I had issues with a referral and they sent me a bill of $2000.00. I said I would clear up the issue and get a referral to take care of the missing dates. The one girl said its my responsibility to make sure my referrals are up to date, and I said I know that. I get my referrals updated every three months. She said well, they can only go back so far. As I am on the phone with my primary getting this girl an update, she says, go back out to the lobby while I take care of this customer! I was like, wow and the nurse on the phone said, oh my God I cant believe they talk to patients like that. It was embarrassing. So, I stepped out and the other girl asks what I want. So I tell her I need to see the referral #. She hands me the papers. I lean on the counter to write the dates out as the first girl said she couldn't read them, and the second girl says, can you step aside so I can help the next patient. I said im done im just waiting to give these back to you. And again, the nurse on the phone with me heard that and said that was rude. The nurse on the phone asks why they can't look up the referral on the system? I said I dont know. Every time I update my referral I have to ask you to fax it. Additionally, the first girl said I could go get it and bring it in. Why the heck should I, the patient, have to do that? I'm doing my part. Im calling to update the referrals. If they aren't happy doing their job, they should quit and go find another one! The next time I come here to see the doctor I plan to let him know how I was treated. The best office person they have is Melody. The woman is fantastic and extremely polite even in a crisis. Those two young girls should learn from her.

I wanted to start out getting examined at a regular family practice to get a basic idea of what could be wrong. I called and they were nice. They system fell out while providing my information and I had to repeat ALL of my info on the phone. Ended the call quite annoyed. I came to my appointment as a new patient and was told to not come a minute later than my scheduled time to fill out paperwork. In fact, I was 5 minutes early and couldn't find out who I was supposed to speak with. All of the "Check-In" areas were too busy to even look at me--a sign on the wall caught my eye and said "take a number." I looked all around and had to wait for eye contact from someone on the phone to find out where the numbers were! I took a seat in waiting room filled with unsupervised/roudy children wondering what would happen next. About ten minutes after my scheduled appointment time, the receptionist finally called my number for me to come and fill out paperwork. I was finally called after most of the waiting room cleared out and was asked by a young girl for my weight and height. This office is filled with people fresh out of college. I was then put into an office, and waited for over 20 minutes by myself silently until the young girl came back. I was half asleep and demoralized by the time she even came in. A doctor, looking in his mid twenties comes in. After explaining thoroughly to them where and when my pain was precisely occuring, the only places I was examined with the stethoscope was on my chest, stomach, and back. They also did a unseemingly successful job of checking my leg reflexes. I was prescribed a blood test and was given steroids. All in all, wasting money and almost an hour and a half of my time. St. Lukes--What a joke. Yea, family "practice" all right...

Second time was here, was for my seasonal allergies that became a whole year case for me. I made the appointment, arrived on time and was made to wait 2 hours - only to get an intern and then had to wait another 45 minutes to get me an official resident allergy specialist. Third time I wanted to make an appointment for suspicion of Lyme Disease and their receptionist made no space for me. She sounded lazy and uninterested! I made an appointment at ANOTHER medical clinic and was handled immediately due to my case. I WILL NOT GO BACK to this clinic again.

The front desk staff are completely unprofessional -- to the point where they lied to me and told me my doctor refused to print my prescription. I actually had to cancel work meetings and go to the office in person just to speak with my doctor, who was shocked and had no idea her staff told me that. It's clear the front desk makes it hard for patients to reach the doctor, pretending to be "busy" just to avoid helping. Once they realized my insurance wasn't paying their office, they completely stopped returning my calls about my medication. I even left a message with a "student" that was supposed to go to the doctor, but found out later it was never passed along. This place is beyond unprofessional and disorganized. I've since heard they're being investigated, and honestly, I'm not surprised. If you value your time, honesty, and proper medical care -- go somewhere else.
