Sydney and the staff called me in the morning and evening each day to let me know how my cat was doing and Dr. Langford is an experienced and down to earth vet. They truly care about your pet's well being here. Their prices were either comparable or better than some of the other places I called around to and if you live in or around Neptune or Atlantic Beach, you cannot beat this location.

My sweetest guy (don't tell the cats) got a difficult diagnosis today, and instead of leaving the office feeling down, I left armed with information and hope. Our tech, Charlene, radiates compassion and empathy. Dr. Bishop is thorough, positive, and easy to talk with. Both have a wealth of knowledge. I had a million questions, though not for lack of them giving me a ton of info up front. They took their time to answer everything, never making me feel rushed. Everything about the visit was transparent, from what to expect with the exam, to pricing (fair and affordable), to plan of care. Beyond my experience today, they send e-reminders when vaccines are due and have an easy to use app on which appointments can be scheduled. I'm so thankful Dr. Bishop and team are part of our little beach community, I look forward to many years of excellent, compassionate, veterinary care.

There's not enough kind things I can say about Dr. Cole and his staff. Dr. Cole has been the vet…read morefor my parents' dogs for close to 10 years and when I first got my little Chihuahua, he was his vet at Beaches Animal Clinic. We've since moved out of state and my little guy is 11 now and in heart failure and I've spent close to 5k on treatments in the past month alone in New York City, where we live. While visiting my parents this month, we had a little scare and Dr. Cole and his team got us in right away and gave us such excellent care. He really took the time to talk to me about heart failure and really comforted me in a way that no other vet had, even with all of the incredibly expensive treatments. And all that to say that the care and more importantly, the compassion we received with Dr. Cole far exceeds any other vet we've seen. I'd highly recommend him for any pet parent.

If you have ever have an emergency this is not the place…read more Back a couple of months ago my doggie started having a really awful ear infection and they couldn't help us so we took her somewhere else. Yet another emergency comes up with my second doggie (can't hold fluids, food and bloody stool) and needed some help. Been coming there for a while but my wife and I decided to not come here anymore mostly because of customer service and availability. According to front desk staff they were triple booked (I think she meant overbooked) and that we had to wait hours to be taken care of. Long story short, took my doggie to the ER room down the road (First Coast Veterinary) they're incredible - I wish they were more than just an ER room. Black and white difference. The funny thing is that they recognized us, we keep going there because at Cole's there's rarely availability for either walk ins or emergencies. Front desk staff is so inconsistent with customer service. There's been times where I have walked in and they don't even say hello, just not welcoming. Just make sure you show up when they're in a good mood. Dr. Cole - awesome, he's patient, caring and knowledgeable. five stars for him. Customers service - inconsistent, could potentially be perceived as rude, not welcoming, unprofessional. one star for front desk staff. Availability - one star, I was a client for years and always had to go somewhere else. I attached First Coast ER phone number in case you want to check them out but again you'll be impressed.

5 stars from me, 1 star from my cat because he hates going to the vet!…read more We've been going here for years and have been very happy with their wonderful, affordable service. My cat was due for his check-up during the COVID pandemic. They adapted so graciously by having me drive up and call upon arrival. They came to my car to get my cat, completed the service, called and took payment over the phone, then brought my cat back to the car. Great adaptation during this COVID crisis, and my cat didn't have to be in the waiting room with dogs - his most hated part of going to the vet!

After giving this office multiple chances, I've decided it's time to find a new veterinarian for my…read moredog. At my dog's two-year wellness exam, I specifically brought up his ongoing itchy skin because I wanted it evaluated. They took him to the back for routine testing, brought him back, and then immediately started checking us out. I actually had to remind them that I had concerns about his skin. The first recommendation was simply to buy a different shampoo, and another veterinarian later suggested giving him over-the-counter human allergy medication. At no point did anyone actually examine his skin, which was the entire reason I brought up the concern. I left feeling like my concerns weren't taken seriously. The second experience was just as disappointing. We ordered my dog's flea prevention through a third-party pharmacy, which reached out to the clinic for prescription authorization. My husband also contacted the office. Days went by with no response from the clinic to either us or the pharmacy. We finally had to call ourselves to find out what was going on, only to be told they had received the request but that we needed to come in to pick up a written prescription. That's completely understandable if it's their policy, but why not simply communicate that when the request came in instead of leaving us wondering for days? Good communication and thorough care are so important when it comes to our pets, and unfortunately those are the areas where this clinic consistently fell short for us. I gave them multiple opportunities because I wanted it to work out, but after these experiences, I'll be transferring my dog to another veterinarian. I hope this feedback helps the practice improve their communication and attentiveness to their patients and their owners.
