It is clean. And it is full of people focused on lifting. I was a bit overwhelmed with the variety of equipment, but that variety is a really good thing. You can find any piece of equipment you have ever used, and if you are not super picky, you never have to wait. Really a nice setup. Chris, the owner, is often present, and seems very available through email and txt. Certainly keeps the place running well, and given his experience, he is surely a valuable resource. I was a little put off by the political and religious signs; I want to work out, not get riled up. But, I never heard any religious or political discussions, and so none of that got in the way of my workout.

As soon as I entered we were politely greeted and asked if we would like a tour of the gym. Levi (one of the owners) came right over and gave my son and I a tour. I'm glad he did because we were able to see and hear all about what the gym has to offer. The apparel was really good looking and great quality. There's a corner for supplements, barbershop inside, lounge area to hang out, sauna, and even a cold plunge (you don't see this in many gyms)!!! Another highlight to the gym was the posing room. YES, flexing and showing off all the gains is a plus in this room. It's a really unique setup that has several lights and mirrors. All the equipment was superb, nicely organized, and very spacious. Really excited to start a membership here!!!

It looks like they took over a warehouse and tried their best to turn it into a gym on a budget but the layout is very awkward. They don't even have a locker room. They're trying to sell you an image more than a quality gym. And if you want a great place to make instagram content, look no further. But there's WAY better gyms out there for a fraction of the price.

As someone gender non-conforming, I feel unwelcome in this space. I was also denied a couples rate because apparently a 3 year age gap between partners is suspicious? Overall, I don't plan on being a member here too much longer. For convenience and classes, it's worth it to me, but barely.

Kristin was our coach for both of my classes and she rocked it. Not only was she encouraging, but her attention to the class was top notch. She focused on safety, and proper form and technique... and she was an eagle eye with it... clearly a lot of coaching experience. Great programming as well, I definitely got my strength and sweat on for sure! Not too sure of all the complaints below here…read more This seems to me like there is a large population of old-timers that have experienced an operational change in the business that they are personally not satisfied with. I'm a Calisthenics athlete, with much experience in a variety of gyms. This is one of the only locations with a Sauna, Steam Room, and two Olympic-sized pools with multiple lanes readily available. Their core equipment is fantastic - there are no bent barbells as mentioned in the reviews below (again, no idea where this is coming from) You are paying to stay healthy. So focus on staying healthy. As far as the staff - they are young, but attentive and kind. I myself am 30 and I have literally never had a problem with them. If I have locked myself out of a locker, need education on the available personal trainers, or if I (like one of the posts below) mention a ***particular*** (1/1000) towel hasn't been washed properly - they take it right off my hands. I personally love Genesis and the staff as an athlete who needs a local place to hit all muscle groups. Do not let the below comments from individuals below who probably couldn't pick up a toothpick sway you from a fantastic center. As far as cancellation goes, I have heard nothing but that is an easy process. "Predatory" does not describe the cancellation process at Genesis. What I find remarkable is that Genesis Health Clubs Miramont South continues to ask members for more money while simultaneously expecting them to tolerate broken equipment, maintenance delays, and facility issues that seem to have become the norm rather than the exception. Your response actually highlights the problem. You mention having thousands of members, which means Genesis has access to substantial revenue. That makes the persistent state of disrepair even more difficult to understand, not easier. The fact that your defense is essentially "we are big and things take time" is astonishing. As for the spin room, claiming that members are providing "great feedback" is frankly insulting, and either profoundly out of touch or intentionally dishonest. Either management is completely disconnected from member experience, or it is choosing to ignore it. Anyone who regularly uses that room knows exactly how miserable those conditions can be. Members are not blind, and they are not stupid. We know the difference between a problem being fixed and management pretending it has been fixed. What is most frustrating is the complete lack of accountability. Every problem comes with an explanation. Every complaint comes with an excuse. Every concern is met with a canned response explaining why members should lower their expectations and continue paying anyway. At some point, Genesis needs to stop blaming parts shortages, policies, and circumstances, and start taking responsibility for the quality of the product it is selling. The reality is that Genesis charges premium prices while delivering an increasingly substandard experience. I no longer believe management is interested in hearing criticism, only in defending decisions that have already been made and in complete denial of the state of the facility.
