Friendly and helpful staff. Pontoon and fishing boats, and padddleboard rentals are available. We rented a pontoon boat but the one we were given wasn't quite what was described to us. It was pretty beat up and old. They were apologetic and offered us a refund instead of taking it out, but we did anyway and made the most of it. We have a 5th wheel so don't need lots of amenities, but there is only one shower in each bathroom at the main store area. It's new and clean, but there is only one. No laundry either. And no trash pickup at the pad sites, so bring lots of large trash bags and plan to carry it to the dumpster each day. The store carries lots of necessities for camper upkeep but minimal food, beverage and sundries. Overall a good experience.

The staff at the venue were very accommodating and stayed a longer than anticipated to make sure everything went smoothly. Staff were very friendly. Facilities were clean and spacious. Restrooms were clean and spacious enough for our athletes to change in. There's an abundance of parking spaces available. This will be our first spot to consider for future events. We had visited the site on Wednesday afternoon to check it out and agree on a price for three trailers; we reached a verbal agreement at that time. When we called this afternoon--while already en route with our three RVs--he changed the agreed-upon price without explanation. When we asked about the price, he told us that if it didn't suit us, we should find another RV park, and then he hung up on us. We were treated very poorly as customers. I do not recommend this place; honestly, if they aren't polite to customers, what kind of service can one expect? Thank you, and have a nice day.

Our group has been wanting to ride GS for awhile now. So I'll start with the good stuff. The trails…read morewere good, we enjoyed seeing new stuff. Let's get to why my group and I will not be returning to GS. The camp sites are completely backwards. The electricity is too close to the water hook up. We all know water and electricity don't mix ever Although having sewer was great, it isn't installed very well. They do have a store but no one actually mans it. You have to go find someone to let you in. It's the middle of August in Texas, and they have no ice at all to purchase. We had to leave to get our entire group ice. At $130 for the weekend I'd think we could have some ice. This was also an event weekend for them. I'm not going to mention the event due to them having nothing to do with the issues we had. There was not enough people there to actually say an event took place. I'm gonna move to the biggest problem with GS. The guy that runs it is extremely unprofessional and lacks the maturity of someone that needs to be running a business. Our group gets muddy that's the point right? While my husband and I were riding my radiator on our highlifter over heated (240) we take an electric power washer with us to take car of issues like that. GS does have a place to wash your rig but is literally a low pressure water hose fed through a cinder block. They wasn't going to do the trick so we used our resources to get our rig cooled down and cleaned out. This guy came over to us and did tell us there was a rule, we had to use the hose they provide. He also came over with 3 loose dogs. I told him we had to be towed in and we needed to cool our rig down. I also told him I was afraid of dogs because I've been bit 3 times and once had to go to the hospital. I asked him about the rule regarding dogs needed to be leashed. He got angry and said his dogs weren't going to bite anyone. He left with the dogs. My husband was finishing up spraying out the radiator the guy returns and begins to yell at us. This guy grabs ahold of my husbands had and tries to physically remove the power washer from his hands. There was almost a physical altercation. Below are the pictures of the water produced by my power washer, compared to the water produced by my a/c on the ground. I completely understand the rules, and realize there was a rule broken. However, if you physically attempted to remove something from another persons hands that can and probably will be considered an aggressive act. I also want to mention the couple set up next to us got stuck in the mud. They asked them for help, and they refused. The excuse given, their tractor was broken down. They clearly had other means to help, but it was completely fine not to help them. Someone from our group did go out and assist them. This place is extremely dusty. Most parks we've visited use water trucks to water down the common areas. Which brings me to my power washer, which actually helped use from kicking up the dust in our areas. We will not be returning. This group will stick to the parks that use a bit more professionalism. We wish them the best.

My fiancé and I booked a hog hunting trip to celebrate our anniversary, and our expectations were far surpassed. Don't come to this ranch expecting foo-foo towels and a mint on the pillow. Put your big-boy pants on and prepare for a fantastic weekend full of rugged living and pure, unadulterated, action-packed fun. The ranch offers a variety of game to hunt, depending on what tickles your fancy. Meat hogs, trophy hogs, deer, coyote, duck.. the list goes on. One thing I would suggest doing for at least one of your nights, is to post-up in the open field on a cool night and look up at the unpolluted stars. Soak in the chatter from the surrounding wildlife and take a moment to decenter. City living will suck you in and before you know it, your mind is warped by corporate structure and frivolous amenities. Everything we envisioned that our trip would be, was not only exceeded, but complimented with true southern hospitality and kindness from Brandon and his awesome cohorts. These are the types of people you just don't come across very often anymore. We never felt like the next hunters in line - we were always treated with personal attention. Bar-none, I would recommend Wormy's Ranch to anyone in need of some R&R. You will leave the ranch stinky, with dirt under your fingernails, and the biggest sh*t-eating grin on your face. Appreciate this preserved gem and respect the land... Take only pictures, leave only footprints.
