My only "complaint" was that the bookstore hosted a local author signing the night before and while they had the third book in stock (signed!), they were sold out of the first in the series, which I would have bought had it been in stock. Still, this is such a charming and well curated bookstore. I would definitely return!

From the moment we walked in, I felt like we were being watched the entire time. As a single mom shopping alone with young children, it was incredibly uncomfortable. For context, my children were behaving appropriately. They were not running around the store or touching merchandise. My 5-year-old simply had a pen in his hand while we were shopping. The final straw was when I asked a sales associate if there was an issue with us. She got down to my 5-year-old's level and pretended to punch him. Why would you pretend a punch my five-year-olds to wind him up when you're obviously watching me because you're judging. She appeared to be in a management position, which made the interaction even more upsetting. We still made it to the checkout line, and she continued watching us. At no point did she apologize or acknowledge how uncomfortable the situation had become. I left the earrings and didn't want to purchase. It's frustrating that a children's store could make a parent feel so unwelcome it was actually my two year old that depends. Shopping with kids isn't always easy, but families deserve kindness and understanding--not judgment. I left feeling embarrassed, disappointed, and certain that I will not be returning.

JT Blu was the perfect stop! Right around the corner and in the middle of the Leavenworth "action", this boutique has clothes appropriate for ages 10 - 45 I would venture to say. Some gorgeous sweaters (high quality, unique), cute little dresses and tops. I really wanted a jumpsuit and a skirt from here but the $85 price tag held me back. The biggest score though, were the loose jeans here. In simpler sizes (S, M, L) it was easy to find what fit me - and so, so comfortable!! Much more willing to pay $85 for jeans I suppose. Walked out with 3 items plus a trinket for my mom. Great experience with customer service as well. Glad that Leavenworth has something for a girl or woman if she doesn't pack appropriately! :)
