We are so grateful to have found and be a part of the MAOD community!…read more Where to begin with my review- I'll start from the beginning, after touring several pre-schools in the area, my husband and I were convinced MAOD would be the best choice for our daughter. From the very beginning when inquiring about information on enrollment and space we were always greeted courteously and warmly by the school's administrator, Veronica. Setting up our initial tour of the school was easy and we appreciated that we got a tour from one of the teachers who would be working with our 4 year old, so it was nice getting to know her a bit and asking her questions. During the tour, it was great being able to see all aspects of the school not just the areas assigned to their pre-k students but also where the infant area is, the kitchen where lunches/snacks are prepped the restrooms, playground, classrooms- everything! We also had the opportunity to ask questions about the schools teaching methods, curriculum, and experience of the teachers with Montessori so upon all of this, my husband and I made the decision to enroll our little one at MAOD. After 5-6 months of enrollment, we really are very satisfied in having brought our daughter here. It wasn't a smooth transition, there were days/weeks with lots of tears at drop off, but her teachers were patient and flexible with her needs, and I am happy to say she is doing great now. We love that the classes are small and there are two teachers per pre-k class. As parents we get a monthly newsletter with what's to come for the month and I always look forward to seeing her interpretations of different artists for "artist of the month" and hearing from her what she learned in school everyday. Most of the teachers are bilingual so it was a huge plus for us as our daughter is primarily a Spanish speaker which brings me to my next huge plus- in a matter of just a few months her English has improved significantly! We are amazed at how much English she speaks now compared to when she started. One of the other big pluses about MAOD is their incorporation of Montessori principles and we always love seeing when the kids are learning by doing. Her teachers, Ms. Patty and Ms. Sinttia are truly wonderful! They both have their special way of connecting and nurturing each student based on their needs, we truly appreciated how they each adapted to our daughter's needs as she transitioned into school full time. My daughter loves them both and won't stop talking about them at home. The app the school uses to communicate with parents is great too, I love that teachers update with pictures and important announcements consistently. Overall, we would definitely recommend MAOD to anyone looking to enroll their child in a ECE program. So much so that we will definitely be bringing our little one here when they are old enough to enroll in the future. I hope this review will encourage other potential families to check out MAOD, as we believe that it is a truly nurturing and caring environment for little ones as they begin their early childhood education. Thank you, Ms Veronica, Ms. Patty, Ms. Sinttia, and all the teachers and staff who have made this experience wonderful!

I was a little nervous about the transition at first, but the teachers are so kind and caring that it quickly put me at ease. My daughter had been struggling with her speech very early on, and since moving into this next age group she has continued to blossom even more. All of the teachers genuinely care, you can truly feel it, and it shows in the kids. Even though she is still new to the school setting, her transition into the new class was very smooth. Ms. Ale also incorporates home projects, which I really appreciate. As busy parents, it's a nice reminder to pause and spend quality one-on-one time with our little ones, nurturing their creativity and helping them grow. We've really enjoyed the first two projects and I'm grateful for the opportunity to slow down and focus on that special time together.

Dear fellow parents…read more Please do not put your kids in this school even though they advertise this school as a Montessori school but they are not Montessori school. I see so many 5 stars reviews on this school but they are fake, this school is actually miserable. They have all preschool,pre-k,and kindergarten all in one room and it's crazy in there. The teachers are all rude and disrespectful like these people don't even know how to teach kids. In the morning they seem all nice but when your kids enter they all shiver because they don't know what's going to come to them that day. Every time my kids come out they always tell me that there day was horrible because the staff are mean. That also they tell me that there lunch was bad. So when I checked their lunch menu I saw cup"o " noodles, bean and cheese burrito, and chicken taco. I was thinking what do these people feed all the kids. I got really mad I was ready to change my kids to a different school. So parents please don't put your kids in this school the staff don't care about teaching your kids they only want your money.

Mrs. Valerie has tons of experience with preschool kiddos, they are always doing fun crafts and outdoor/play activities. And on top of that, she has a very organized and impressive curriculum, so this is not "just a daycare". My daughter loves that she gets to dance, do yoga, eat yummy pasta and play with her friends every week! And as a parent, of course the number one concern is safety, and I feel truly blessed that I know she is in good hands and that she is 100% safe with Mrs. Valerie. I am also thankful for Mrs. Valerie's support and special attention as my daughter transitioned out of pull ups and began learning English (we speak a different language at home). We recently went on a two week vacation (that was filled with beach and pool days, everyday!) and she asked several times when she goes back to Mrs. Valerie, so she definitely is doing everything right at Schoolhouse! Mrs. Valerie is a very supportive and caring teacher, and I highly recommend her.

Her speech got better and she was able to communicate more. She had a better pallet and loved eating more fruits and veggies. Her nap time was a breeze when she was home. It was just the cutest thing picking her up and her being so excited to show me that her teacher did her hair. I work hectic hours and sometimes my daughter's hair didn't get the attention it needed. I'd pick her up to see my daughter in the cutest hairstyles and it just showed how much these teachers and staff cared about the kids. I just absolutely adored this place and am quite sad she won't be attending anymore. Off to Kindergarten she goes but I can also say how easy the transition was because of Creative Beginnings. She was so excited for Kindergarten and it's been such an easy drop off. I love how much more independent she's been. Liane the director was just so sweet and I know my little girl is going to miss them all.

Is definitely scary to have someone else watch your child while you work. But this school's definitely give you a sense of relief when leaving your child in someone else's care. Definitely recommend this school to anyone who is looking for child care or a preschool program

My daughter was playing and even felt comfortable letting Mrs Alexis hold her. She didn't rush us through the tour and answered every question we had. This school goes above and beyond to provide appropriate, individualized care for every child. They offer every opportunity for children to receive high quality learning experiences and diverse cultures. Their teachers are also incredibly knowledgable about child development which is surprisingly rare among preschools. My son has been attending since early 2022, and he has grown in so many ways! We are a primarily English and Vietnamese speaking home, so it has been really cool to watch him also learn and utilize Spanish on a regular basis due to his education at BESA. He also has a strong desire to learn to read, and his gross motor skills have come such a long way because of the daily opportunities he gets to run outside and play with peers! He also used to be a very picky eater, but since attending BESA he has begun to expand his palate and will try just about anything. He has also cultivated a love and appreciation for animals and nature itself, I believe due to his time in and around the school garden and its bunnies. During apple season, he would come home almost every day with an apple from the tree in their play yard. Green apples are now his absolute favorite fruit! BESA does accept subsidized care which has been a godsend. I thought because I could not afford preschool on my own, my son's educational opportunities would be limited. Not only has my son learned and grown so much (showing off the yoga, Spanish, math, and letters he learns daily), but BESA has also championed ME as a mom and human being! Their support has encouraged and allowed me to return to school and work which has given our family the chance it deserves to grow as a whole. Finally (though I could go on and on), I am grateful for their support of my family's unique parenting experience. My son's dad lives out of state, and we include bonus mama in our parenting decisions. BESA has gone above and beyond to make all three of us feel like equal partners in our son's education and development. They have been responsive and supportive each time we hit a behavioral challenge with our son, and they have been great with ensuring we are all involved and informed with their next steps as well as genuinely asking how they can support practices we already have at home. BESA really does intentionally hit all the parts of their name. High quality bilingual education, appreciation and cultivation of environmental science, intentional incorporation of all the arts (dance, music, visual, etc), which have supported academic development and absolute thriving socioemotional growth. Grateful to BESA in so many ways. If you're considering attending or getting on the waitlist, do NOT wait. Best early education decision I could have made for our family was attending BESA!

He started attending Nido when he was around 9 months old and is building so many life skills such as independence (eating with a spoon or fork, drinking from a cup without even spilling, listening and doing simple commands like putting something away, picking something up, closing the door, etc.) I also noticed his concentration when he's playing with things at home or when we're at the dining table. I could go on and on about the things I notice him doing since starting at Nido. My son loves going to school each day and he adores his Montessori guide, Ms. Maria. She is very attentive and I appreciate that she really observes each child. She communicates well and her school is a true Montessori environment. She is always available whenever we have any questions. I definitely learn so much from her as I try to incorporate more of the Montessori philosophy at home and as a parent. She always emphasizes how she's there to work together with the parents for the child to benefit the most. We wished we could've start our first child with the Montessori philosophy earlier on because I can see how beneficial it is in life. I don't feel like I drop off my son to a "daycare".
