarian selection, but the leap in quality/effort is huge. I was watching the guys assemble this and they really put a lot of care into the presentation/little elements of the vegetarian sushi. Each piece had an additional element to liven it up, like roasted onion/sesame seeds that somewhat boring vegetables often need. The pickled cucumber had a really great sweetness and there were generous servings of all the pickled onion/ginger/wasabi which I love. 4 stars for really making an effort with the veggie alternative.
