The time had come to redo our basement (done in epoxy) and garage (done with enamel polymer)…read more floors. Neither surface held up more than 5 years, even without heavy traffic. I had seen polyaspartic coatings before, which look like stone and appear very durable. Best of all, the previous floors were always slippery when wet, but the texture of the polyaspartic makes slips a distant memory. The temperatures have been hovering around freezing, so I was sure we couldn't get this done this year, and besides the only highly recommended installer in Maine was in Bucksport!! I called, the proprieter, Linwood Bridges, who assured me that he could put it on his busy schedule, even though it meant significant travel to our location. Moreover, he said that, unlike enamel and epoxy, polyaspartic coatings can be applied in the cold, and because there are almost no fumes that need to be ventillated, we were able to keep the windows closed. I had seen the ads and read the reviews, but did they really reflect the products and examples shown? I was still skeptical. This was no easy job, the floors were not level or straight, and I wanted to make them look like real granite when done, so who would have believed that it could be accomplished, on budget, and as quoted, and in record time, with less than three days to completion! As it was fast drying, we were using the floors almost immediately. Linwood and his associate Nicole were professional (they had masks on the whole time they were in our residence), did as they said, showed up on time as promised, and did a superb job. Were the reviews and photos really representative of the work Coastal Concrete Coatings was capable of accomplishing for us and for your job? No. Linwood Bridges is much too down to earth and humble to tell you what he can really do for you. But he is a perfectionist. He so exceeded our greatest expectations, that I still have to go out to the garage daily to marvel on how absolutely amazing the floors look. If you need any concrete surface finished, look no further. You simply cannot get a better product, nor a better installation anywhere.
