Had a great experience with Floorpro. Hired them to refinish 12-year-old worn hardwood floors…read more The workmanship was excellent; our floors look as good (or better) than when new. The company provided a timely and accurate estimate, sent us a photo of the technician who would perform the work, and then allowed us to inspect and approve the work before settling with them on the bill--all done effortlessly, which is a plus. We heartily recommend Floorpro for any hardwood work. They also do carpeting--and do it well if the hardwood flooring experience is any indication. Give them a call--ask for Larry. He took the time to walk us through the process while giving the estimate, advised us on quarter-rounds (the little moldings where the floor meets the walls), and other options for us to select from. He valued our input but also did not hesitate to suggest other (better?) options where we were uncertain. He made the process simple and effortless for us. And he did a bang-up job bringing the floors back to life. We cannot rate this company too highly.

Brian and his team are just amazing!…read more We recently purchased a new home and needed to update our old home to list it for sale. After speaking with a multitude of companies and getting quotes ranging from high to unreasonably high to "are you trying to get me to put your kids through medical school?" high we were introduced to Floor Boys and Brian. They saved us time, money and our minds. Brian himself came out immediately and did all of the measurements with minimal guidance. He just knew what to do and left the nonsense at the door. The next day he sent us an itemized quote and gave us a price that was lower than everyone else without us even revealing how much our other quotes were. He beat one flooring company's price by over half! The best part is the high end quote was for the bottom of the line carpet and flooring. Brian quoted us with actual quality products with exceptional warranties. Floor boys came out the following week and even moved the date up for us so we could list our house quicker. They installed full padding, carpet and wood laminate in a 1650 square foot home in 2 days! When I got the call that they were done I was a bit worried because I thought maybe corners were cut... boy was I wrong! Everything was absolutely pristine! I went through the house with a detailed inspection and found not one error! I've never been so happy to hand over thousands of dollars because I know we got a great deal with integrity and absolute professionalism. It doesn't get better than the folks at Floor Boys. We will be keeping Brian and his folks in our back pocket for as long as they keep their business open.

He brought over a thick sample of coretec flooring that I didn't realize was glued to a piece of wood. See photo. The actual floor is a commercial thin floor which was put over a black plastic on my concrete slab. It is so thin that it doesn't meet the casing or the door jams throughout the whole house. Coretec pro if you google it says it's commercial grade. My invoice has no price per square footage. In my hallway there is some sort of lip that came through. see picture . Do your homework . I would never recommend them

This is a review really for the small business that Carolina Wholesale recommended to me for…read moreinstalling the hardwood floors that I recently purchased from Carolina Wholesale. The two owners of this business, Carolina Quality Floors, do not have a website so I couldn't publish a review for them...so figured I'd go through Carolina Wholesale to do it. As far as Carolina Wholesale, I was very pleased with the rapid delivery of the hand scraped oak hardwood I ordered. I asked them for suggestions on someone to install it and they gave me Dan Allen's phone number. Dan and his partner, Jason Cass, own Carolina Quality Floors (not to be confused with Carolina Quality Flooring which apparently is another business in the area). We wanted to replace the terrible laminate that I had put in over Oak hardwood six years ago (biggest mistake I've ever made). Also wanted to replace the carpeting in our living room and master bedroom. I called Dan and he said Jason would stop out that day to measure the rooms. Jason was there within four hours, measured the house, gave me an estimate which was very competitive. Dan confirmed Jason's estimate the following morning and I ordered the wood on Tuesday afternoon. Dan said they could start the job the following week so as soon as the wood came in they picked it up and brought it out to the house. He checked the humidity of the flooring to see if it was within specs for installing the wood and it wouldn't have to wait a day or so to acclimate to the climate. Humidity was within 1%, so everything looked good. His crew started the job on Tuesday mid-morning. They worked room by room, moving the furniture, ripping out the old laminate and had to remove a duraboard that Lowes had put in (rather than pulling out the nails, Lowes just put a thin board over the previous subfloor - not good). They finished the whole job Friday afternoon. 3 1/2 days to do our living room, dining room, sitting room, hallways, bathroom and master bedroom. They moved all the furniture, put it back in place, installed the cover moulding and stained to match the floor where necessary. We have white moulding in most of the house but around the fireplace and entrance to the kitchen there is a reduction "T' type moulding that goes into our tiled kitchen. We've had a lot of remodels and small business jobs since moving here 13 years ago and this is the best crew we've seen. They arrived on time, were very friendly and each of the workers had a specific job...cutting, laying and hammering the hardwood in place, nailing the hardwood down, and removing debris. They finished our complete lower level in 2 1/2 days. They cleaned up after each day before leaving. Can't complain at all. If you are looking for hardwood or tile I highly recommend these guys.
