Donnie is one of the best to deal with in Utah. He's honest, friendly and I would take any of my machines to him without hesitation.

They fixed up my ATV last winter that hadn't been started in many, many years. Donnie thought it would need a new fuel pump and it would cost over a grand. Well they were completely honest and were able to repair it without the costly repair. Win win and Donnie saved me a lot of money when he could have fooled me and said he had replaced the fuel pump etc... Highly recommend them! read more

D&K has outstanding customer service. When you walk into the front doors they will great you right away and make you feel welcome. I don't go to any other mechanic shop now other then D&K. They have very fair prices and can help you almost 90% of the time. If you go to D&K you will have the honor of meeting Donnie who is the owner of the store. Donnie is a great guy and he is always happy to have a conversation with you and help you out with any of your needs! I highly recommend you go to D&K rather then wasting your time with other mechanics who have high rates and will maybe give you half the amazing customer service D&K has. read more

Super friendly and knowledgeable! They got me in last minute for an oil change on my motorcycle. They understand that you don't want your bike in the shop for weeks so they don't set up an appointment until they have every part they need. Great shop and great guys. Only qualm is it was about $20 more than the dealership but i think its worth it for the customer service they deliver. read more

Clearly everyone is onboard with this shop being the greatest - which is why I went there. However, my experience is contrary to those reviews. I've had a motorcycle under my butt for nearly 40 years in one form or another. I'm not too green here. Emailed in advance to inquire whether the work I was looking to have done was in their ability. Was assured so, but received no cost estimate, just adamant that they were closed on Sunday and Monday. So, I brought it in Saturday, explained everything again, this time to Alex, who apparently is very new. Alex said they would order fork seals and if need be brake pads (as they sometimes get contaminated and need replaced) and that I'd get a call early next week. All reasonable. Never received a call all week (no biggie) but called on Saturday just to check in on progress. It hadn't been up on the rack yet. Again, no estimate given. I wasn't rushed and didn't press, but later that day I get a call back telling me they replaced the fork seals and breaks. I asked about the clutch and was told nothing was wrong, but I was inquiring about when it was sitting cold, not presently. But here's where things went wrong. I knew when I took the bike in that the tires were at their end, but they had a LOT more wear on the left side than on the right. I've had four sets of tires on this bike and never saw this level of uneven wear. So, before I changed the tires I wanted to know if there might be something wrong to cause it. What I received as an explanation was completely implausible for the level of uneven wear. Apparently the mechanic told Alex that the wear was from scuffing the tire when it was put over onto the kickstand! Now, I would have accepted an explanation of the fork seals being bad caused it, or many of the prolific explanations you can get from a casual internet search, but not this lame one. I said I don't buy it, but they were insistent. No other possibilities were offered. Having lost confidence, I said to reassemble without tires. It's at this point where Donnie's name comes up. I hadn't talked to him to now, but although he's on another line I can hear him through the phone. Went from incredulous to condescending in about 2 seconds - a true sign that it means more to him to be right than it does to serve his customers. And he cant talk to me, but insists Alex repeat the whole thing, like I'm daft. I don't trust anything that smells this rife with ignorance. Don't get me wrong, it's not a sin to be ignorant, but it is to be insistent on it. We attempted to back and forth over text and voicemail, but couldn't come together. One of his VM relayed the final bill of 518, and that seemed steep for a fork seal job and front brakes. I texted that I wanted the parts to inspect and that I wanted a cost breakdown sent in advance. Went on Wednesday to pick this up the bike on the way to work. Donnie was there and initially pleasant, but as soon as he insisted on the same story of kickstand scuffing, and my rejection of that falacy, he became antagonistic. Here's where the chest pounding of "this shop has 80 years combined experience", and we've been to Honda school, and a series of credentials why I should accept this BS. Ultimately, after agreeing to disagree, he still was upset (hurt maybe) enough to repeat himself again. I responded that in the time between Saturday and today that I'd done a decent amount of research on the subject myself and found some pretty good references (none of which mention kickstand scuffing) and was willing to share them with him. This caused another rant, and THEN he starts giving me the other reasons for tire wear that I'd just talked about seconds ago. Maybe the conversation triggered a memory from Honda school. Regardless, he would not concede that kickstand scuffing was anything less than the prime contributor to my tire wear. It unfortunately got a little personal with him making assumptions and I made a few back, but we returned to civility once more. I actually emphasize with him a bit because I've got customers of my own and when it goes down badly, you know. But, it gets a little more interesting. I requested my old parts. I wanted to see how much oil was on the old pads. They made sure the break pads were saturated with oil by putting them in the same bag with the fork parts. Yep, they're full. But there was only one pair of pads in the bag. Inquiring where the other set was, he fumbled around a bit and was told only one pair was changed. That's great but there's two pairs on the invoice plus the labor. He took the one pair off but didn't adjust the labor. So, just beware of this little trick. Whether it was intentionally shiesty or Donnie was just beyond flustered, I cannot say, but it's bad business either way. So, I won't be back. I'm sure that they will have a stream of happy customers willing to accept their rubbish, but not this one. read more
