It was a great experience this past weekend to have engaged Eugene for a photoshoot. Not only is he a thorough professional and a awesome photographer, he is also calm, thoughtful and very easy to work with. I used Eugene for my engagement photos in SF. I purchased his affordable package through living social. The pictures came out horrible. He positioned us facing the sun and we were squinting in all our pictures. The day was amazing, beautiful blue sky, the background was flawless, but we came out horrible due to our facial expression. I was not able to use the pictures for our canvas that I wanted at the wedding. I'm sorry but I do not recommend his service. I learned its worth paying more for better work. read more

We found Eugene/YtpPhoto through a Living Social offer and had a great experience. He was flexible, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the process. Though he was tightly booked, he was willing to change days when it rained, so we could get shots outdoors, which we appreciated. During the photoshoot, he made suggestions, but was open to our ideas, too, so we were relaxed...and that led to some wonderful photos. We ordered digital versions and many prints for ourselves (to frame and have in our house) and for friends and family. This said, I hired him to be a photographer at my wedding last year and he also did the "Happy Moments" album a month prior to our wedding. He did a superb job. It took eight weeks to edit our photos,and to be honest I'm not sure what he edited. My husband took a few and edited them on a home program and they looked so much better. He gave us no instruction, took a ton of photos of us squinting in the sun, and honestly it seemed like his main focus was the children at our wedding,and not on us. I like all the pictures that caught a movement rather than a pose. We haven't even noticed Eugene was there, but the result was a great stack of pictures It was my personal request not to have too many posed pictures, but the ones that were made came out great. Eugene has a number of different packages, and the most impressive thing is, he's not trying to push any of it on you. His main concern is to get you good pictures, not try to sell you a $1,500 album. We bought a groupon for our sons newborn pics. He arrived on time but that was the only good thing. He had no idea or direction on what to do with our son. I had to come up with all the ideas and when i asked for his input he just shrugged and said if that's what you want. If I wanted someone to come and just take pics I could've asked anybody!! Recently Eugene did a photo session with our family. He came to the house with all his gear, took the time to let our baby acclimate to him, and then spent close to two hours shooting over a thousand pics. We could not believe the sheer amount of work he did. Then, just a few days later, the discs arrived in the mail. Eugene included two sets - lo-res for easy uploads and such, as well as the high-res, massive files in case we wanted to blow anything up to a wall mural ;-) While we are on the subject of wall murals - the pictures Eugene took certainly are excellent enough for such application. Have you ever tried shooting a 5-month old?! I don't know how he did it, but we now have incredible shots of just about every mood a baby's face can express. All caught in two hours. Without pestering or tricking the kid - completely candid. We sent the copies of the discs to all the grandmas, grandpas, aunties, and interested passerby. We recently used Eugene for our wedding on July 5th. We first met him through an amazon local deal in which his prices were extremely cheaper than most other wedding photographers (I don't know if this deal still exists, but for the great job he did, we felt like we were ripping him off). We met with Eugene at his home to meet him and see if he would be someone we would hope noticed our quirky personalities. It was a match upon our first meeting, although I do admit that for the price we paid for everything, I had low expectations. Eugene was very flexible with us when we decided where and when we wanted our engagement photos to be and after 30 minutes, you could tell that he seemed to be having as much fun as we were. Eugene turned around our engagement photos very quickly and was always prompt in returning emails or phone calls. He touched base with me a week before the wedding to put my mind at ease and also let me know when he was planning on arriving. I hired Eugene as my wedding photographer. His rates were affordable and from the work he showed me , I expected him to do a good job. He was 4 weeks late in delivering my pictures 4 WEEKS so i waited a total of 10 weeks as opposed to the 6 weeks he originally told me. At his point i expected fantastic photos since i had waited so long.. I was WRONG!. First of all He gave us no direction on how to pose or line up so everyone is everywhere or not looking and just disorganized. He said he would give me edited photos and from the looks of them they dont seem to be edited at all. Looks like i just had someone randome snapping photos.Some are to far away that you cant see our faces or have to much sunlight shinning on us or have terrible backrounds and most of all look so disorganized its ridiculous. I dont have a single picture of the 730 that I want to get enlarged to hang up in my home. Beyond disappointed since this is all I have to look back on my wedding. We are actually thinking of redoing our pictures with someone else which means we would have to put our wedding attire on again and redo but definately will not be the same or have the same meaning but is a must if we want something nice to hang up in our home.
