First, the male doctor who excised my cyst from my left jawline permanently BOTCHED my face, I also paid like $1,000 for that. So thank you Goodman, for charging me to butcher my face. I have had an issue now for a year, where cysts pop up all over my body and Amy couldn't figure it out, the PA Macy wouldn't refill my script after swabbing it, and sending in Amoxocillin since it was indeed bacterial, and today the infection has spread all over. I have moved between states, and she could've easily refilled it and I wouldn't be covered in cysts right now. The phone systems have gotten worse, and worse, and worse. I used to be able to get an appointment same day, someone on the phone within 2-3 rings RINGS (NOT BUTTON PRESSES AND HOLD TIMES). They really need to just ditch that stupid phone system, it's trash and keeps the customer from ever getting any help or anybody on the line. THANK YOU GOODMAN. Dr Louie at the East Cobb Location, is the only dermatologist that has value at these practices. And has been surgically accurate and not caused any scarring. No one else though unfortunately.

The office is conveniently located in East Cobb and easy to find. Parking is also accessible. I was greeted promptly and taken care of as soon as I arrived. I had a bit of a wait but once I was taken to the room I saw why. Dr. Louis offers TOP TIER service! She takes her time, listens, provides detailed information and answers ALL questions! I felt so well taken care of and am hopeful that the recommendations will resolve my issues. Either way - and unlike the previous dermatologist I saw - she scheduled a follow up so we can check in. 10/10!!!

So if you go thinking you'll get 100% coverage from your insurance - think again. I was surprised to pay almost $200 for a "diagnosis" visit (vs preventative) for my screening - I got this explanation from their Billing dept. Then I tried calling the office to recommend they mention to patients they don't code as preventative screening so patients aren't surprised at their bill - I left a message and no one ever called me back :( Other that that, I've been happy with them. My luck with dermatologists hasn't been so great. They usually spend literally two seconds on your skin, give you a prescription and leave. Dr. Hill was nothing like that. She came in, took a look at my face and then we started talking. We chatted for at least 10-15 minutes, which you know is a long time for any doctor, lol. She gave me her suggestions but still let me pick my own regimen. She was so informative and I could tell she genuinely wanted to help me get my acne under control. I really appreciated that. I'm excited to try this new regimen and see her in six weeks. The dermatologist assistants was also really great and I had a good time talking to her even though she picked on my for using too much crap on my face, lol. Only bad part is her office doesn't take all insurance. So call before you go. She didn't take my insurance but her reviews were so good that I had to give her a try and I'm so glad I did. What started out as a good experience with this business has now turned into one that has left a…read morebad taste in my mouth! I had a follow up visit from the prior year after being diagnosed with alopecia and given products for my condition. The PA and I discussed refilling the prescription for the scalp serum Oxopidaxiaqup but I hadn't planned on purchasing it since I still had half a bottle at home. However, my intentions for this appointment was to purchase the growth serum since I was definitely out. Upon check out I told the front desk person Linda that I wanted the growth serum and thought that's what I paid for and was getting. I asked her to make sure "that's the growth serum right?" And she confirmed that it was. I did not check it there or once I got home because why would I if I asked you twice? However, I used the serum once before my vacation thinking that it was the growth serum. When I cam back from vacation and removed the sew in, I wanted to start back using what I thought was the growth serum, but when I really looked at the bottle, I said hmm this looks different. I then called and spoke with the person at the front Linda I think and explained the situation. She informed me that I was given the scalp serum and that they could not return the serum because of the time passed and because it was used. Ok got it but if you would have given me what I asked for then there would've been no need to return it. She then goes on about how the PA put in the order for me to fill the scalp serum which was irrelevant since I had no intentions of purchasing the scalp serum and was emphatically clear about purchasing the growth serum. I even offered to buy the growth serum and we could split the cost especially since it was Socah Center's fault for giving me what they wanted me to have instead of what I asked for. She would not budge so I ask to speak with Lisa and explained everything again. Lisa even said that the person at the front needs to be trained to verify what's being purchased. She said that she would speak with someone else and call me back the next day but didn't. A week passed so I called and ended up speaking with Walter Dennis. He listened and was on board with a resolution even saying that they would just send me the serum at no cost and he would call me the next day to confirm. Well the next day came and went and so has 4 weeks. Every time I call, I get routed to his voicemail. This is ridiculous and I'm very upset at how this company conducts it's business. Sometimes you do things out of good will because it's the right thing to do. But to not even follow up or even stick to your word is appalling and speaks volumes to your level of integrity! Yes, I can purchase the growth serum no problem, but it's the principle and the fact that the person at the front messed up at my expense.

He doesn't waste time and gets straight to the point! I liked him and recommended my Dad whose in his early 70's. He also likes him and that is good coming from a seasoned generation set in their ways! I recommend Dr. Chappelle without hesitation. Not sure if he's related to the comedian or not, but he has a funny bone. Go see him for all your dermatological needs.

I've had about four visits including one in Buckhead. Midtown traffic is always hectic but I…read moreappreciate the validated parking in the deck next door. Coveted spots in front are also free. Small, comfortable lobby, friendly, polite front desk staff and free WiFi. My PA is nice enough and the visits are normally quick. My real concern is they don't have video visits and communication is lacking. When there is an issue (and there have been plenty), you call and speak to a customer service agent who re-routes your message to the office. Then someone who is not your provider will communicate via message portal which leads to unnecessary time and expense. Specifically, I was told to stop taking my prescription after I felt better. Then my symptoms resumed. There's one phone number for all locations, you can't call directly. I called, the agent called the office and a different person (not my provider) sent me a message via the phone portal. That person gave me a refill which I filled ($25) but I had questions so I was told to come in. $50 co-pay and time off work later, I was given a completely different prescription. Unfortunately, it was for 30 days ($10) instead of 90 days ($25) which required more trips to the pharmacy and added expense. I'd have saved $75 with Kaiser with a free follow up video visit with my dermatologist. Speaking directly to a provider = questions answered and the correct prescription the first time. Kaiser also had 90 day refills sent via free mail order. At Dermatology Affiliates they don't have video visits (they blame insurance) and you can't speak directly to your provider. It's like a game of telephone which results in multiple contacts, time off work and unnecessary expense. Also, they don't have a numbing agent for painful injections. They give you a small ice pack which doesn't do the job. In short, free parking and WiFi and decent service is fine. But if I had the time to find a dermatologist with free video visits, good communication and positive reviews, I'd happily switch. Dermatology Affiliates really makes me miss Kaiser.

Not that Peachtree Dermatology was bad; I had several good experiences with different providers there. I switched because: (1) I wanted a dermatologist closer to home and (2) one of Peachtree Dermatology's MDs left a bad taste in my mouth because of her arrogance and condescension. Parking is free at Dermatology Affiliates Midtown (at least, for now). I had to pay to park at Peachtree Dermatology. I didn't mind paying for parking all those years; it's just nice when there's free parking. Dermatology Affiliates is located on street level of the Cottonwood Westside apartment building, across the street from The Interlock and catty-corner from Westside Provisions District. Park in the building's garage - the entrance is right next to Dermatology Affiliates' storefront on 14th St NW. Let the front desk staff know so they can help you validate parking. Remember your license plate number. When Googling for a new dermatology practice to go to, it came down to Dermatology Affiliates Midtown and Atlanta Dermatology & Aesthetics in Atlantic Station. I chose Dermatology Affiliates because: (1) I liked that they had a team of physicians and PAs instead of what appeared to be just one physician at Atlanta Dermatology & Aesthetics, (2) Yelp reviews, and (3) Atlanta Dermatology & Aesthetics' website was down. Overall, I got a better feeling about Dermatology Affiliates. It was really easy for me to book my first appointment online with Katherine (Katie) Quinley, PA-C (Physician Assistant-Certified). I chose her because she graduated from the Wake Forest PA Program (my dad did his residency at Wake, my mom went there for undergrad, and I grew up in the area as a Wake fan -- yeah, no "real" reason). Katie also had plenty of appointments available. I've seen Katie for three issues: (1) acne, (2) a scar on my leg, and (3) atopic dermatitis, a.k.a. eczema. Katie prescribed various drugs and got me on various routines, which have helped all three issues. For acne, I continued the use of adapalene / Differin 0.1% gel, which Peachtree Dermatology started me on many years ago, and Katie added sulfacetamide sodium / Klaron 10% lotion to my daily routine. For the scar on my leg, I was prescribed hydroquinone 4% cream. For eczema, I was prescribed triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% cream. Several years ago, Peachtree Dermatology prescribed triamcinolone acetonide 0.1%, but it was the ointment version, not the cream. Katie recommended Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream, available at Sephora, to help moisturize my face. My acne and eczema are under control and resolved again. The scar, which I sustained from storming Georgia Tech's basketball court at McCamish Pavilion on January 30, 2024, will take much longer - I'm guessing years - to show significant visual improvement. In my last patient handout, it said: "Explained to patient that after improving the brown pigmentation, we can use the V-Beam to target any leftover redness which will also improve its appearance." Katie told me Vbeam is a laser treatment available at Dermatology Affiliates' Buckhead location. (Dermatology Affiliates has three locations: Midtown, Buckhead, East Cobb.) Per Vbeam's manufacturer, Candela: "The Vbeam pulsed dye laser (PDL) has been proven time and again for the successful treatment of a wide array of vascular, pigmented, and certain non-pigmented lesions, with a low incidence of side effects." https://candelamedical.com/patient/brands/vbeam/ The front desk staff at Dermatology Affiliates Midtown have been polite and efficient and Katie's medical assistants, Savannah Herring and Aaliyah Mantock, have been great as well. I was seen on time at both appointments, my prescriptions were sent promptly to my preferred pharmacy, and Katie and the rest of the staff answered all my questions. I've found Dermatology Affiliates' website patient portal to be helpful. My only gripe is it's not configured to allow me to send a message to anyone at the practice. For example, I use MyChart to message with other providers. It's easier and more convenient than calling and leaving/receiving voicemail. Since hydroquinone isn't covered under my insurance plan, I called the office to let them know (as Katie told me to do) and left a voicemail. Later, I received a text with a link to Klara, which is an online platform for providers to securely message with patients. Using Klara, I messaged with Aaliyah, who sent me a GoodRx coupon that reduced the price of my tube of hydroquinone from well over $100 to only $27.04. I appreciated that. So, I think I have to use Klara to message with this office instead of through Dermatology Affiliates' website patient portal (QualDerm Partners ModMed / Modernizing Medicine). My insurance claimed this was not billed correctly under the annual, but as elective testing. After months of trying to connect my insurance provider UHS to this office I finally called Gregg the billing manager. Gregg was very nice and advised there want much he could do, but hed see if the amount could be decreased and that this would not go to collections. He was true to his word and decreased to Three hundred and Thirty one dollars(again for a checkup). Once I tried to pay It had already been sent to collections, so I ended uo having to pay more and speak to a rude billing associate. STAY AWAY!!!!!!
