The drug reps also seem to like him, as he's got a sample of everything...great when you're trying different drugs trying to find a good combination to fix you. Downside (or maybe an upside, I guess) is that his billing people are forever slow. Four months after my first appointment, they had never billed me for what was left after insurance. I finally asked about it and they printed me a statement. I guess he doesn't really need the money. :-p. I just don't like having a pile of medical bills...who knows if they'll just forget to bill me one day and turn it over to collections since it's so old.

I wanted to start out getting examined at a regular family practice to get a basic idea of what could be wrong. I called and they were nice. They system fell out while providing my information and I had to repeat ALL of my info on the phone. Ended the call quite annoyed. I came to my appointment as a new patient and was told to not come a minute later than my scheduled time to fill out paperwork. In fact, I was 5 minutes early and couldn't find out who I was supposed to speak with. All of the "Check-In" areas were too busy to even look at me--a sign on the wall caught my eye and said "take a number." I looked all around and had to wait for eye contact from someone on the phone to find out where the numbers were! I took a seat in waiting room filled with unsupervised/roudy children wondering what would happen next. About ten minutes after my scheduled appointment time, the receptionist finally called my number for me to come and fill out paperwork. I was finally called after most of the waiting room cleared out and was asked by a young girl for my weight and height. This office is filled with people fresh out of college. I was then put into an office, and waited for over 20 minutes by myself silently until the young girl came back. I was half asleep and demoralized by the time she even came in. A doctor, looking in his mid twenties comes in. After explaining thoroughly to them where and when my pain was precisely occuring, the only places I was examined with the stethoscope was on my chest, stomach, and back. They also did a unseemingly successful job of checking my leg reflexes. I was prescribed a blood test and was given steroids. All in all, wasting money and almost an hour and a half of my time. St. Lukes--What a joke. Yea, family "practice" all right...

Second time was here, was for my seasonal allergies that became a whole year case for me. I made the appointment, arrived on time and was made to wait 2 hours - only to get an intern and then had to wait another 45 minutes to get me an official resident allergy specialist. Third time I wanted to make an appointment for suspicion of Lyme Disease and their receptionist made no space for me. She sounded lazy and uninterested! I made an appointment at ANOTHER medical clinic and was handled immediately due to my case. I WILL NOT GO BACK to this clinic again.

Then I had a real bad experience from Valley Pain Specialists that I was a patient there for 16 years from a 4 wheeling accident. Well one day a asked to try to get off the heavy stuff but they already screwed me by throwing pills at me never trying to fix the problem. Once I asked that they straight up torchered the crap out of me took me off morphine and Percocet cold turkey and they lowered my non narcotics. When I asked to higher non narcotics and wean off the narcotics. Well I went through hell for a month and a half. I called for the 3 rd time that week and got well this is what you wanted so this is what you got. That brewed in my head all day then I called and let them have it. I fired them that day threatened to call the dea on them I found out later they fired the doctor. But I seen my family Dr Christopher pogodzinski the only doctor that seems to care about you and how you feel. He told me being honest which no one is that either anymore he s not a pain specialist but has done the best job we brought 4 pain meds into one. I have a new pain specialist I wasn't sure about them either till I used there words against them. I've been seeing them 6 months still no meds from them I did there 4 month of physical therapy which helped a little. They give me spine injections every couple weeks which I don't know how they pull that off. Capital blue cross was tuff let alone Ameri health government insurance there impossible I don't know how any doctor can deal with them. But been waiting for disability for 5 years I have no choice I hate it but it's better then nothing. But in my book Christopher pogo is the best doctor I ever had or meet.
