I reached out about a GSX‑8R listed on Marketplace and was instructed by the listing to contact Blake directly for pricing and financing. From the very beginning, I asked clear, reasonable questions and stated multiple times that I wanted everything in writing before a phone call. Instead of answers, my messages were repeatedly read and reacted to, but completely ignored for days at a time. The only thing I received were pictures -- not a single one of my actual questions was answered. I followed up multiple times because I was genuinely interested and had funds ready to buy a new bike. Each time, I could see my messages were read, sometimes "hearted," yet no response came. That is not a communication issue -- that is choosing not to respond. Eventually, Blake explained that he was on vacation in Mexico and claimed he passed my information to his sales manager, Broc, to handle the sale. Despite that, I still was not contacted for days. No text, no voicemail, no email. I was called once while I was at work, but no voicemail was left, so I couldn't even confirm who the call was from. Communication still did not improve. The only reason Broc eventually reached out at all was because I contacted a different YoungPowersports location myself. Only then did anyone seem to realize I was a serious buyer. That shows a complete lack of internal follow‑through and accountability. What makes this even more frustrating is that I am younger than both Blake and Broc, yet I communicated more professionally than either of them. I was respectful, clear, patient, and persistent -- and still ignored. I literally just wanted to buy a new bike. I had the money ready. This should have been an easy sale. Blake eventually apologized and admitted the service was poor, but an apology doesn't undo days of being ignored, wasted time, or a lost sale. If this is how YoungPowersports treats someone actively trying to give them money, I would be very concerned about how they handle customers after the sale. This experience shows poor communication, poor management oversight, and a lack of professionalism from both Blake and Broc. Serious buyers should be aware that even with money in hand, you may be ignored, reacted to instead of answered, and left to chase down basic information yourself. read more

My tire on my Honda Goldwing blew out on the freeway express lane. Called around to local motorcycle shops looking for a tire that fit. Found Powersports XL, and they had a tire in stock and they would wait for me to get towed and get the tire installed and get me on my way. After tear down, it turned out to be a bigger job then expected. The tech stayed late and went through everything. Found the issues and the service guy, Matt Dyches started making calls looking for parts. He found them on the east coast. The parts were ordered the next morning for a one day shipment to Utah. Needless to say, my trip was a bust. I checked into a local hotel for a few days until my bike could get fixed and I could get back on the road. This happened on a Monday afternoon and Young Powersports XL had my bike repaired and washed for me by Thursday mid morning. They sent a car to pick me up at my hotel and bring me to the shop so I could be on my way. They knew that I was not from SLC. I was just passing through. They went above and beyond to get me on the road again. Thanks for everything Matt Dyches and Quinn Abrath. You guys exceeded my expectations and I could not be more thrilled with your service department. You guys are awesome! read more

Was texting back-and-forth with Stacy, BDC who was helping me to get scheduled to come in to check out the bike I was interested in. I show up, the employees were trying to locate the bike and were unable to find it even though Stacy said it was there and available. I was told the bike was in their other building location or something like that and was told they'd contact me when they get the bike in. I get a call the next day from someone who I wasn't even working with, stating that unfortunately the bike has been sold but don't worry, they have the same bike, just higher cc and they asked when I came come by to check it out. I informed them I am not legally allowed to ride a bike that high in cc's since my license I got is limited to under the amount they were offering. The rep Braxton then continued to say "well you can always go test for higher cc". I'm telling you when I say I wish you could've seen my face when he said that lol. I replied, nah I'm good and comfortable with what I'm at and I'm not interested in going to test for higher. The audacity was crazy and I'm honestly so annoyed with my experience here. This was my first time ever experiencing a Young Powersports location and the service was the worst to be honest. Stacy wasted my time having me drive all the way over there for nothing and it was weird for Braxton to tell me to go get tested for a higher license. That's not a way to sell to someone in my opinion. Literally just confused what I even experienced at this point. And it sucks cause this was my first attempt at going to get a motorcycle and now I feel more hesitant than ever to attempt again when I was already hesitant to do so in the first place. This dealership was amazing. We are on a 2800 mile roadtrip and my bike died in Utah today. Called up this place and had it towed there. T in service helped me and he was amazing. Took my Honda talon side by side to fix a intermittent shock light that would come on. My vehicle only had a little over 900 miles on it. They had my side by side for 3 weeks before they got to it. Long story short, I bought the OEM part they said it needed. When they put that $200 part in, they then said it needed a new ECM because it was not communicating with the steering part. I told them to button it up because I was going to use it the following weekend. I would install the ECM myself when I get the part instead of the $90 they wanted to charge me to take out and put back 3 bolts and a connector. The part number they had put on the work order for the ECM was different than the number on the one that was on my vehicle. I was able to find a guaranteed used one for 1/2 the price that matched the number on the ECM that was on my Talon. When I got my Talon back, it was supposed to be ready for me to use. Instead, it had fasteners loose, wires hanging down and my horn was hanging by its wire. The cover for the wires under the driver's seat wasn't in place among other things. I fixed those things they overlooked putting it back together. I took it to another Honda shop on a Thursday. They said it would probably be around a week or week and a half before they could get to it. The very next day (Friday) that had it in the shop and it was ready for me to pickup on Saturday. The Problem they found? A loose or bad ground. They fixed that and set the parameters for the new ECM I had put in and it was fixed for $200 verses the $740 Young had charged me plus the parts I bought that they said it needed which was a little over $400 when all it really needed was a better connection on a ground wire!!! So, it cost me $1100 for repairs I didn't need. I can only guess that they have an inexperienced technician who doesn't have the knowledge of coming across problems of this type before and they just go by a flow chart. If he had been experienced, the first thing he should have checked was for a bad ground which seems to be a common problem with these Honda Talons. Sometimes the factory fastens a ground wire in a spot where there is powder coating, and the ground doesn't make a good connection. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Young Powersports anytime soon! It was a total rip off! I think they should pay me for finishing their job and paying somebody else who knew what they were doing to get it fixed right and, in a lot less time! read more

Husband and I went in to buy 2 bikes one for him and one for me. Of coarse husband being a man he was helped first with his bike and in the process of helping him the salesman did nothing but knock down the bike I was getting. Really had nothing nice to say. I get that he was trying to sell my husband his bike but honestly if you have nothing good to say about any bike you are selling you should probably not be a salesmen for them. I had to go sit in the car because I was tired of hearing him down grade the bike I wanted. Well he sold my husband the bike he wanted and he could have sold 2 bikes. I won't buy my bike there. My husband got good service there but again I don't think they take women seriously. Women ride bikes too and maybe that is something he will learn down the road as I think he was just learning. Anyway. They sold a bike but lost a sale on the 2nd one that would have been purchased. read more

bad experience throughout the entire purchasing process of my Royal Enfield motorcycle. their communication and customer service was truly awful. after purchasing, I brought my bike in for its first service which was essentially just an oil change and was charged almost $600 for this basic service. this is triple what other Himalayan 450 owners reported paying for the same service at RE dealerships elsewhere in the country. this service appointment experience also consisted of more poor communication and poor customer service. this will be the last time I buy a bike from young powersports and also the last time I book any form of service appointment through them for my bike. read more

Had a great experience with the service department when I brought my Yamaha R1 in for service. My bike has had some issues so I've brought it to them multiple times and each time they've been very kind and helpful. Had some issues with communication between the service department and the GM in the beginning so my bike sat with nothing being done for a couple weeks, but once it was figured out they took care of me and got the work done quickly. Matt did a great job keeping me updated and being patient with me. And Kevin (though not there anymore) did a great job diagnosing and fixing my machine. read more

These guys are crazy. I pull 2 forks off and take them in for new fork seals. 2 hours of labor @ $185/hr. Original quote was for $435 which I thought was about 100% too high. I've had forks repaired for years at different places. I walk in to pick up and they ring me at $580. Absolutely nuts for $29 forks seals and $30bucks of oil. Okay, so add another $100 parts just to be on the safe side and you should still be under a cool $300. Holy crap. These guys have to be out of their minds. This isn't a Ferrari dealership. Guess they have to pay for the new building somehow. Glad I could make that partial rent payment for you Young. I'm telling all my buddies! Take it to Young. They got your back alright! and your damn wallet. Too bad you can't get a good service for a decent price anymore. Let's gouge our customers to death over the small stuff so we can only focus on the big. I make damn good money too and can buy anything I want in that place, but there's no way I can tolerate this type of gouging. I even asked them, "You feel good about this price?" if so, I'll pay it, but I'm telling everyone you guys seriously ripped me off good. Unbelievable. By the way $185/hr is about $385k annual salary. Guaranteed the mechanic who worked on these isn't making over $25/hr. How about a reasonable shop rate for a reasonable job. Way to tarnish my sport that I've known and loved for so many years. read more

This place is dishonest and very greedy! I was totally taken advantage of at this location! Also do not take your machine here (Bountiful) for service. They will damage your machine and they will not take any responsibility. I have a new 2023 Ninja 400 and a service tech at the Bountiful location stripped some screws while trying to remove them. It's been over a month and my messages are being ignored regarding a repair. read more

Recently bought a 2023 ZX-6R from YPC. The sales experience was great as Rafa was probably the chillest sales agent I've ever met. After purchasing I realized that the warranties I'd added on weren't really worth the price they were asking after reading all of the fine details in the paperwork. I reached out to their finance team and followed all of their steps to receive a refund on select warranties. After waiting the "mandatory" 8 weeks to receive a refund I noticed that only 3 of the 4 refunds I'd requested actually made it back to me. I then called their finance team after waiting another week to see what was going on with my final refund. They informed me that it should've gone through and they would be getting back to me once they had investigated further. After a week of hearing nothing I gave them another call and was met with another "I'll give you a call back". This process repeated about 3 times. After finally being told that I had requested the refund months ago they started processing it again which would take yet another 8 weeks. After yet another "mandatory" 8 weeks I checked for a refund and saw nothing. Calling in again I was told that it should've gone through and that the Accounts Payable team would be contacted directly. Another week passed and I got a call telling me that the AP team hadn't returned any messages yet. After another week (we're almost at 6 months now since I originally requested the refund) I call in again and speak to Brock. Brock assured me that he was on the case and even gave me his personal phone number. Within a week he had the head of AP processing my refund and after another week of processing it was back in my account. The only problem this time was that they only refund $333.99 of the $399. Calling in for probably the 8th time now about this issue I was informed that they had to prorate the refund from when I originally purchased the bike to when I requested the refund. Yet in the paperwork it states that if you request a refund within 30 days it will be fully refunded free of charge. At no point during this 6 month process I was ever offered any sort of compensation for the inconvenience or waste of time and anytime I expressed frustration or stated how unhappy I was I was met with "I'm sorry you feel that way" with the exception of Brock. Not sure if this is how all of your customers are treated or if the Young Automotive Group is that stingy with their money but I'll never return and if anybody asks me I'll be sure to let them know to never buy a vehicle here. read more
