Z’s Cigar Lounge - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Bakersfield, California

+ I recently had the absolute pleasure of visiting Z's Cigar Lounge in Bakersfield and spending some time with Z herself. She didn't just point me toward cigars--she took the time to ask the right questions about my preferences and really dialed in on my palate. The result was one of the best cigar lounge experiences I've ever had. Her first recommendation was the Tatuaje Avión '13 Corojo, a rare limited-edition Nicaraguan puro I never would have picked on my own. It turned out to be a phenomenal smoke, layered with complexity and balance. She also introduced me to the My Father Blue, a historic release from the García family's Honduran factory. Smooth, flavorful, and refined--it was exactly the kind of cigar I had been looking to add to my rotation. The lounge itself is everything you want in a cigar spot: relaxing, comfortable, and stocked with an impressive selection at fair price points. But what sets it apart is Z herself. She has a wealth of knowledge and an approachable way of guiding both seasoned smokers and newcomers. Even as someone who's been smoking cigars for years and has a pretty tuned palate, I walked away surprised, impressed, and more excited than ever to try new blends. If you're new to cigars and want to feel comfortable, or if you're an experienced smoker looking for something rare and special, I can't recommend Z's Cigar Lounge enough. This place is a true gem in Bakersfield. read more

If you're in Bakersfield and looking for a well stocked cigar lounge with a wide range of quality cigars at a great price, excellent service and selection, and classy people then look no more. Z's Cigar Lounge is hands down the classiest cigar lounge in the south San Joaquin Valley. Who needs to watch championship games when you can share a good stick with game champions! Stay connected with Z's and don't miss an event! You too could win big prizes! But the best prize of all is the amazing friendships you will gain, and everyone wins that prize here. read more

The service was excellent. I was kindly greeted almost immediately when walking in. I let them know I was just passing through and that didn't change anything. They treated me like a regular. Showed me around and let me know how to go about enjoying the experience. The selection of cigars was amazing. So many to choose from. Everything seemed priced very fair. I met some regulars and walked out making some pals. Can't wait to stop in again. read more

I want to preface this review with the fact that I do not smoke cigars for reference. We were here because my husband smokes them occasionally and likes to keep a few on hand at the house. I often get dragged around to cigar shops and I usually do not enjoy it. The other day when I went into this shop, it was truly just to be supportive. I was very pleasantly surprised when we got inside! This shop sells a great variety of humidors of varying sizes, tools you would need, and obviously cigars. The cigars are inside a giant sealed room with a humidifier. I saw the owner add water while I was there and she uses higher end water, even. They had quite a bit of selection and even some gift sets, which helped for Christmas. In the back theres an awesome smoking room with comfy chairs and several TVs. The store was very clean, did not smell overpowering of cigar smoke (yay for me!), and is designed and decorated better than any of the many cigar shops I've been into. The owner was super helpful, can make great recommendations if asked, and is super pleasant. If I ever have to pick up cigars for him or someone else, this will be the spot! What a cool find. read more

5 stars are not enough to rate. The experience here was over the top. Zahara is very professional and an outstanding host. The lounge is modern with fantastic artwork. The clientele was very friendly and made us feel like home, matter of fact it was very hard to leave. Awesome store but wow prices are crazy , also clerk didn't wanna help me in walk-in even though I was the only one in the shop.

I love the quality, section and prices; however, was extremely disappointed for the third time in the last six weeks I arrived at 10:05am (five minutes after they had opened), discovered that the security gate had been opened & the neon open sign was turned on and a hand written "be back in 5 minutes" had been taped to a locked door! After waiting 20 minutes and still no one had returned to open, I left in frustration- this morning with 5 other customers who no longer wanted to wait. I don't understand how or why this has become a normal or constant business practice. read more
