Wonderful kids doctor! He is hands down the best in the county…read more Took our kids for several years to a doctor in Cornwall until we wondered why our kids were always sick. That's when we switched by recommendation to Dr. Lau who at the time admitted my 2 yr old to the hospital but ever since we began visiting Dr. Lau my kids rarely if ever get sick anymore. Dr. Lau is simply amazing! You have to visit to believe but he knows his stuff and makes the correct recommendations for treatment. Oh and my 2 yr old loves him. She hates doctors but will let this doctor do whatever he wants, even getting an injection.

Have to give you some background information that led up to Dr. Lau's successful visit…read more Was seeing several different pediatricians and specialists on a newborn situation. It seemed quite disappointing that each practice/person had similar feedback but no actual solutions. Some did not want to take my case only because it was not life threatening or what they considered as significant. So most of the times, I would get the brush off to not worry and call it a day... and as a parent, it is worrisome no matter the scale of the situation. On top of that, it was getting quite expensive to see various doctors. After months of frustration, I finally went to Dr. Lau in hopes for additional advice and recommendations. He was originally referred by a friend and I was expecting the same old feedback and whatnot. Plus he was not in my area so it was really not in the plans at all. To my surprise, I was SOOO GLAD we spoke; stars have a way of aligning themselves sometimes. It was a true blessing - he not only provided a different route to take, but he was so detailed with a lot of the topics that included explanations in 'easy-to-comprehend' terminology. It was impressive to hear of a medical professional being patient and giving in that way (especially these days, a lot of medical folks are trying to just hurry you out of the office, make a quick insurance buck and move on. Plus, they get all sarcastic because of how we try to look up stuff on Google, etc) . The real home run was his overall compassion in trying to be as detailed as possible, the time he took to provide the information and more importantly, they were REAL solutions. He added statistics/studies (yay for that) to back up his reasonings and he even gave samples to try out. Anyways, that just TOOK one conversation/one visit (even though it was lengthy, it was worth it). Furthermore, the specialists we were seeing had asked us to come back for follow-up visits (oh those darn co-pays were adding up!). At this time, all the other visits have ceased to but one - which is still good, by comparison. Results have been overall positive and coming along great...so very thankful for that. Moreover, in expressing gratitude towards him, I followed up with a quick note to tell him that things have improved. It was just an acknowledgment to him to keep up the good and compassionate work that he has been doing. Luckily I do not have to go back (and he was not even advocating it either) because I am not in the area anyways. Just want to put it out there to those who may feel hopeless, to just be optimistic and that something will always come up for the better. So amazing for us that it was Dr. Lau that we had encountered!

I'm not a huge fan of urgent care clinics because it just feels like a no-frills medical…read moreexperience. My kid was sick and since our primary doctor was not able to physically provide an exam he suggested this urgent care clinic as an alternative to him examining my kid. My poor kid was suffering from high fever and after the doctor performed the examination it was simply suggested we continue fever medicine and follow up with primary doctor if fever continues. Since there was no evidence of strep or ear infection it felt like there was nothing else that could be done. If my girlfriend didn't tell me that there was an actual "test" for the flu I would have left this place frustrated that my kid was going home still suffering from an unexplained illness. Before leaving I inquired about this "flu test" that was never suggested or recommended to me and the doctor said, "Why yes that test exists and we can give it if you'd like?" Uh! You think?? So had I not suggested the flu test my child would have just been sent off...bon-voyage! My interaction with the staff was great, nobody was rude and everyone was professional. My frustration is the either incompetence OR laziness of the doctor not suggesting or offering the flu test. In the end my kid was diagnosed with the full blown flu because the flu test came back positive. So now we knew exactly why my kid was suffering with the constant high fever the 24hrs prior. Had the doctor diagnosed the obvious and done the flu test I would have been completely satisfied with my visit to this facility. Unfortunately I left feeling that the doctor was being lazy considering every friend and family kept telling me, "Your kid probably has the flu" which I'd think would be the first thing the doctor tests for in the absence of throat or eat infection. Ugh!

In my personal experience, the…read morereceptionist is extremely unwelcoming--every phone call feels like an inconvenience to them. The tone is often irritated or short, which makes even simple scheduling questions feel uncomfortable. Please work on the front office staff and the people who answer the phone. There are PLENTY of people who would be happy to work at their capacity. I've also found that the bedside manner of the two doctors I've seen--Dr. Goldstein and Dr. Rosmarin--is severely lacking. Again, speaking only from my own interactions, they come across as unsympathetic and dismissive. Many times, it has even felt like I was being spoken to in a scolding or condescending way rather than being treated as a patient needing care. The remaining doctors are excellent. I dread to take my child knowing that one of the two are serving sick appointments. Yes, I could go else where but the remaining group is what has kept us there. I'm willing to wait to see any of them for a visit.

She asked about our family our goals, our concerns - offered valuable insight and great advice. Bottom line she gave off very good vibes. If everyone at Monroe pediatrics is like Dr. Jamie then we recommend them highly!!

You are in the best hands possible at Valley Pediatrics…read more Drs. Juan, Rasheed, and Jones are phenomenal practitioners and caring people. The nurses and administrative staff are fabulous and keep that small office/individual personal attention feel for the patients. The care used when selecting medical and administrative staff is superb. I was a patient in the practice Dr. Juan joined when he came to Greenwich. When he opened Valley Pediatrics of Greenwich, we followed him for my son, now 15yo. As a healthcare provider myself, so long as the child is conscious, breathing and not bleeding, I can handle pretty much anything. My husband, not so much, yet we are both ALWAYS at ease and feel confident that our child is getting the best care possible. We have had a few scares, most recently a serious snowboarding accident which rattled even me when my son, on the drive home, started making comments without a lick of sense and exhibiting possible trauma to his brain. With a rapid return call from Dr. Rasheed, a rough assessment of the situation and discussion of options for care; we set a plan in motion. A year later we have happy and almost completely recovered 15yo. Despite the cognitive effects and noise concerns affiliated with a severe concussion, he not only joined the HS Marching Band but changed instruments with little difficulty and traveled with the band to perform in the Citrus and Disney New Years Parade. All of this would not have been possible without the care, guidance and support of the entire team at Valley Pediatrics.

I wouldn't have hired this person as a babysitter much less as a doctor.
