Stayed here for two days during Fallas and honestly could not have felt more welcome. Yes it's bare bones but the breakfast was yummy, the shower huge, and the employees helpful and kind. read more

The place is very clean, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are big. It's possible to have breakfast too for not too much money. The only inconvenience that we encountered was the bed of my travel companion, which broke down one evening because it was cheap Ikea material. We called the landlady over the parlophone to explain the problem three times and three times she told us that she couldn't understand us. That could have either meant that she really didn't understand us or that she didn't want to understand us because it was nine-o'-clock in the evening. If it was the first case I really hope that the parlophone has been fixed now for other guests not to have kindlike problems. The day after we were any way offered free breakfast to compensate for the inconvenience, so I didn't feel like I had that much to complain about.

Closer metro stations are Aragon and Facultats. City center is reachable in 15 minutes walk, or with a few bus/metro station, and more or less at the same distance but on the opposite direction there's the Playa de Malvarrosa. The flat consists in four bedrooms (a single, a double with bunk beds, a double, and a double with a third bed for a kid), two bathrooms (one with shower nd one with tub), a fully furnished kitchen available for use, and a large living room with TV. There's also a terrace, washing machine, and free Wi-Fi internet. A basic breakfast is included every morning, but it can be integrated with personal shopping and the use of the kitchen. Rooms furniture is also pretty essential, but for a few days' stay and for the cheap price it's definitely OK IMHO. If I am going to return to Valencia in the next future I'll probably stay here again, despite being a bit out of the center.

They've used lot of granite/marble in the bathrooms. Beds were not comfortable. One of the beds creaked too. Had dinner in the hotel's restaurant, which was very disappointing. Ordered Paella, which looked very impressive when they brought it in. But, the rice was undercooked and had no flavor.

Across the street is a Corte Ingles, where you can pick up groceries or go on a shopping spree. There also are a lot of restaurants in the area. As its name implies, it is close to the aquarium and other buildings in the City of Arts and Sciences. That means it also is close to the large park where the river once was around the old city. The service at the front desk also is good, and the front desk can sell discounted tickets to the aquarium. The rooms are small and not much to look at, but they are very clean. The wifi does not work well and basically cut in and out the whole time we were there, making it impossible to play any movies or shows on our iPads. As a result of the poor wifi, I would not recommend it to someone who is travelling on business. The location definitely is the best thing about the hotel, which must be getting it the rating it has (along with the cost). Aside from the location and good service, it is a low frills hotel with looks to meet the low cost. So, depending on what you are looking for this hotel may or may not work for you. I would consider staying again if the price was good, although I definitely would also look at the other available options.

Breakfast was good and the place offered fresh healthy juices that you could watch them make in front of you. I recommend that when in the area, you are careful of your belongings. They also have an on-site parking garage (priced around 18E a night). The staff was friendly, helpful, and provided great recommendations. The rooms were large, luxurious, and very comfortable. The location was great for a beach getaway as you open right up to a stunning fountain as you head to the beach. There are a number of restaurants all within walking distance and many of the main stops are a quick taxi or drive away. Las Arenas can be expensive, but it is certainly worthwhile in the offseason (we went in early October), where you can still get beach and pool weather, the property is less crowded, and prices are a steal!

Our tub had large areas where the grout was gone. The room was not particularly clean (someone else's hair was on the floor behind the bathroom door.) And for 13 euros, I didn't think the breakfast was very good. On our last day, I tried to eat some, but ended up leaving it- and the coffee was not great. The orange juice was good- I'll give them that. Literally every where we ate was better (with the Hotel Catalunya being the best)We were coming from Madrid (before going to Barcelona)- so maybe our standards were too high, but our room was just sad. On top of the damage already mentioned there were stains on the chair, dirt marks and LOTS of nicks in the walls and on the wood furniture and there were uncomfortable twin beds- plus the blankets look like they are about 20 years old (you know that matted look blankets get?) Also, one of the two cards they gave us did not work. If I come back to Valencia, and I hope I don't have to, I would not stay here. We saw some other hotels- and went in to check a couple out. I would definitely look elsewhere. Trying to be positive, the staff is very nice and the courtyard outside is lovely. There are lots of places to eat around this area (but there are also other, nicer, places to stay!) Everyone in our group complained about this hotel. Everyone. I don't believe I met anyone who was satisfied. Maybe it used to be better- but I'd avoid this hotel and book something cleaner and more modern.

The hotel overlooks a small square with a fountain; there was live music during dinner each night out there. Quite enjoyable! Easy access to the hotel and not too far from the city center, but the bulk of the positive review comes from their spectacular breakfast buffet! I had my fair share of breakfast buffets in Spain, but this one blew it out of the water. The quality of the food was top notch, they offered a huge variety for all, including allergy visitors (Gluten Free, Soy Free,Vegan, etc). If you stay here do not miss out on their freshly squeezed OJ from the local Valencia oranges, well worth it! Fast forward to the room, very modern, TONS of space, nice view of the city (On the higher levels), decent amount of amenities, but if I had to pick out one negative, it would be the lousy beds. With all of that said, the positives outweigh the negatives easily in this scenario. I guess I should mention the very affordable price point this hotel offers, which I could chalk up to the fact that Valencia is not as popular for tourists compared to the many other tourist populated cities in Spain. That is not to take away from this gorgeous city though, as it is well worth a visit for its breathtaking architecture and many worthwhile attractions. In the end, I could easily recommend this hotel to any looking for a up to date luxury style hotel at a great price point!

That said, it's a perfectly nice mid-range hotel, pretending to be upscale, with most of the right amenities, and decently updated rooms and very good service. The staff was great throughout, and while the rooms are generic and pretty spare, they are modern with a good layout and lots of space. The breakfast buffet is nice and fresh, a good variety and the room it's in has a nice view. If you're staying on the Calle Menorca side of the hotel, you will get some traffic noise seeping in -- room soundproofing here isn't the best.
