If you're on the fence about booking, don't hesitate! You'll love it! I had never done a photo shoot like this in my life but scheduled one for my 48th birthday and am so glad I did! The whole process was seamless. Michael was great to work with when it came to scheduling and confirming everything, and the building was easy to find. I took his advice and had the Uber go to the building across the street and it worked like a charm. Dapheney and Philipp were so wonderful when it came to hair and makeup. I felt gorgeous and just told them to do their thing based on what they thought would look best. (And as a bonus, I got to look hot when seeing a Broadway show that night.) I felt like an old Hollywood screen siren. Raya was professional and INCREDIBLE. I used some of her costumes and she helped me feel way more comfortable than I ever thought I could in my skin. She knew the right lighting and angles to bring out my best features, and did I mention it was so FUN? I didn't know I could pose like that. I was able to see all the photos within a day and was blown away by her skill. My boyfriend was so impressed too and had a hard time choosing his favorites because there were so many good ones. We hope to do a session as a couple someday in the future when visiting NYC. If you're thinking about doing a session, book it! This is a present you'll give yourself and it's so worth it. read more

My 45th birthday had passed and it hit me that I was actually *45*!! My husband has always enjoyed lingerie and I knew time was catching up to me so I called Raya. I can't even begin to explain how amazing the whole experience was - from communication with Michael (the office manager) to the stylists and Raya! I did go in to it with some ideas about makeup, outfits, hair, etc., but the best thing I did was leave it to the professionals. They knew exactly what needed to be done to make sure everything was top notch! The pictures are amazing beyond anything I could have come up with in my own imagination - I felt totally comfortable! I am NOT photogenic - I make weird faces and I'm awkward as hell - out of 100 pics I like maybe 2. Out of 129 pics I love 118. Raya tells you exactly what to do so that you look your absolute best! I think her prices are amazing and the experience is worth every penny!! read more

One of a kind photography. Raya was so kind and professional. She has an amazing studio and such original costumes for a vintage look. What a fantastic direction and eye she has. I took my 8yr old son here and did a shoot w/his friend. LOVE the looks, lighting, and the glamorous photos. I HIGHLY recommend you go see Raya. read more

So much talent in this studio! Was an amazing experience for me. I found out about this photographer while looking for artists who offer vintage-style portraits. You really do get what you pay for here, amazing service, talented hair/makeup artists, and of course beautiful images. Raya was the sweetest in helping me with my 1920s vision, we had a lot of fun at the shoot. Highly recommend! read more

Your Hollywood Portrait Studio - My photo shoot with Raya - Boudoir Photography Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I had an excellent experience at this studio. It's not the easiest place to get to, but once you get there it's well worth it. Raya Is extremely professional and patient. The studio is first class, very clean and spacious. I thought the make up artist was outstanding and very professional. I ended up looking like a movie star, but I would've preferred that my curls came out a little bit softer. I was photographed were three different outfits and I felt that each was a metamorphosis. I am not a professional model but I felt like each shot was a poster shot. Raya proved to be extremely helpful in terms of setting me up for each shot with perfect poses. I was very happy with the high quality prints that I received at home. I definitely recommend this studio to others. This was a birthday gift to me and it was one of the best gifts I've ever received. read more

Raya and her team were AMAZING! MY PROFILE PICTURE IS THEIR WORK! The hair and make-up were beautifully done and still looked natural. Raya was very professional and patient with me. I had no experience posing for photos but with her instructions the photoshoot was really smooth. The quality of the products are great. The pictures look amazing too! I love it so much that I hope to do it again very soon!!! read more

I ordered the photo shoot with Raya as a Valentine's Day present for my wife and she had an amazing experience with her. Michael and Raya were especially helpful ahead of the shoot, which was much needed as my wife was a bit of a nervous wreck. She went in very uncertain about the whole situation and came out feeling like a super model. And most importantly, the portraits backed up how she felt! It turned out to be just as much a gift for me as it was for her. Thank you to Raya and Michael for an awesome experience! read more

Studio is very professional, photographer is EXTREMELY skilled, support staff (hair and makeup) were awesome! Overall it was not just a session but a memorable experience! thanks for going above and beyond! read more

If you want unique portrait photos that are not just with black and white wall background like most studios have, this is the right place for you!! Raya is a very great photographer and knows how to position you for vintage Hollywood portraits. I chose Gone with the Wind package and also purchased photo album from them. The quality of the printing photos and the book are all very good. You get 5 retouched photo for the package. It's great but would be better if we can get more though. The shooting was roughly 3 hrs with makeup and hair stylist, two outfit changes. Raya is also very fast with feedback and retouch after the photo shootings. Overall very good customer service and experience. Highly recommended! read more

I booked a photo shoot with Raya as a b-day gift for myself and what a treat it was! Nowadays, with digital camera and photoshop, the marketplace is flooded with amateur photographers who set up shop with a few basic equipment. I tried one of those two years ago - the portraits were fine, but flat and forgettable. With Raya, it's anything but. Raya stands out with her mastery of lighting and a keen eye for aesthetic. The photos were stunning - beautiful settings, rich in color and depth. It was almost magical to see how she creates such different imagery by adjusting the lighting. She's personable and very pleasant to work with - gave good directions and was very encouraging throughout the shoot. If you book a session with professional hair and makeup, that's quite an experience as well - getting air-brushed, having hair and makeup people hover around you during the shoot, touching up here and there, tweaking hair style for different shoots... In sum, like the other reviewers said, you would come out of a shoot with Raya feeling fabulous and confident - beats 10 sessions with the shrink and 10 spa treatments combined :-) - and you would have these great photos to treasure forever! read more

My boyfriend bought the Gone with the Wind package as my bday gift. I had a memorable and great shooting time with Raya and her team. They were very professional and knew exactly what I wanted. Also, when editing photos, Raya was very patient and tried to make them look perfect as I expected. Therefore, I booked the same package for my mom for her bday too! read more

RAYA WAS AMAZING...but I knew that already :) She can capture exactly the look you are going for...and the overall book/photoshoot is graceful, charming and has a underlying theme...she chooses very careful pics and she doesnt mind to stay a little more to make the customer happy... Amazing!!! Michael and Raya made this experience very memorable! They were both Accommodating and professional! The photo shoot was excellent and classy! Made me feel exceptional and important! My mother and I visited New York on vacation, booking the shoot a few weeks in advance. They communicated with us both, making sure all bases were covered! I recommend doing a glam-shot with Raya! This was a truly rewarding and memorable experience!!! read more

My future sister-in-law referred me and I am so glad she did. Raya is amazing!! She is very professional and makes you feel at ease throughout the whole photo shoot. Her hair and makeup stylists are also fantastic-they glammed me up so quickly! I will definitely recommend Raya to others. read more

All I can say is WOW!!!! I booked the gone with the wind package with the add on. It was all completely worth it. This was my first time ever doing anything like this. Everyone involved is just amazing. Michael helped me feel at ease and made sure that I understood everything that was going to happen. When it came down to the shoot, Raya and her team (hair and makeup ) helped me to be comfortable . I was amazed by the final product. I never thought or dreamed that I could look that amazing! The most difficult thing was cutting the pictures to your final picks. I got my pictures back and I was completely floored! I highly recommend this experience to everyone .. I got this for a gift for my other half but it turned into a gift for myself as well. read more

I can't believe the quality of the photos, especially given the price. If you are going for boudoir photography, go to Raya. She is marginally more expensive than others (way under-priced) and for that differential you receive a quality boost that is unquantifiable. You have the opportunity to have photos done by an actual professional fashion photographer -- how often do you get that done? Wouldn't you want them to be heirloom-quality? Don't you want to show your grandkids how hot you were at one time? Lol maybe not, but I sure do. Raya is a total professional, and her makeup artist was amazing too. Booking with Michael and all the discussions afterwords are a breeze. I've shown the photos to friends of mine who are professional photographers as well, and they were blown away. "I don't have the skill or the equipment to take those photos, I couldn't do that," they all said. They were even more impressed than I was. I am considering going back in a couple of years, and I wouldn't think of going to anyone but Raya. read more

This was such a wonderful experience for me! Raya and Micheal are not only professional, they were also pleasant to work with. My photos came out beautifully! I highly recommend them! read more

If you are looking for someone who is truly a master at her art, Raya is the photographer you want. I probably have screened, looked through the portfolios and reached to over 20 photographers to find someone I trusted to shoot my boudoir photos. I think every woman should do this for herself and it will be an empowering experience with most photographers (this is why a lot of studio I looked at got great reviews with pretty average photos). But since you are not doing a boudoir shooting every month, you should really select a great photographer. Raya is of the most creative and experienced talent in New York; she knows which lighting, which pose will look good. She was also very encouraging of any poses I wanted to try (eventually did not look as good as her suggestions ) Raya, her makeup artist Jessica, and hair stylist Itomi were so professional and made me feel so comfortable. My pictures came out so great that I can't even believe that some of them are of me! Worth every penny! read more

As an Event Planner, I had the opportunity to work with Raya in July 2014. A mother reached me to find a gift to her 20 years old daughter who came to New York for the first time. She was looking for something special, glamour and fun. I immediately taught about Raya and her Hollywood Portrait session. Raya did an incredible job. My client was so delighted and felt so special during the photo shoot. The studio in Soho is perfectly located. The background, the accessories and the dresses are gorgeous. The hairstylist and the make up artist know exactly how to make a Hollywood look. And Raya is a magician with her camera. My client said that she will never forget this birthday gift! read more

I wanted to get a really nice portrait, do something special for me for once. I looked online and saw a lot of different options in the city. Since I was going to do it once, I wanted a real professional photographer. Raya's website showed all the editorial she had done, really high end stuff. So I booked a shooting with hair and makeup. Before the shooting Raya sent me a bunch of tips to get ready. The shooting was amazing! I felt very comfortable, the team was very nice and professional. Raya has an impressive equipment to make you beautiful, and she guided me for the poses. I chose an Oscar de la Renta gown for the shoot, never tried one before. It was really a great experience, I love the final photos and my husband is now bugging me to get a huge print in the living room! I'm so happy I did this shoot with a dream team. I would definitely recommand Raya read more

My boyfriend gave me a photo-shoot with Raya as a gift, and I had a great experience and a lovely time working with her! From the minute you book this package Raya will offer insights on the looks and the things you need to do to get ready (just like pros do). Once in the studio, she can assist you choosing your best outfits and she also has additional options and fun props that you can use. Most importantly, when you are on set and she is behind the camera, you know you are in the hands of a professional - she will guide you with the poses and make you feel really comfortable throughout the whole process. She will also show you the shots on screen and you can be sure you will get the results you are looking for. She also does a good job on making a quick pre-selection with you and is very diligent in sending the final shots (digitally and print) very quickly. She was really sweet and approachable, and the result were some fabulous shots! read more

I booked the "gone with the wind" package with the add on of purchasing the leather bonded book. Well worth it !!!! The quality of the photographs were exemplary. Raya is soooo amazing!!! I booked the Gone with the Wind package, which includes a 2-hour photo shoot and a professional makeup session. Raya is a truly professional photographer. She contacted me before the photo shoot regarding what hair style, make-up, and dresses would fit me. In the studio, she assisted me in choosing the best outfits and poses. We received a fabulous photo book, canvas print, and a DVD with over hundred photos taken during the photo shoot. I am glad that I did my fist time photo shoot with Raya. She made me look confident and beautiful. read more

I wanted to surprise my husband with a couples photo shoot for Valentines. We live in Texas and was traveling to NY for a few days to celebrate. Goggling for fashion photographers in NY, I ran across Raya's profile. I was very impressed with her lighting awards and her resume of high-end photography. Her work appeared to be edgy...exactly what I was looking for. Her assistant, Michael, guided me through the entire process. I emailed outfits and even pictures of my husband and I. They were very accommodating from beginning to end. The photo shoot was incredibly professional. We felt like fashion models. The pictures are amazing! We had so many great shots. It was very difficult to select. After receiving the prints we could not believe how magazine ready they look. Thank you Raya! read more

What an amazing experience!!! I never thought I would come out looking like a model! I booked the Gone with the Wind package as a boudoir shoot and added on the extras (the book and extra touched up photos) for my wedding gift to my future husband. Raya is a true professional and artist. She made every picture unreal. I brought my own outfits to wear and she helped me accessorize them. The make up and hair that was part of this package came out so good! I wish I could have them do it for me all the time! They knew exactly what would look great for these types of photos. Raya tells you exactly how to pose/uses the lighting to hide all your flaws too! The studio manager Michael is amazing to work with as well. He is so nice and always there to answer any questions. Only women are at the studio during your session which makes it extremely comfortable and Michael takes care of everything before and after your shoot. I highly recommend using Your Holly Portrait Studio, you will be super impressed with the results as well as all of the things you get for your $$$!!! ENJOY!!! Update: My new husband LOVED everything about this!!!! He can't stop looking at the pictures and telling me how amazing they are!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! What a great gift!!! read more

Every woman should do this. Hands down Raya is the best in this business. Boudoir photography was something I always wanted to do as a keepsake for myself but as the holidays were rolling in; and I had just gotten married, I thought there is no better time to do this then now. I searched over 10 different boudoir studios and they all fell short of the professionalism and beauty I was looking for in my portraits. Raya brings in top notch hair and make-up artist to make you look and feel fabulous, she personally does all the shooting and there is no entourage in the background, just Raya, and one hair and make up person which made me feel at ease. During the session she is excellent at styling and posing you so you're comfortable, every shot was a beauty. The turn around for the photos was very quick. I worked with Michael for all the logistics, he was very prompt, professional and a pleasure to work with also. I plan on going back to do a session of glamour shots next round. read more

I was looking for a female photographer and found Raya and her studio. She has done several high end advertising campaigns so I figured that if established brands trusted her with their image, I could too! None of the boudoir studios in Manhattan seem to have a photographer that does high end advertising work at a reasonable price so the choice was easy... I was definitely not disappointed. Raya is not only very talented but she is also very professional. Her hair stylist and makeup artist were also really good. I knew I could trust her to make everything look beautiful. And she did! Thanks Raya!! read more
