Before gathering all the necessary information--such as exactly how much grapes my dog has eaten, they administered medication to induce vomiting and put him on an IV. They decided to ask after preforming the induction. As a result, I was charged $325, despite feeling that the procedures were excessive given the situation and the lack of proper communication. Only after expressing my dissatisfaction did they refund the office visit fee of $71, but that still doesn't make up for the fact that the majority of the cost remained, even though they acted without fully understanding the circumstances. I am in a state of confusion, feeling unheard, overcharged, and frustrated. Based on what happened, My strong belief is the refund should have been more substantial. Pet owners deserve transparency, communication, and careful evaluation before any treatments is done, none of which I experienced here. I will not be returning, and I hope others approach this facility with skepticism and caution.

The doctors and techs were amazing. Treated us and our dog with the upmost respect. They did a thorough check on Harper and explained everything to us as they were doing it. They gave harper a few tranquilizers so we could get him back home comfortably in Pittsburgh as well as upping his dosage for the medication he's currently taking. HIGHLY recommend these guys if you live in or are visiting the Jacksonville area and need a Vet.

Had a second incident that needed quick care when I stopped to help someone who had had a car accident. He took the time to read through all of the past reports, tests, labs etc and listened to my concerns. I told him that we had insurance on the cat and that in about a month and half I would be starting over with deductibles and any tests he wanted to do could we do them this month. Dr. Bissell set up tests to be done so we can compare to last tests from 8 months ago to see the progression. He was so thorough and he consulted with Cardiologist and internist for best plans rather than just his own knowledge. He is a very smart vet, but I love when a Dr will work with other specialist to verify right path of treatment. I feel with Dr. Bissell as my vet I will have many more years with my cat. I have 2 other animals as well that are healthy and will be bringing them here once they are in need of their physicals etc. So happy I found them.

i had my dog here for 2 days and i picked him up and he is in the state i didn't drop him off as…read more I gave them direction for what my dog needs to feel comfortable and they didn't do it, the front desk couldn't get the info right in his notes, when i was told it was done and going to be fine i don't even know if they fed him since they didn't even give him his treats, and he appears to be dehydrated, an as he is trying to get back to what is his normal he's sleeping like he never slept before, which means he didn't sleep there, i don't even think he had his blanket and toy, i asked to have him have a few potty pads that i brought them, and when i picked him up it was the same amount that they gave me back!!!! so i would not recommend this place for any animal to stay!!!! i dropped my dog off and they put him in his kennel and never took the time to take care of him!!!! this place is horrible and i cant even rate them it's that bad my gizmo will never be the same
