Upon moving into my new Beechview abode, I was contacted by a (very patient) neighbor who lives behind me on another street. A "mess of vegetation" as she called it, was growing between her backyard and mine, and much of it was poison ivy! The weeds were wrapped around a wooden fence, completely enveloping and obscuring it. My home's previous owner simply neglected it for at least a year.
After getting some really high, out-of-line quotes (Davey Tree Co. wanted $700!!!), a few brush-offs, and being plain ripped-off (two local guys, both brothers, offered to clean up my yard and some other neighbor's yards only to not complete the work and walk off with everyone's money) over the past several months, I was about to borrow a hedge trimmer and do it myself until I was contacted unexpectedly by Zalar's. I had forgotten that I had called an 800 number for referrals some time ago, and Zalar's was the only business to get back to me. Within two days, the "mess" was but a memory. Zalar's also mowed both of my front and back lawns (it had been weeks since I'd cut it) and uncovered a tire, a baseball bat, a large piece of concrete, and a plastic toy gun in performing their "clean-up." They even took away all of the refuse and didn't charge me a cent until the job was finished (they'll send you a bill in the mail if you are not home).
Got yard problems? Call Zalar's first thing tomorrow so that your unruly vegetation can meet...
