Dr. Thornton is an artist. I had a BL/BA (breast lift / breast augmentation) in August 2025. The…read moreresults have exceeded my modest expectations. I was referred to him by my facial plastic surgeon in Fort Worth. This turned out to be the best referral I've ever received. I had a BL/BA in March 2022 by a different Southlake plastic surgeon. The results left my breasts looking *worse*. They were larger (thanks to the BA I was told was the only way to achieve upper pole volume - it isn't) and drooping more than pre-surgery. The areolas had also greatly expanded. I had a revision surgery in March 2022 with better results, but still had significant ptosis. The right breast implant was noticeably higher than the left. The left had fallen out of it's pocket and was slipping. The doctor was unwilling to listen to my concerns and tried to gaslight me into not believing my eyes. I had given up by the time I met Dr. Thornton in 2024. The consultation changed everything. He was gently honest that my results could be significantly better if my BMI were in a heathier range. At the time, I was 5' 1", 185#. He was NOT rude, condescending or taking any pleasure in telling me the simple truth. I appreciated his honesty and got to work. Improving my diet and increasing my exercise - in addition to reducing my nightly glass of wine to one glass every 3 - 4 months led to a dramatic transformation. I went back to visit Dr. Thornton in July 2025 at a healthy 120#. I wasn't just skinnier, I was healthier with proper nutrition, plenty of physical activity and a healthy mindset. We scheduled surgery for a month later. My expectations were set in a clear direction. Dr. Thornton acknowledged that he didn't know what he would find coming in after another surgeon. He was able to diagnose the slipped implant and had a plan on how to correct it. He wasn't going to over-promise and under-deliver. I felt secure in the knowledge that I was in capable hands. Fast forward a month and the results are BETTER than I could have dreamed. Recovery was so much easier than the previous two surgeries, even though the procedure was more involved and took longer. I credit Dr. Thornton's skills and his choice to use the Keller Funnel. Even before scar mitigation, my incisions are almost invisible. My breasts are sitting high on my chest and the implants are perfectly symmetrical. Communication is very important to me. Even if I had clicked with a surgeon, if his staff wasn't a good fit, I would have walked away. His nurse Tina is warm, caring, personable and reassuring. She's such an asset!! I sincerely appreciate the kindness and unending patience from Skylar and Courtney. Honorable mention: the surgery center Dr. Thornton uses, Mansfield Surgery Center is ultra clean, staffed with the kindest staff (shout out to Wendy and Michael). The anesthesiologist, Dr. Meiser was phenomenal. Bottom line: you will get out of the surgery what you put into it - follow your PS's directions, DON'T SMOKE, watch your nutrition, live a healthy, active lifestyle, ask questions and keep a positive attitude.

My son and I both have been clients of Dr. Thornton…read more Dr. Thornton listens to hear his clients. He never rushed us through our appointments and seems to genuinely care. He was pure in his recommendations and did not try to push additional services. I have nothing, but good things to say about his work ethics. Work ethics like his is rare nowadays and is greatly appreciated.

He was kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I am beyond grateful for the results and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a talented and caring plastic surgeon. I also want to thank his staff -- all of the ladies in the office were so sweet, welcoming, and caring every single visit. It really made such a difference during my experience. I highly recommend Dr. Burkett and his team!

Dr. Burkett came from home at 10pm to help us out. He was very efficient with the stitch work. It was very even and stopped the bleeding. He kept calm throughout the entire procedure. Let me tell you, my 15 month old was kicking and screaming. I was horrified about the effects but Dr. Burkett was very calm and assured me that my son would be running around the next day, which is exactly what he did. He said that my son would probably not even notice the pain or notice his stitches, but I still asked for pain medication and he gave me a prescription to ease my worry. He told me to call his office and schedule an appointment to get the stitches taken out. He also stated that he doesn't have an automated phone system and that a live person would answer. So when I called, sure enough a sweet lady picked up and got my information down to schedule my appointment. Fast forward a week later. The swelling on my son's face was gone and from a distance you couldn't tell he had stitches on his face (he got it in 4 places). We walk into his nice office and all the ladies behind the reception desk started talking to my son and trying to make him smile. The waiting room is surrounded by framed photography from Dr. Burkett by the way, all of which are beautiful. When they called us back, Dr. Burkett was standing in front of the room and greeted Brandon. He remembered him! We laid my son on the exam room bed and 5 minutes later, the stitches were all out. He answered all my questions about scarring and really put me at ease. Dr. Burkett was a GREAT plastic surgeon. You can tell he's done this for a long time because of his demeanor. He definitely knows what he's talking about and is very knowledgeable in his field. I thank God the hospital called him and not somebody else to come and work on my son. Thank you Dr. Burkett!!!

They are all about the patient and only the patient, so this is to say something if they can deal with a hyper goofball like me - I think they exhale when I leave because I love happiness and positive energy and I overflow these lovely people each time they have seen me. Completely treat you like family and I once told Dolores please don't let this practice ever loose that feeling - it's a true feeling of care for you as a person and they truly connect with you personally. I did my research on Dr. Goggin - where he came from, where he trained, his old reviews from Cali (really Cali - thank god you came home to Texas). Back to Dr. Goggin - he explains everything in detail so much so that I never have a question while visiting with them, but always have a question after I get back to my own clinic. With that said they never hesitate to answer via text, phone or in person. So I had Dr. Goggin do my Lifted and Gifted Girls - took 2 pain pills after the procedure - currently 3 weeks out - just visited the sweet people of Westside Plastic Surgery. The evening after my surgery Dr. Goggin and Dolores were ready to come to my home and check on me - Yes you heard correctly an actual doctor who cares so much he would drive out to the country to visit a patient to ensure they feel ok and if they need anything - Can you say above and beyond. I went in the day after my surgery - and met with the same happy faces even on a Saturday - I have seen him a few times since then and I can say nothing but happy words regarding him and his practice. Very satisfied with everything - can not understand or believe how anyone could something bad to say - they are all truly gems. PS: My only thought is -I should have went Larger - lol - just kidding Dr. Goggin will always keep you focused on what will fit your frame best. I thank you all for everything Disclaimer: Don't get your feelings hurt people of Cali - I used to live there as well - so keep your chin up.

Dr Ethridge went to bat against my insurance company to make sure that my procedure was viewed as reconstructive work and not an elective cosmetic surgery. I know for a fact that he called the medical director himself and got the procedure approved. While my procedure was reconstructive, he made sure that the aesthetics were addressed. I mean if you can avoid ugly scars you should right? Since the surgery he has been readily available when I have questions or concerns about my recovery. I can't recommend Dr Ethridge more wholeheartedly as a great doctor and a great person!

I'm rewriting my previous review so that if you're considering Dr. E, you really get how great he is. I'm a PTA mom, not a Vegas stripper, so I really don't need to look like a centerfold, I just wanted to restore the shape and volume of my breasts to what they were like before I had my son (because swimsuits). I did a lot of research and found a nationally acclaimed plastic surgeon in Dallas, who I visited first. He said I needed to have a lift done first, then after a year of healing, come back for implants. The invasiveness and cost of the procedure ($13k just for the lift) made me feel like it really wasn't THAT important. Then I met Dr. Ethridge... He examined me and told me that a lift was not at all necessary, and that higher placed implants would require much less recovery and give me the results I was looking for. He and his staff are all very personable and I felt like he had my best interest in mind. I'm kind of a freak about worrying that anything that can go wrong absolutely will, but I felt very comfortable and trusted him (there's a reason he's been voted Fort Worth's best for so many years). Not to mention his pricing was very reasonable. Certainly not the cheapest I've heard, but honestly, don't go to the cheapest plastic surgeon you can find. I was nervous about the size of implant he said he was going to use, because I really didn't want to look like I had bolt ons. He actually used a larger size than we had discussed and it was the right call. It's been over a year and they look and feel completely natural, and my scars are barely visible. Even though rather large implants were used and my boobs look freaking amazing now, when I'm dressed they are not visually that much bigger than they were before, which is exactly what I wanted. I won't deny that I've had them done, but I really didn't want anyone to know, especially my family (ok, my ultra conservative and super judgey mom). She would definitely give me an earful about it if she knew or at least make some passive aggressive comments if she suspected, but she hasn't noticed. His staff is fantastic, he is knowledgeable, and he is great with follow up care. He schedules several post op visits to monitor your healing and how you're feeling about the results. As with any surgery, everyone is different and you should research the risks, but I wouldn't let anyone else touch me.
