Mr. Electric agreed to provide a free estimate for a residential income property that we manage…read moreremotely. The technician arrived two hours late and met our handyman, who provided access to the property before leaving. Our handyman reiterated that the owner's approval is required before any work is done. The technician quickly identified the issue and then left the property. Afterward, Mr. Electric's team attempted to contact us for the next hour, but we were unavailable. Despite not having received any approval from us, and without providing any estimate (either verbal or written), the technician was instructed to re-enter the home and complete the repair anyway. Later, when my wife called Mr. Electric, the secretary informed her that the work had already been completed, and the amount owed was $478. The secretary claimed that our housekeeper had given approval. While my wife was glad to hear the work was completed, she was confused by the mix-up and the high cost. Afterwards, my wife reviewed the security footage, documenting the entire visit--including the entry and exit times, the time the technician was sitting in the vehicle, and the tools used by the technician. The price being charged was four times higher than what we've paid multiple times for similar services in Gulfport. We're happy to pay for unapproved work due to a misunderstanding, but we're not comfortable paying for the hours a technician was asked to idle in our parking lot. My wife called back to discuss the issue and find a fair resolution, but was met with a combative and unapologetic secretary. No resolution was offered. Things took a turn for the worse when my wife asked me to call the owner, Kenny Moore, to try to expedite a resolution. Before I had the chance, we received a letter threatening to place a lien on our property (see attached Notice of Intent to File Mechanical Lien). What? The next day, I spoke with Kenny Moore. We had a civil conversation, and he apologized for the misunderstanding. I reluctantly accepted his offer to reduce the amount owed to $374.21. When I asked if I could make the payment right away, he said he was busy and asked me to call him the next day to process it. To my surprise, the following morning, I received a two-page agreement (see attached Settlement Agreement 03.2025) from Kenny Moore, outlining eight clauses I would need to agree to before making the payment--one of which included waiving our right to share our experience. I responded, requesting that this particular clause be removed. Kenny declined and insisted the agreement would remain as-is (see attached Email Thread with Kenneth Moore). At this point, we're at a loss as to how to proceed with payment for a service we never authorized in the first place. Summary: * Never received an estimate. * Never provided approval for the work. * Work was completed anyway. * An adjusted price was agreed upon by Kenny Moore. * Kenny Moore later rescinded the agreement and imposed a contract with unfair terms. We have security footage documenting the entire visit and a housekeeper who is willing to provide a sworn statement. Hopefully, this share helps others - especially those managing remotely. Don't be taken advantage of!

I hired this "company" to repair and replace our sewer lines in our home. Upon first meeting John…read morehe seemed very professional but that was very short lived. John gave me a quote and assured me the job would be completed the next day. That was far from the truth. I paid his deposit of $2,217.00 that day. He did arrive with a tractor the following morning and I informed him that we had an irrigation system. He said not to worry that he'd repair anything damaged. He proceeded to dig an enormous trench in our yard, disconnected the working plumbing that we did have and left without any communication whatsoever. When I called him that day to ask about it, he told me to have myself and my family use the plumbing as usual and that it would drain into the trench that they would cover the next day. This was completely unacceptable and unsanitary! I took matters in my own hands and plumbed in one side of our home temporarily to get us through the night after we discovered that he also had broke the water line to my shop in the backyard so we weren't able to use that bathroom either! He did in fact come back the next day but only to dig some more and return the tractor to the rental company. I asked about the irrigation and he said that he wouldn't be able to repair that but, if I knew someone that could, to have them come out, which we did. Via phone text because he said he wasn't able to make it back out and his phone wasn't working , John told our landscaper to give him the bill and if it were too expensive he'd file it on his insurance. After my landscaper and his crew spent several ours trying to locate and repair all the wiring and plumbing the landscaper said that the damage was to severe to repair and would be cheaper to replace the system. John, told him and I to give him a quote and he'd move forward with an insurance claim. During this time we still had no plumbing and no plumber on site even though he assured us it would be done. That was the last time myself or my landscaper has heard from him. He will not answer our calls or texts. The damages that he caused to our plumbing, irrigation and yard combined has been quoted to us from other companies for $25,800!!!! I once again reached out to him both by phone call and text with no response. I sent a text stating that I would file a dispute with my credit card for the deposit and that this would be the best way for both us as we would walk our separate ways. Again, no response! Today I received a call from my credit card company stating the John is attempting to submit documentation of his costs. I responded with all of this information and they agreed that he should not be paid but would reach out again and allow another 30 days for his response. The attempt that I originally tried to patch the plumbing temporarily only lasted for about three days (I'm not a plumber) before it started backing up into our house. My family and I went without plumbing for three weeks while the other company worked to not only correct everything that John did wrong, but correct and repair the original issue. If John does not release the dispute that he has made with my credit card company, my family and I will absolutely address all of this with him in court for not only the deposit but all of the other costs that he has caused to our home and property. We have pictures, videos, other contractors who have volunteered to testify as they were working on our property at the same time and witnessed this all happen, our landscaper, as well as the new plumbers we hired along with formal quotes to repair the damages he did to back up all of these claims. In no way would we ever recommend this guy! I would STRONGLY recommend to anyone considering him, to Google his name and phone number. You will see that he has multiple business names with numerous negative reviews! I wish that I would have before hiring him originally. Don't get burned!!!
