I stopped in recently because I was in the mood for a divey bar experience and was astonished when I wasn't hit in the face with a cloud of smoke when I opened the door. It's a total game changer. Apparently they're under new ownership and they've cleaned up the inside and decor, and (obviously) there's no smoking anymore. The pool tables and the dart boards are high quality and the people working there are really nice and helpful. I'm looking forward to having a nice place to play pool on this side of town!

So, I had been waiting all day to watch the Montreal v. Buffalo playoff match…read more Montreal was up 2-1 in the series, and they usually don't get this far in the playoffs! So I was keyed up! I got my Publix hot and spicy wings and my Carolina bbq sauce, and all I needed was a beer and a screen. (Did you know you can bring your own food into Silver Q? You can get take-out, bring your own, or order delivery...yup) Anyway, there was a billards tournament going on, so when I asked the bartender to put it on the game, SHE PUT IT ON THE BIG SCREEN!! Wow!! Unfortunately, after watching the match and enjoying my spicy chicken and Yuenglings for THREE HOURS, my bartender took a break, and another bartender changed the channel, with 4 MINUTES LEFT IN THE GAME! It took the wind out of my sails! I walked up and told her, and asked her to change it back, but she got busy making drinks for other people, and so I just closed out my tab and left. Maybe next time, I'll go to a dedicated sports bar, and only come here, when I want to play pool...yeah, that's the ticket!

I ran for the University of North Florida ten years ago. After graduating UNF in May 2009, I ran my first marathon in 3:31. Five years later, I decided I wanted to train to beat my marathon PR. I created my own workouts and trained very hard, but I continued to struggle and feel defeated. I ran my next marathons in 2016 in 3:33 2017 in 3:51, and 2018 in 3:38. Began with Dr Layne via Zoom about a year ago. Average weekly or twice weekly sessions. He's been…read morepivotal in me making advancement in balance, strength, coordination, sensory alignment, and many other items. I was a young stroke survivor following physic trauma. I had 5 strokes including brain stem. Though each stroke is unique and I've had other refuse to work with me due to the uncommon nature of my injuries, Dr Layne has been steady and constantly adjusts to exactly what is presenting and what I can do in a session. I started with about 15-20 min sessions and do have the goal of getting to competitive weightlifting. His knowledge, compassion and willingness to tweak everything to what I need in the moment show me his depth of knowledge and experience surpasses most and his demeanor is a blessing.
