I didn't realize this when I was making my arrangements. I didn't feel like the safety lock on the door was secure so I quickly put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the outside of my door. I arrived late in the evening and was given a room. I noticed that the television didn't work. When I tried to call the front desk, the phone in the room was totally dead. I had to use my cell phone to call. They didn't send anyone to assist me, but told me to unplug the cable and wait. I did this and the television still didn't work. They had to move me to a different room. The t.v. in the new room worked, but the telephone was dead also. The water was hot in the shower and the beds are comfortable. The rooms were clean and the staff is nice. There is NO complimentary breakfast like the website said. There is a restaurant in the back on the hotel complex that you can go to and buy food. The food and prices were decent. Personally, I won't stay here again because of the safety factor.

The unfun began when we got to our room. it almost looks like they ran out of money the moment they finished the exterior. Or perhaps it's a work in progress. Or perhaps that's how they build new mid-tier hotels these days. This may seem like minor nitpicking, but it Is certainly an inconvenience. There is NO place to put your clothes other than hang them up in the closet. No dresser, one drawer on the floor - see pic. The seating area has a sofa, nothing else. See 2nd pic. Just found the refrigerator, very very happy. I will check in every day as we're here for four days and share our experience. It should be noted that I did change my review after about two hours, changed it for the better. Yeah there's some things that are definitely missing which is why it's four stars. (I have been super generous after my earlier versions) That said, it is spotlessly clean, the AC works real well.

Overall, we had a great time at Greenfield Inn and Suites! My little sister wanted a "beach"…read morebirthday party and this was as close to the real thing as you can get in Elizabethtown! The pool within the greenhouse, surrounded by REAL plants and cute cabanas made her day perfect! My Nana purchased a room to allow us access to the pool and said the breakfast was simple but delicious! The reason I give this hotel 4 stars: You can tell some of the "out-dated" details have just been painted over, the pool area had ants/was a little messy, and our room could use some small repairs. AND (here's the biggest issue) My Nana went in and asked about having a birthday party. The front desk attendant was very kind and said that they could absolutely do it. My Nana then purchased the room. Later on, a week or so later, my Nana returned to make sure everything was still all good. The front desk attendant this time was extremely rude. She told my Nana that they "don't do birthday parties". My Nana informed her that she was told they did and that's why she purchased a room. The attendant retorted with "well it's only 4 adults to a room so that's all that can come". Luckily, another guest chimed in and told the attendant that there were 3 birthday parties the prior weekend! My Nana also informed the attendant that it would only be my sister (9), a baby, and a handful of adults and there would not be an issue. The attendant reluctantly consulted the manager who, per the attendant, said "well can do it this time, but no more." When we went in for her party, we were met with a kind desk attendant and staff. Maybe this was just a fluke, but it was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth. TLDR; Greenfield Inn and Suites made for a fun 9th birthday party and yummy breakfast despite the inconsistent information/hospitality from staff.

The rooms are a little outdated, but they were very clean and felt fresh, which is what matters most after a long day of traveling. The staff Jennifer and Carline were friendly and welcoming during check-in/check-out, making the process quick and easy. Their pool area is cute and good for families and kids. Another big plus was the excellent price for the stay--it was very reasonable for the quality and comfort we received. The location is also very convenient, with lots of restaurants and other hotels nearby, which made it easy to grab food and relax for the night. We decided to stay here because of the great reviews, and I'm happy to say they were absolutely right. I'm definitely not disappointed with our choice! Looking forward to making this a stop every roadtrip!

This is supposedly one of the few houses that was not burned when the Confederate army seized it. The house is quite charming if you're into old houses. Our room was fairly nice with maybe a few too many pieces of furniture stuffed in it. You don't really have a private bathroom unless nobody else is staying there. They seem to be improving the place, as they were putting in central air while we were there (I think). The Good: The bed was comfortable, there is free wireless, and the owner/operator is very pleasant. Breakfast was good. The Bad: The grounds needed some tending to. The grass was very over-grown, as were the vines hanging over the front walk-way. Breakfast was about 45 minutes late and we didn't have access to coffee until breakfast was ready (though it was very good). The owner/operators have two young children. They didn't disturb us, though you should know this is sort of a family-friendly establishment. Some of you may like that, and some of you may not. If ever in the middle of Kentucky again, we would consider staying here again.
