I had a horrible experience at the yuba sutter fair today. My family and I decided to use the bumper car ride around 1130 pm, but one of my family members car wasn't working the whole time on the ride, and the worker didn't even notice when we tried to tell him, was distracted on his phone. Then, He refused to give us our tickets back because I guess we violated a rule by getting out of the car that he NEVER TOLD US ABOUT in the first place and he wasn't even paying attention to the ride. We didn't know that was a rule because he didn't do his job properly and tell us the rules or pay attention when my family members car wasn't working bc he was on his phone. But we calmly got off the ride when he told us to, and just asked if we could at least get our tickets back since the ride didn't work in the first place for us. He proceeded to get angry towards us, then he brought some random scary guy who was eating food, who didn't even show us a badge at all, to come back him up and yell at us. The man didn't listen to our side, yelled at my family (a majority who were minors) and got extremely aggressive towards my brother. I would never come back to this fair or recommend this fair to any of my family and friends ever again. Save your money for a safer fair, where there are more professional workers and where your family can feel safe. read more

A pretty crappy lil fairgrounds, but hey they DID have Sugar Ray play(how low of a low is that for them?) but the tradicional Mexican music the next day pulled in SUCH a bigger crowd, ha ha. But yeah the fair was blah, TOTALLY dead until the last day and then just BLAH. and a nighttime fair? I never understood their thinking on that one. lame read more

Going to the fair grounds in yuba sutter was the first time it was fun at the fair on 8 /1/19 rode some rides saw stuff but you cant see it all in one day i can tell you that. read more

Not my best camping experience. I'm familiar with push button call box type gate openers. I've never seen a barrel lock the size of a small peanut with teeny numbers to line up. And not to mention said lock was on a chain in pitch black. Other than being locked in and nearly missing a wedding on a Saturday afternoon the experience was okay. The only way we were able to get out of the lot was another camper was entering and a staff member came to let them in. We only were there the night before and night after the wedding. The site was very noisy as it is adjacent to a roadway frequented by very loud thumping bass playing car stereo systems and there is a large apartment complex with a pool and shrieking children right next door. If we need a place to spend a night or two in the future we will likely pay extra for the shady lot on the other side. I'd happily trade satellite tv reception for no screaming kids or low rider music. read more

Cute fair, not the best organizational skills when it comes to how security and the management work with vendors. First, set up expectations were absolutely bonkers... 12pm but the fair didn't start till 4:30. Then my boss is bothered by phone calls making it sound like I didn't show up, when I called the day before to get clarification on exactly why we needed to be there at 12. It wasn't a big deal, because I didn't really need to bring my car on site.. so 3 was fine.. When I get there, suddenly they don't have my paperwork and I can't set up... lol.... This wasn't that big of a deal, and I got over it all quickly....THEN.... The fair ended... SO... The people who were left in charge of the site during tear down prematurely locked the wrong gates and made it VERY difficult and near impossible for some vendors to pack up and leave. We were told nobody had keys to unlock gates and vendors were forced to walk half a mile to their cars at midnight and then were unable to get the cars close to their booths due to the chaos. THEN HERE COMES THE SAME SECURITY GUARD WHO SAID THAT NOBODY CAN OPEN THE GATE..... TO OPEN THE GATE FOR A LARGE VEHICLE. Financially, it was a decent show with a good turn out this year, but what I will remember most is the lack of disreguard helfullness of people running the fair. I hope this changes in the future. Women vendors please beware, you may be expected to walk in the dark long distances when all you want to do is go home, you may also witness why education is so very important and see what happens when people don't hit rock bottom and are working security at a county fair. read more

We have stayed at the rv campground twice now. Lovely trees to sit under and this time only 5 others parked here. Peaceful at night. Have 30 and 50 amp hookups but you do have to use the dump station, no problem for us. Will stay again if passing through. read more

RV camping here for the first time. The grounds are fine and it is easy to get in and out of in our 37 foot 5th wheel. Unfortunately there is some music event going on just 200 or so feet away. It is 9pm at night and doesn't appear to be ending any time soon. Be sure to ask what events are happening when you book. The event calendar on line only shows the daytime quilt show. Wish we were told about this loud event when we booked. read more

Stay Away! Can I give negative stars??? Normally I would give this three stars, 3.5 if they actually had WiFi which they don't. But the staff make this an absolute 100% avoid at all cost situation. Once you are finished getting wholly conflicting information from the various office staff, you then have to deal with the host, who is the grounds maintenance man. Very angry, hostile and threatening guy. Nobody needs this level of yelling. This guy is obviously very unhappy with his job and his workmates. Oh, and all the spaces are back-in regardless of what the website says. Pull-through at your own risk of being kicked out by the host! read more

The fairgrounds might be decent but just dont work for the security services unless you dont mind being screwed on your pay. The security company they have to secure the grounds is pretty loyal to them cause they might as well work for half price. They dont pay what the workers deserve a d they dont pay whats promised. Embezzelment is the word that comes to my mind read more

Came in at 3:00 on a Friday, a very nice man met us at the gate. (gate a little hard to find). Showed us our all grass site with electircal and water. Stayed two nights, walking distance from down town. Only three campers in the park. No noise even with the gem show going on in the park. We will be back. Employess all great. Thx Guys read more
