Do not recommend I specifically asked the salesman Keith if they used subcontractors. He assured me they did not. But they do. He brought over a thick sample of coretec flooring that I didn't realize was glued to a piece of wood. See photo. The actual floor is a commercial thin floor which was put over a black plastic on my concrete slab. It is so thin that it doesn't meet the casing or the door jams throughout the whole house. Coretec pro if you google it says it's commercial grade. My invoice has no price per square footage. In my hallway there is some sort of lip that came through. see picture . Do your homework . I would never recommend them read more

Kudos to the Floor Boys team for making my dream studio a reality. I knew I wanted a hard wood that wouldn't dent easily. Keith helped me find the right product, spending time in the store and loaning me samples to audition at home. Oscar and his team did a great job with the installation. When Oscar found the original product wasn't milled to spec, he stopped work right away, contacted the office, and they worked with me to find an alternative. The finished floor looks fantastic, and easily moving my studio furniture around (after decades of struggle on carpeting) is a dream come true. read more

Paulo and his crew did a FABULOUS job on our floors!! After a water leak, we needed to redo the flooring of one and a half rooms with the red oak hardwood. We decided to go with FloorBoys. We were fortunate that they had experience in finishing natural wood as well as installing new flooring. We couldn't be happier with the results! The finishing crew (Paulo's Crew) came in and finished the floors, taking meticulous care that the stain matched (perfectly). The job was finished quickly and they listened to our concerns as the work progressed. Thanks to the entire FloorBoys (Bart, Paulo and his crew) for your expertise, guidance and professionalism. Would definitely recommend!!! read more

I had used Floor Boys several times in the past and was always pleased. Unfortunately, this time was a different story. I went into the store and chose the floor. I wanted, gave it to the sales person. He came out and measured and provided me a price however, it did not show me square footage. Because I had had floors replaced in the past with this company, I thought I could trust him. That was my mistake. I was away in New York City when the floors were installed, and when I came back, I was devastated to find that they were not the floor that I chose. I left four messages for someone to call me back -no one ever did. If the task of re-emptying all of those bedrooms and walk-in closets wasn't so daunting, I would've pursued this. Luckily the floors are in the guest area of the house, and I don't see them very often. They are cheap and thin, and obviously a commercial grade. The sales person was dishonest -the management completely disregarded any messages. To add insult to injury, I recommended them to my friend and they gave her an even worse cheap floor and the installers flooded her kitchen because they broke a pipe. Do yourself a favor and don't use this company. read more

Two simple words. Stay away. Floor boys will scam you into purchasing cheap low quality floors. Floors came out terrible. Stay away.

Last week I purchased Vinyl floor planks worth 7k from Floor Boy in Lexington SC. Yesterday, I received the order, they did not match the color which I ordered. I then called the salesperson (Dean Hutto) - during the conversation he said - he 'can't get away from Indians' & called me 'Indian Bastard'. I am deeply disturbed by what happened yesterday (9/18); Still unable to process this insult & prejudice. Why are so many whites so resentful, bitter and hateful again minorities. Unfortunately, all these folks say they "Love God". What kind of religion teaches hate and resentment against fellow humans. I never want to follow such religion. Some people feel we don't deserve to live and prosper? Why so much hate against us. What have we done to deserve this. I never recommend Floor Boys to anyone. read more

Brian and his team are just amazing! We recently purchased a new home and needed to update our old home to list it for sale. After speaking with a multitude of companies and getting quotes ranging from high to unreasonably high to "are you trying to get me to put your kids through medical school?" high we were introduced to Floor Boys and Brian. They saved us time, money and our minds. Brian himself came out immediately and did all of the measurements with minimal guidance. He just knew what to do and left the nonsense at the door. The next day he sent us an itemized quote and gave us a price that was lower than everyone else without us even revealing how much our other quotes were. He beat one flooring company's price by over half! The best part is the high end quote was for the bottom of the line carpet and flooring. Brian quoted us with actual quality products with exceptional warranties. Floor boys came out the following week and even moved the date up for us so we could list our house quicker. They installed full padding, carpet and wood laminate in a 1650 square foot home in 2 days! When I got the call that they were done I was a bit worried because I thought maybe corners were cut... boy was I wrong! Everything was absolutely pristine! I went through the house with a detailed inspection and found not one error! I've never been so happy to hand over thousands of dollars because I know we got a great deal with integrity and absolute professionalism. It doesn't get better than the folks at Floor Boys. We will be keeping Brian and his folks in our back pocket for as long as they keep their business open. read more

We had our new floors installed when we bought our house. The floors didn't look right because they installers cut trim inside the house and left white dust everywhere. The floors were supposed to wipe clean but did not. Floor Boys tried to clean them multiple times but it did not come clean. There is a defect in our flooring and Floor Boys couldn't get the vendor to compensate them so they did NOTHING for us. After a year, we're stuck with floors we're not happy with and they are not working with us at all. No compensation, no vouchers, nothing. DO NOT USE FLOOR BOYS is you want them to stand by the work they do. I will be telling everyone, including real estate agents we know, not to recommend FLOOR BOYS. read more

Floor Boys did a great job! We had received other quotes from other companies but Floor Boys was the only one that really listened to our wants and recommend a choice booth high medium and low priced. We chose the higher priced wood because it was more like what we wanted and was thicker and would wear better. Their installers were excellent; they made sure all the prep was done right and really cared and took pride about the work they did. The installation was done in the estimated time and their cleanup both inside and out was great. Everything was put back as they found it and we are very happy with the results. read more

We had a bad experience with floor boys. They installed flooring in our home and the boards were very poor quality. We pointed this out to them and they tried to tell us it was how the boards were supposed to look, but they were not what we saw in the show room. Finally after hounding them they agreed to ask the company who manufactured the boards if they would replace them and the company agreed that they were not up to standard and replaced them. It was SUCH a pain and floor boys tried to gaslight us the whole way. They also did a sloppy installation overall around the fireplaces and we had to stay on top of them to fix that and make it not look terrible. I am giving them two stars because the final flooring looks fine but the process getting there was not worth going through. They are unprofessional, untrustworthy, and I definitely do NOT recommend. read more

After a complete rebuild of the stairs in our house we searched for someone to finish the red oak. After consulting several contractors we decided to go with FloorBoys. We were fortunate that they had experience in finishing natural wood as well as installing new flooring. We couldn't be happier with the results! The finishing crew (Paulo's Crew) came in and finished the stairs, taking meticulous care that the stair stain matched (perfectly) the tone of the new LVP that they had installed. The job was finished quickly and they listened to our concerns as the work progressed. My wife and I recently moved to the area from Washington DC and the home we purchased needed new carpet and other flooring. My realtor recommended Floor Boys and the process of getting them to come out to the house to measure and listen to what I wanted went smoothly. They worked with me to get the installation completed. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is once the installation was complete, I have not heard from them for any kind of follow up to see if we were satisfied or had any issues. I understand this is a business and they are in it to make money, but I am disappointed with the lack of follow up. read more

Walked into this showroom and was blown away by Brian and the entire staff! I do not recommend this company for hardwood flooring because they are not diligent in following up on their work. The initial installation done in January was relatively good. We were then able to get one follow up visit for some minor aftercare after a few calls, but it took us a few weeks to uncover the rest of the issues. We have been unable to get a final call back and we found this presumed lack of calling us back unacceptable service after the sale. We would be willing to increase our rating if the company showed a willingness to follow up and work with us. If you decide to use this outfit I would recommend not paying final payment until you are allowed a few weeks for the floor to completely seal and sufficient time for finding any issues. read more

We had an appointment with Dean Hutto today at 3:00 to measure and compute the cost for an entire house carpet installation. At 3:10, as he had not arrived for his appointment, we called the store and were told he was with another customer on the floor and was busy We did not receive a call indicating he would be late, which is very disrespectful. We called back to cancel our business with Floor Boys and will not be using them. Mr. Hutto is the General Manager. read more

We cannot say enough good things about Floor Boys. Our salesman (Keith) was very patient with my very picky wife to help her find the perfect flooring to fit her vision. Upon receipt of our flooring, there was a manufacturing issue where the flooring finish did not match the manufacturer's sample in the showroom, and my wife was not happy with the finish on the product that we received. While this was not Floor Boys' fault, Brian at Floor Boys immediately stepped up and made the situation right for us. They came back to our home and picked up the flooring that had the manufacturer's issue, and they told us to find a new one that was right for us and they would match the price while working through the return/refund portion on the back-end with the original manufacturer. This right here is called excellent customer service, which is so important (for the rare instance that there's an issue like we experienced), and unfortunately, this kind of customer service is very hard to find these days. Kudos to the Floor Boys Team for taking such great care of their customers, and we highly recommend anyone else in the market for flooring to give the team at Floor Boys an opportunity to earn your business. read more

I had hired floor boys to treat my hardwoods (cupping) from water intrusion and retile my bath shower floor. and they additionally sand scratches from pets in connecting areas of my home. The floors looked good for several months but started to crown (reverse cupping) after the repair. I found out that crowning was from sanding flooring when it is still wet(high moisture content). Floor boys sanded the floors and never contacted me about the shower tiles after several attempts. Bart looked at the hardwood after repairs and he would take care of crowning hardwood floors asking me if I had more of the original wood. I did and he said he would take care of it. Trying to set it up he states he will replace my additional flooring for $315 but has to charge me 4k to sand the entire room, hallway, office and closet to make it look correct. His mistake of fixing original hardwoods and sanding additional areas for cosmetic reasons cost me $2800 and to redo the wet floor they repaired is going to cost $4315 using my own wood product. Never use them again ever. read more
