Came here for breakfast. Their sign said the best breakfast in town. And they were right. I had fried eggs served over baby octopus. Who knew? It was in a sauce of white wine, garlic, and red pepper flakes, sprinkled with watercress. They gave you some lovely bread to sop up all the juice. Which I did this was like $10 US. Came here alone while touring Gdansk. Someone recommended it, saying that while it was new it had jumped in the ratings in the last 6 months. It is attached to the Hanza Hotel, so don't walk past it like I did! They fill up pretty quickly, so call ahead for a reservation if you have a larger party. The service was great and the woman I think they all speak English well. I had a traditional soup and appetizer and was recommended a beer that I ended up LOVING. In honor of International Women's Day, the chef prepared a little treat for the female patrons- dark chocolate cake with whipped cream with a coffee. I then proceeded to purchase another dessert. Had a dinner the last night in Gdańsk with friends. Had an early dinner which was no problem for the restaurant. Waiter was outstanding and explained dishes not known to us. Perch was delicious as was the halibut and veal sirloin. Nice ambiance and excellent food. Eat here when in the water front in this beautiful city. read more

It's right on the waterfront of Gdansk, but its has a very nice setup with outdoor seating that's covered and nice windows to give you some space from the busy walkway. It's in the Hanza Hotel so you can use the hotel free wifi. I ordered the salmon appetizer and the halibut entree. I have to say, both were really good. The price range was about $15 USD (after conversion) per dish which is a bargain for what you get. So nice decor and nice food! Great food in a tourist area...I know what a surprise :) My tip, if you got time, go for the outdoor seating and get the table with sofa seating. Just relax, enjoy the meal, and watch the world walk by :) read more
