Vanguard was one of them. I don't know/or didn't know if this place was for people looking for full time and temp work or just temp work. I just got a nice call from a guy named Brian and came in the next day, filled out an application (although I was confused by that, since I wasn't applying for a job with Vanguard) and had a nice discussion with said Brian about what I was looking for. Fine so far. Then, he proceeded to present me with so much paperwork, I thought I was being arrested or signing up for sex reassignment surgery. I didn't actually think much of it but didn't have the time to sit there and go through it, as I had another appointment that I was already late for. When Brian was nice enough to e-mail me the stuff to fill out, I looked at it carefully. Why do they need to have my DIRECT DEPOSIT INFORMATION???? I want a FULL TIME job. I DO NOT WORK FOR VANGUARD. This is really ambiguous and a bit decieving. There is absolutely no reason why they should have any of that information unless you are tempting through them. Just a warning. I'm not sending any of this stuff back. Obviously. What's your favorite employment agency, btw? It's been about 10 years since I've looked for a job!

I was not in a good financial place and felt like I could get dismissed for being overqualified or slammed because I didn't formally make an appointment but they did goy me on board very quickly in the long term temporary assignment I'm still on now. My interactions with staff have always been professional and Jennifer herself has always made me feel like she had my back and supported me, something very people have done in my professional life. While there have been situations they can't control that have popped up in my assignment, Percy and other staff members have made me feel like they cared and took what I said seriously. They've also never been flaky on pay and made sure their workers get paid on time. I told them about a pending wage theft case for a substantial sum that I'm still dealing with and they have never, ever expected me to work for "maybe" money or put me off on that front. But what really makes them above and beyond is the fact that they sent me a New Year's gift card that I wasn't even expecting to thank me for my service. Many employers and contractors I worked with didn't do that. They are the only temp agency I've dealt who ever did that so if I knew someone who needed temps or someone who needed a job they had to fill, I'd refer them here in a heartbeat.
