Vanity Fayre is a super independent shop, situated in the centre of the main high street. Easily…read moreaccessible for anyone, as it is on the level with no stairs, unfortunately inside the shop to get to the clothes there is a mini step, which I guess would possibly make this a little difficult for individuals who are wheelchair bound. The shop has a selection of clothes for women of all shapes and sizes which are definately kept within the seasons, and fashionable, as well as being suitable for each individual. The prices are reasonable, and garments of high quality. The sales within the shop are always great and you have to get there quick to ensure you get what you want, as many of the garments are snapped up quickly. Vanity fayre has a fair selection and if they have nothing in that you want they are always willing to order anything in, in any style and any size. Very popular for there fashion shows, with models that are not stick thin but represent women, average women. I was in there just before my wedding to help my husbands grandmother chose and outfit, she is very self conscious, however she was totally at ease within minutes of being in the shop. The staff members are so polite, and not judgemental like some shop staff can be. There was no pushy sales pitch, just brilliant knowledgable advice on what suits and what doesn't. I was surprised that there were garments for young ladies as well as the mature lady. It is most certainly a popular shop, with many customers browsing the gorgeous selection of garments. Fascinators are also available to finish of your outfit, as well as maybe a bit of sparkle with some beautiful jewellery. I was very impressed with the shop, the items, but above all the service which was provided. This shop is a must for any lady who is self conscious. You will never feel uncomfortable here, the staff make you feel great and really give you a boost.

In fact, it's the only place I bothered to buy souvenirs from while in Scotland! It's a true one-stop shop. There's even an express cafe. Bathrooms are across the way. I'm happy with my magnets and mythical book.

It's a funny old shop Primark. They pile them high and sell them cheap. I firmly believe in the old…read moreadage you get what you pay for - everything I've bought in Primark has fallen apart, lost it's shape or bobbled badly after the first wash. The childrenswear is upstairs - which means you have to find and take the lift if you've got a buggy (it's right at the back beside the underwear). They only sell mens slippers at Xmas time!! I only use Primark if I'm looking for a fancy dress outfit for the kids and need cheap accessories or tshirts. I also wonder about the ethics behind Primark but that discussion is for another place.

Noreen & Kelly's is an independent business which is easily accessed as it is central in the middle…read moreof the high street. parking surrounds the shop both at the back and at the other side of the street. On the level access, so easy for pushchairs and wheelchairs to enter. Inside there is a selection of clothing, babies and young children to womens clothing and underwear. As well as knitting and sewing items. Prices are ok, but sometimes the garments are not always 'in' with the season. Sizes are a little bit limited, and the clothing rails are so close that it's hard to move around. there are 2 changing rooms which is handy if you do find clothes to try on. There are times when you will find a gorgeous piece of clothing but most of the time it is for the more mature ladies. Window displays are always enticing, and they continually have offers on during the year. Staff are friendly and willing to help.
