Tried this place for the first time today, 4/18/23. Me and my husband both ordered 2 scoops in a cup. I got banana crème pie and cookies and cream. My husband got bubble gum and mint chip. My two flavors were creamy and delicious. The banana crème pie flavor was my favorite. My husband said that both his flavors were great. The bubblegum was pink and not blue as it normally is other places. Two scoops each cost us a little over $11 dollars. I felt the scoops were on the smaller side for the price. One of the employees told us that they make everything in house including their boba. You can tell that they use real cream in their ice creams. The shop itself was lack luster and hopefully still a work in progress. They have a couple cute ice cream themed tables, but their counter looks janky with their white plywood makeshift cover. Hopefully, this will be gone and they will get a nicer looking counter. All employees were nice and overall it was a good experience. This shop is a little out of my way, but if I was in the area again wanting ice cream I would stop by. read more

We had great customer service here. They encouraged us to try all the flavors so we made sure we got exactly what we wanted. All their ice cream is home made too! The flavors were impeccable. My family and I have been to this creamery several times now and it does not disappoint! The owner and workers there are friendly and the ice cream is authentic and homemade! I consider myself an ice cream connoisseur so I always have high expectations for the taste and quality of ice cream! We have tried a variety of flavors, and all were creamy, flavorful and natural. The place is really clean and the kids love hanging out inside as there are fun ice cream themed tables and chairs! Yes, the price is a bit on the steep side but I mean, it has similar pricing to places like Baskin Robbins and really, the quality of the ice cream is exceptional, plus, I'm always for supporting small local businesses. So of course the price has to be a bit higher. With that said, we would all love generous scoops like Fenton's or Cold Stone, but if anything I would probably just recommend sizing up the scoops more to similar mom and pop places like John's Ice Cream. I can't remember how much the scoops are there, but I remember them being generous on the size for their price. But yes I recommend this spot to add for your ice cream fixes! read more

Came by to try out this new spot. The prices are decent and the customer service was also good. The person who helped us was friendly and helpful. The inside was clean and they had fun ice cream themed chairs and tables. Unfortunately, they did mess up my earl grey milk tea and instead of egg pudding they added what tasted like sour mango so my drink was pretty much ruined .. I had already left by the time I noticed and ended up just separating what i could. The drink itself was fine if it didn't have that issue. Their smoothies are definitely something to try out. It is very smooth and not too sweet! We got a mix of lychee, mango & peach which ended up tasting great. I will plan to come back again in the future to try their variety of ice cream! More than just a creamery! They make all their ice creams in house but also offer fresh orange juice, smoothies, freezes (like Italian ice) and boba with milk tea or fruit teas! I recently tried their mango green tea with boba. Fruit tea was good but a tad bit too sweet so next time I'll adjust the sweetness. The boba was okay, could be softer. She automatically jumped to it's because of this specific type of culture. What does that have to do with anything. I'm simply just asking . I live up the street and walk here often. Every time I come in, the people behind the counter are extraordinarily warm and friendly. The ice cream is excellent (especially in a shake), but the tea they use for their boba drinks is particularly good: it's good quality tea and brewed fresh for each customer, and using that base makes the beverages pop. I was very excited for this place to open . So of course I bought some ice cream as soon as they did. Unfortunately it wasn't great . We've tried : mint chip - which tasted odd .. more like black licorice. It was my daughters and honestly I don't trust her taste buds so I tried it myself and yeah.. black licorice flavor going on.. If you haven't already tried it, I highly recommend going to Yummy Creamery in Antioch (next door to Cocina Medina). I just saw that they finally opened and went to try it with my husband. This is their second week! All of the ice cream is homemade, and they have a ton of flavors to choose from. Super reasonably priced and awesome service! After Mother's Day we went here on a whim because we wanted to try something different than the ice cream places that we were used to. Yummy Creamery literally has some of the best quality ice cream you can get anywhere. The ice cream is rich & dense and everything is homemade. The owners are EXTREMELY sweet & constantly creating new ice cream flavors for customers to try. My personal favorite is the dulce de leche! Today was my very first visit @ Yummy Creamery approximately 2 blocks from house. Weather was pretty warm in the 90's. I drove, then walked in and a mature woman walked over to the counter to assist me. She was very cheerful and talkative, I ordered a banana split with no chocolate. She was very accommodating and transparent on what she was preparing for me. Cute small whimsical, empty store. The place and staff were friendly. She asked if I wanted 2 or 3 scoops of ice cream. I said 2 scoops only, vanilla and pistachio. She tried to up sell me, to buy for just a dollar more, 3 scoops. I said 2 scoops only please. Long story short, I got the banana split to go, immediately went home, ice cream was melted, no hard ice cream at all. She used clear plastic container for a "To Go" banana split, the reason why it melted so fast! Packaging of ice cream " to go " should be in hard card paper containers or styrofoam.The scoop of pistachio ice cream was more like green food coloring ice cream with peanuts and pistachios. The inability to see the barrels or containers of ice cream behind the counter is suspicious and somewhat alarming. Not at all what I am used to at other ice cream shops ( Baskin Robbins or John's Ice Cream ), you are able to see the fresh or old ice cream.With my spoon I cut the banana into small bite size pieces, but still found what to me looked like a long piece of string. I stopped eating the banana split and immediately took it back to the creamery. I expressed that I was not happy with the banana split, showed her the string and it turned out to be a string from the banana?? The color of the pistachio ice cream could not be explained away. The posted picture is different from what they actually served. The taste was off, perhaps it's the food coloring?? I told her I was not happy with it and she said " Sorry about that" and told me to throw it away in the trash can by the door and I exited. No compensation or refund offered. I didn't ask for a refund but was stunned on how she wouldn't fix the problem of a "first time customer" who is unsatisfied. She offered nothing, no 5 or 10% "discount" on your next purchase, no "coupon" towards your next visit and definitely no "refund". Absolutely no attempt at a positive incentive to make the customer happy and come back. Although they are close to home and she was nice, the professional and customer service side is lacking. I'm happy at "John's Ice Cream" their Pistachio ice cream is not a crazy dark green. It's fresh and the flavor of pistachios comes through from the nuts, not the food coloring or flavoring. read more
