Being a "boy mom" for five years now, I can't tell you the last time I dressed up and felt pretty, let alone sexy. This experience helped me remember what that felt like. I did this for me more than for my husband as I had felt I had completely lost my identity to motherhood as every mom may feel at some point. The day of the shoot I was a nervous wreck, inside. I remember driving there thinking, "Let's get this done with." That perspective changed almost as soon as I walked into her studio. Immediately she and the makeup artist (the name eludes me ) put me at ease with their easy and funny conversation. I felt so pampered getting all dolled up. When the shoot started I still had some anxiety but it pretty much dissipated with the first few shots. Jillian is a fantastic coach, as I felt like I had no clue wtf I was doing. Even if you feel silly in the moment those photos come out fire!!! She does this cute, funny, and sexy "meow" noise that I loved! Even the shots she showed me on the camera blew my mind. There was no way that was me! When I left the session, I had such an ego boost. I felt more confident in my skin than I had since before my 5 year old was born. I couldn't believe how the time in that session flew by. The ordering session was even more exciting, if possible, since I brought my husband with me. I may have said something like, "holy shit" when the slideshow started. I couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that the beautiful woman on the screen was, in fact, me. My husband had an even harder time narrowing down the photos than I did. I've never been so thrilled with a series of photos before. Do yourself a favor and book a session for yourself. Lisa is a true professional who makes you feel extremely comfortable in the setting. Not only does she do an amazing job with hair and makeup but she guides you through each shot and really makes you feel BEAUTIFUL. It shows in the photos. Her work quality is outstanding and she is a true professional. One note I need to add, when I received the photos which I had ordered and bought, they were cropped all around where my head was cut off in some and my feet in some. The quality of the prints is not of professional standard as the prints are so very dark that some of them you can't even see my feet in the background, especially the black and white photos. This is the photo processing process of who ever it is she does business with and not her photography which is great. I ordered a 16x20 and when I received it, well it measures 16x24. To get this beautiful picture framed is now going to cost me a couple hundred more as it'll have to be done custom due to the size. Plesae don't take this as me not being satisfied because I am very satisfied with her photography but very unhappy with the print quality. Buy the CD with all your photos on them and have them done at a custom photo lab, the quality will be much better.

We of course had looked at her amazing photos on her website but meeting with her sealed the deal. Kristy makes you feel so comfortable, like you're meeting with a friend. She allowed us to make changes to the standard packages she offers so everything was perfectly tailored to us. An engagement session was included in our package and it was a great way to get to know Kristy and how she works. I would absolutely suggest this before the wedding shoot. This was also a great way to get to know Kristy as a person. By the end of that shoot my husband and I knew we had not only picked the perfect photographer but we had made a new friend as well. One of the best parts about the whole experience with Kristy is how quickly she gets a "sneak peek" up. You can tell how much she loves what she does because it's up by the next day! The wedding day was great. Kristy was 9 months pregnant on our wedding day so she was kind enough to get us a 3rd photographer (not originally included in the package) in case anything were to happen. (She of course let us know about this as soon as she could) Everyone was on time and professional. It was really important to my husband and I that we get great photos with out being swept away from our guests for hours. Kristy took us aside for maybe 20 min. post ceremony and maybe another 10 min. later once the light was better. We could not be happier with the shots that she and her team we able to achieve! And our sneak peek was up Sunday before we left on our honeymoon!
