It started in Clayton NY and went up past Alexandria Bay. There was a delightful announcer who filled us all in on what we were seeing along the way. If you visit Clayton, don't miss this boat trip. Boldt Castle is breathtaking. https://www.boldtcastle.com/visitorinfo/about This trip was worth 100 stars.

The boat had adequate seating, our lunches that were part of our package, were well prepared Ns very good. We had a chicken wrap. and a ham & cheese wrap. A drink and potato chips were furnished with our picnic lunch. If one were to get thirsty after the supplied drink was consumed, there was a limited bar serving soda, beer, and a few choices of mixed drinks. Dennis, the tour guide was the bar tender. The tour included viewing several islands with a discussion of the various homes and buildings on them. The star attraction was Boldt Castle We were given 1.5-hrs to tour the Castle, and it was amazing. The other disembarkment was at a historic lighthouse, which tourists could climb the 256 steps for a grand view of the St. Lawrence River. We had a great time, and I recommend to anyone who visits the Alexandria Bay or Clayton area to jump on board

This is a one-boat family operation. The pride shows and you are well taken care of (or left alone as one chooses at times) the entire time. 5 day, 4 night cruise up the 1000 Islands: Kingston to Upper Canada Village and back. The rooms are small, which shouldn't be a surprise. Two twins that they made up and turned down daily. Small toilet/shower combo with tons of hot water. Small sink outside the bathroom. Storage to two roller bags or something slightly larger. Don't need much. Attire is shorts and shirts with the occasional light sweater. Our weather (5 days) was pitch perfect. The crew was excellent and took good care of us (we were considered the youngsters). Each room has an attendant, but no room service; they expect you to be upstairs. Our pursor (Trevor) is an old hand and very experienced, as are the other members of the crew. They really aim to please and entertain. Outings were very good, esp. Upper Canada Village, which I found far easier to experience than Williamsburg, and far less crowded. The entertainment was good (average magician) or excellent (musician Roger). No singles on our trip; average age 75+ but spry. All meals were good or excellent. Prime rib on the first night was among the best I've ever had. Pork on 2nd night was good but not remarkable. Good fish. Steak on the last night was very tender but a tad dry. Sitting area up front and in the back. Rarely a crowd. Upper deck is fully exposed, so on sunny days you'll need a hat or umbrella. Guests from several countries and all good people. I return to the pride. It was very evident on all fronts and well earned

In particular, we wanted to go on the 2.5 Hour boat tour and loved the beauty, history and the locals enjoying the water too! The second portion was visiting the Famous Heart Island where George C. Boldt, millionaire proprietor of the world famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, set out to build a full size rhineland castle in Alexandria Bay, on picturesque Heart Island.  The grandiose structure was to be a display of his love for his wife, Louise. The structures on the island were amazing! I personally LOVE architecture and history so this was a fantastic experience! Had it been Pre-Covid times, we would have been able to disembark from the boat and explored the island, as the Americans were doing. But because it is technically on the American side of the St Lawrence River, and because of the pandemic, we could only admire it from afar. We can't wait for warmer weather so we can go back and visit!

The company states on their website of the following: "Join us on a 1-hour cruise taking you closer than any other cruise available in the 1000 Islands." Roughly six years ago my mother and I had the opportunity to visit the 1000 Islands through a traveling agency. I cannot recall the company we had used to sail the 1000 Islands, but I' am carefully assuming it was Rockport Cruises. I may be completely wrong. This summer my mother and I were excited to bring the rest of my family to explore the 1000 Islands. The rest of my family members have never been to the islands. My mother and I were completely unsatisfied with the tour and how Gananoque Boat Lines website descriptions were misleading. Rockport cruises took us closer than Gananoque Boat Lines to the 1000 Islands. Gananoque Boat Lines 1 hour cruise only goes around, and not into the heart of the 1000 Islands. I would strongly advise travelers to avoid the BEAUTY OF THE ISLANDS CRUISE. Such a shame.

I can't even begin to count. "Aqua Mania", hands down was absolutely one of the best places we have ever rented a pontoon boat from. Everyone I spoke to was very knowledgeable and friendly. Their pontoon boats seemed like they were brand new and really in great working order. Our boat would fit 12 people ( but who wants that) They took the time out to make sure we were completely comfortable on the boat, plus gave us some great tips about where we could go on the river for what we wanted to do. We wanted to do some fishing, swimming plus site see. Nothing is better than being able to control what you want to do on the river for the day. We had a fantastic time!
