The workers in the restaurant seemed to not really care that some dishes were almost empty, as they passed by, looked around, and left without replacing anything. In addition, this place looks really rough. The ceiling is literally pieces of A4 papers and newspapers taped together. The decor looks like it was bought in 1982 and never cared for or refurbished. I really should've taken pictures. I couldn't believe my eyes! As for the food, there were some positives about the experience. Some of the dishes were edible and the sushi rolls were ok as well. However... I struggled to chew through some of the dumpling wrappers. I had to spit out some beef. The rice took a few good, strong swings to release itself from the serving spoon. The shumai and potstickers were so sticky and over-steamed that trying to pick one up was an impossible task. I've never before felt so betrayed by bamboo steamers in my life. I always go for take out and bring the food to the office. Sawadee provides your average thai food - the have the typical extensive menu of Swedish thai restaurants and the quality of many dishes can be questioned. The sheer volume at lunch does however mean that things never have time to stand around for long so in that sense things are fresh. I tried a few different dishes and the curries are edible but not good. Some of the specials are however decent such as the steamed chicken with ginger as well as noodle soups. So if you are in Kista this place serves acceptable food and as long as you do not have to eat in the food court the experience may be at least not unpleasant. Normally I would lean towards giving it 2 star rating but in the area it ia actually one of the better options.

Buffet looks well stocked and maintained. Check. Screaming baby...not on the list, but check anyway. Dumplings, sushi, and what appeared to be standard buffet staples were all here. I couldn't read the Swedish/Chinese labels but I know chicken when I see it...or is that fish? Eh well, on the plate you go! In the end, it was really quite tasty. Veggies were cooked just right. I'm a big time fan of Pong buffets, so I had high expectations of this place after reading reviews. Well, my expectations were met! The variety of food here is crazy. I didn't know where to start! I liked that they had quite a few different kinds of sushi to choose from. Someone else mentioned this as well: I wish they had more labels. I could identify most things but a few items had no label so I couldn't really tell what they were. No matter- I eat anything and everything (no allergies or intolerances) so it wasn't a huge problem for me. It was all so tasty! To top it all off, the ice cream buffet! You can scoop your own and add toppings (candy included!) which was so fun and made me feel like a kid again. I was pleasantly stuffed when I left, and I didn't have to eat for the rest of the day. Perfect Sunday, if you ask me.
