The assigned escrow officer…read moredidn't read anything sent to her and was less than candid when confronted about her lack of communication and response. She then emailed the parties that Placer Title couldn't open escrow because "the volume right now is preventing me to spend the additional time for this order." Beyond reflecting an attitude more than a stone's throw short of professionalism, the escrow officer's response is entertaining for a couple of reasons. First, actually reading documents is apparently "additional time" and going above and beyond for the escrow officer- she clearly had not read anything in the two weeks that the agents and I had been sending her information. Second, the escrow officer sent her email after we had decided to open escrow at another company (specifically based upon her conduct and attitude), the new escrow had been opened and sale documents exchanged. I have used other offices of PTC and have nothing but good things to say about their level of service. I would not recommend PTC's Fair Oaks office under any circumstance based upon my experience.

Terrible experience…read more I reached out multiple times beforehand (via text, phone, and email) to clarify rental requirements and received no response. After applying, we were told we would not qualify for any of their properties solely because I have only rented from family in the past, despite my co-applicant having over 12 years of solid rental history. They refused to consider our combined income, combined credit, a co-signer, proof of significant savings, or even the option of a larger security deposit. There was no willingness to review our application holistically. This was especially frustrating given that we have applied with other property managers without issue and have never been told that my rental history alone would automatically disqualify us. Based on this experience, it felt like applications were being denied without fair consideration. I also have concerns that our denial may be related to my co-applicant having an ESA animal. I would strongly discourage others from wasting time or application fees with this company.

I do want to highlight that Adam was great, he was responsive and got back to us in a timely manner. However, he isn't able to assist with property-specific inquiries, so we were referred to Jesse multiple times. Despite being told on more than one occasion that Jesse would reach out, at one point even the same day, we never heard back and were left waiting days without any follow-up. At this point, I can't imagine the amount of loss occurring due to this kind of lack of communication. Since then, we've moved on and are now working with another property management company and are in the process of signing. Overall, this experience has been disappointing, especially when we were genuinely interested in moving forward.
