In addition to my horrendous experience, I discovered I had referred a new Miami Beach family friend to Dr. Gohill (I thought he was good) and the family had relocated to Boca Raton I found out her son also had a horrible job and that the Boca orthodontist offered to finish the job for free when he saw her child while attending one off her younger children since he was so horrified with the work. I have asked Dr. Gohill for a 50% refund but he only offered for her to come back for a 3rd time for free and I told him I would rather pay and leave a factual review. The practice is clean and inviting, the staff friendly and professional and the doctor has performed miracles on all things related to my children's teeth (bite, alignment, etc.). Dr. DeRoode is on top of the latest procedures as well as innovative and meticulous with her care. She always has time to explain what she believes the best way to treat their orthodontic needs. My children love going to their visits: we rarely have to wait more than 10 min. and the office has iPads, magazines and various contests patients can participate in for exciting prizes . In addition, patients are motivated to perform good dental hygiene /care for their braces and collect points for which can be exchanged for gift cards and movie passes. I have recommended Dr. DeRoode to various people, all of which are as highly satisfied as we are. I'll be sad when we will no longer be in need of her services.

I was able to get an appointment in less than one week, valet parking is free and relatively easy compared to other places in Miami, and the waiting room was very efficient. All the staff members I encountered were extremely pleasant. The only reason I give four stars was that there was a little bit of a mix up with what I actually needed since I do not need new orthodontic treatment. That said, Dr. deRoode took a look anyway and did not force any unnecessary treatment / costs on me. In fact she was sorry for the mix-up and did not charge me for the consultation. I will definitely be back when I do need treatment because of how knowledgable, humble, and pleasant Dr. deRoode and her staff were.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell this practice is committed to excellence. The office is beautiful, spotless, environmentally friendly ("green"), and equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology. Every visit was efficient, organized, and focused on providing the best possible patient experience. What truly sets this practice apart, however, is the incredible staff. Everyone is welcoming, professional, and genuinely cares about their patients. I loved Dr Cabrera!!! she is AMAZING! I especially want to recognize Alexa, who became my requested orthodontic technician throughout my treatment. I specifically asked to schedule my appointments with her because she consistently went above and beyond. I had an issue with my braces occasionally coming loose from the brackets, and unlike anyone else, Alexa took the extra time to carefully evaluate the problem, make the necessary adjustments, and ensure everything was secure before I left the office. Her attention to detail, patience, and commitment to doing the job right made an enormous difference in my treatment. Alexa never made me feel rushed. She listened to my concerns, explained what she was doing, and always made sure I was comfortable. That level of dedication is rare and deserves to be recognized. Thank you to the entire team for making what could have been a long and difficult process such a positive experience. I absolutely love my results and am grateful for the exceptional care I received every step of the way. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for outstanding orthodontic care.

I am happy with everything here. The wait time is short, the rooms and equipment are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. My hygienist is awesome! Dr. Plitt is gentle and explains everything very clearly. He's more watchful rather than aggressive in his treatments, meaning he's not jumping to the biggest and most expensive procedure if it's possible that you don't need it. I've had other dentists who I've felt were doing treatments that really weren't necessary... this is not the case with Dr. Plitt. I trust that he has my best interest in mind. What truly sets Dr. Plitt and his staff apart from others is the way they treat my family. They are patient with my kids and make the whole experience fun for them and completely free of anxiety. I had so much fear of dentists as a child, so a dentist and hygienist who can put my kids at ease is a priority of mine. It's one of the reasons I drive all the way from Pinecrest!

Only front top teeth with the hard gum line was a little painful, but that is to be expected. So if you are afraid of needles, don't be if you come here! She is also very personable and a joy to talk with. Answering all your questions, and genuinely seems she truly cares and enjoys her work. I returned 2 more times to finish the work and then also to get a cleaning. Her staff is very nice, warm, and friendly. From appointment, to xrays, to cleaning tech, to everyone I met. I tried making an appointment with this Dentist Office as I saw the reviews were great, however I…read morethink these reviews or at least half are a sham. Prior to making the appointment, Jinelle - not sure if she's an assistant - advised me that I had to change my insurance primary doctor's name to this office so that I can have an appointment there. I followed her instructions, but it was going to take one month to apply (mind you, I needed this appointment sooner than later as I was paranoid about something with my teeth. Finally, one month later I asked Jinelle to help me schedule an appointment where she then told me that they do not take my insurance AT ALL. This came as a shock to me because I would think she would've done me the courtesy to let me know this ONE MONTH PRIOR, during our first initial contact. Supposedly it took affect this month, but I'm sure they knew beforehand this would be the case and were ever so CARELESS to say anything. Unfortunately, I've learned there's not a lot of courtesy or empathy with patients or potential ones from doctors or nurses these days. Which is unfortunate because it's the one main career path that should have it! But I guess all of you are the same, no matter how many good reviews you have. it's a true SHAME. Now, I have to wait another month to change my primary dentist to another dentist before I can finally check my teeth. Added two screenshots from my conversation with Jinelle to show you what lack of empathy is.... Also, let people make appointments via email... it's 2020 after all. (my insurance is METLIFE, in case you have it.. I'll spare you the time and inconsideracy) --- To the response below... it was only after I said I'd write a review on my experience with the office was when I finally got a considerate response to the initial cold/short responses I was getting seeing as they left me waiting an entire month to book an appointment only to let me know that all of a sudden they don't have my insurance and all the wait was for nothing. It was only after I said I was planning to write a review is when they seemed to care about the situation and offered to see me. I have really high values, I don't like giving bad reviews unless I honestly really think there's something wrong morally or there might be something a business can learn for future/potential clients. I did not have an in office visit, but I'm glad I didn't make this my dentist office seeing as how cold and unresponsive I was treated. My initial dentist that does not take my new insurance offered to see me either way without me even having to ask, seeing as how they knew I needed an appointment and they wanted to help as much as they can!! I didn't have to be assertive, I didn't have to ask, I didn't have to say anything about reviews.... they simply offered their services and tried to help me either way. I obviously wanted to find an alternative dentist that did take My insurance which is why I had to look elsewhere. But you should offer solutions to patients or be more caring when there is no solution - ESPECIALLY when they are following the instructions YOU initially gave them in the first place as per the writing above. Just a thought!
