Polish staple buckwheat rye soup with two different sausages and potatoes. Fresh squeeze orange juice and grapefruit juice.

They are always crowded, I waited probably 30 min to be seat at 2pm. Well worth the wait. This is the place to go to if you are new to Poland (like me) and want to try fresh made Pierogis. I spent the wait time chatting with travelers from the UK and have disturbed the Pierogi chefs a little too much i ordered fresh squeezed orange grapefruit juice, buckwheat rye soup (polish staple), teapot of Mandy special (some sort of white tea with goji berry and another fruit), pear blue cheese pierogi with goji berry sauce, and wild boar pierogi. Highly recommend!

These are so so yummy and if you ever find yourself in Gdańsk it would be criminal not to get these!!

Not sure of everything we go but the top right is the chorizo ones. Definitely recommend those.

Everything on the menu was delightful. We ordered potato soup and tomato soup both delightful. And split about 6 different pierogies. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu

Pumpkin dumplings, chorizo and bacon, and baked dumplings filled with chicken. My favorite were the pumpkin!

The food was delicious! In the front of the restaurant you can see them making the perogies which was nice and she's the freshness of their food. So many choices to choose from. Make sure to ask for an English menu if needed. Overall great experience here. I would definitely return if I visited Gdansk again.

Mandu was a pleasant stop on my day in the city. It was quite crowded to the annual festival but we didn't have to wait too long. There were some Mandu beach chairs laid out against the building along the sidewalk. They also offered us drinks while we waited. The atmosphere is modern and a little quirky (I mean this as a compliment). There is efficiency in the air. They advertise "Pierogi like your Babci used to make," but even she didn't make some of these You can choose from sweet or savory (I chose the strawberry as most of the pierogi I've had in my life has been savory). I wanted something unique and unforgettable - I chose wisely! It was so delicious and filling. My table mate chose soup and pierogi and it was a bit much. No matter what you choose, you can't go wrong. Now, I don't normally review bathrooms, but I loved their bathroom so much (despite it not having enough tp- FYI be prepared!). They made the most out of a little space. A shared sink area with a closed in bathroom on each side. Above the sink was a passage of Alice in Wonderland in Polish. The doors to the toilets looked like giant playing cards. The toilet rooms had giant murals of the original illustrations from the book. I'm not sure what the connect of Mandu is to Alice in Wonderland, but I enjoyed it immensely. I would recommend to anyone visiting the old city or in the area. The location is nice. While I can't compare to many of the local restaurants, I think you'll be happy if you have a bite and Mandu's!

Line was LONG the entire time we were there but it's worth the wait! Excellent food and delightfully friendly staff. Highly recommend! Great atmosphere both inside and out.

The restaurant Mandu specializes in just one thing: dumplings. But the selection of fillings on the menu here went far beyond classic Polish pierogies and included influences from cuisines from all around the world. It was almost impossible to choose from the huge menu, but after starting with a bowl of zurek (a sour rye soup with sausage, bacon, potatoes, and horseradish), we had the pierogies with wild boar meat, which had a peppery flavor and a dry texture that went together nicely with the creamy mushroom sauce on top. Next, we tried the "Dumpling of the Month," which was a baked turnover (almost like an empanada) with a "Mexican" filling of minced beef/pork, peppers, onions, beans, tomatoes, and peri peri. The baked dough had a much more bready texture than the pierogies, and these dumplings went nicely with the dill-yogurt sauce we got on the side, which added a refreshing tangy contrast to the hearty filling. Along with the dumplings, we ordered sides of the sweet grated carrot salad and the tangy sauerkraut, a mixture of fermented cabbage and chunks of apple. Overall, this was a great restaurant to try out flavors from all around the world--all united by the common delivery system that is.. the dumpling!

My husband and I had an in credible meal when we first arrived in Gdansk. Seeing as how we're from SE Michigan, and have a large Polish population in the area, we're well-versed in pierogi. The quality of the dumplings here were TOP NOTCH. They were flavor explosions. We shared two 9-piece plates - one of the chicken leg and veggies, and the other the spicy beef and peppers. Both were absolutely amazing. We finished with the apple pie and the apple-filled dumplings for dessert, and were so pleased. Recommend.

The pierogis were absolutely fantastic. We tried the potato with cheese, spinach, and beef mushroom. The dill sauce was particularly flavorful. Service was fast and friendly, with no wait. This is on the edge of old town, but worth the walk. The prices were quite reasonable since they are off the beaten path.

Talk about fresh. As you walk in there is a window into prep area where you can watch them being made. Nice updated building in an area you would not find this place unless you research. Easy walking from old town river walk area. Very busy location. My wife and I are not experts but have made pieroge's at home. What we had were very good in our opinion. Service a great, atmosphere is geared towards all including families. The menu is very extensive, something for everyone. Recommend the this business if you are looking to eat any type of dumplings.

If you love polish food, handmade pierogies, and a warm atmosphere this place is worth a visit. We overordered because we could not decide. They have all different styles of pierogies and dumplings. Try several. They are reasonable priced and all were great!

Great service with a super helpful server. Unfortunately, they were out of fried dumplings but the other options were delicious. We got the 1, 2, 6, 10 and then the Buffalo chicken. Definitely recommend 2 and the Buffalo the most.

Great atmosphere, very good food and service. Had Pelmeni, potato perogie and strawberry perogie. All 3 items were excellent.

There are usually several options and the meals are generally inexpensive. As it has been chilly, I've been craving soup. The lady taking the order thankfully speaks English so I didn't have to embarrass myself with my limited Polish knowledge, phew! She told me what she had for soup and I selected beef stroganoff. She asked if I wanted bread with it which I declined. I wanted to try their pork cutlet which I obliged to have with mashed potatoes. The soup, the pork dish and water amounted to less than $15 which is certainly less expensive than most cities in the US. The soup and dish were both delicious. Just couldn't give them 5 stars as I felt the pork would have been much better if it was hot and crunchy(it was just warm). The soup could have also been hotter. I think they don't wipe the tables as often as they should either. This milk bar is nicely decorated though. Considering it is very close to the city center, it is undoubtedly great value for money. Oh, btw, they have an English menu but I didn't see it until before I left
