Dr. Marcie Young was absolutely amazing--so patient and gentle, and she took the time to explain everything in a way our child could easily understand. You can truly tell she loves what she does and genuinely cares about her patients. She even took our son in during her lunch hour due to a very busy holiday schedule, which meant so much to us--especially since he was having an issue with his top two teeth. She even helped calm me down, as I was probably more nervous than my child! Our son actually enjoyed going to the dentist, which says everything. I love this office! I have a 6 yr old son who enjoys coming here for his cleanings (the atmosphere, TVs, and waiting room which is super quick). We used to live in Delray, but we recently relocated to West Palm Beach. Dr Marcie repaired my sons broken permanent tooth and did beautiful natural work. She is so sweet and very patient, and very thorough. All of the ladies at the front are super nice as well. I will be continuing to come here, regardless of the distance, as we feel comfortable here! I'm pretty sure after this review Marcie Young will have her friends flood it with 5 stars. We were already attacked on Facebook by her friends for leaving an honest review. Calling my wife a maniac and trying to slander her character. Overall our interaction with Marcie Young has been horrible and a very negative experience! My daughter had a scheduled appointment for dental work. There was a misunderstanding about what needed to be done. When we tried clearing up the confusion, Marcie requested a face to face meeting. This was personally my first time ever meeting Marcie, my wife handles the majority of appointments. While in the meeting, Marcie became annoyed and irritated by our questions. I noticed anytime we spoke she rolled her eyes and belittled my wife. Accused her of being incapable of communicating or comprehending; she took zero responsibility for the misunderstanding. My wife pointed out that she seemed annoyed and she replied "I am". I still can't wrap my head around how everything was handled so poorly. Why did Marcie become irritated with our questions and concerns? It's her job to clear up any confusion a parent might have. There was miscommunication from HER office on what needed to be done at the scheduled appointment. Overall our priority is our daughter. So despite Marcies rude behavior we kept the appointment. The meeting, surprisingly, ended up on what I thought was to be good terms, but apparently I'm bad at reading a room. The next day I get a call from Marcie saying she does not feel comfortable with the relationship and would no longer see my daughter. She obviously had a problem with my wife considering she called me instead. My wife confused with the decision wanted to speak with Marcie personally, so went to the office. When my wife walked in she was not treated kindly. My wife expressed her frustration and requested to speak with Marcie. The receptionist Chrissy very rudely said the dentist was with patients and my wife would need to schedule a meeting. My wife declined the offer and said she would just wait considering our daughters appointment was the next day. Chrissy then proceeded to call the police on my wife. My wife just wanted an explanation. Worst part, our 6 year old daughter was witnessing all of this! Chrissy than proceeded to laugh and make fun of my wife making her cry. It is disturbing to hear what took place. My wife had every right for concern. Our daughter has an abscess tooth that needs to be removed. Marcie thankfully did eventually end up speaking with my wife but not until after the abusive behavior from the front office. She told my wife that after the meeting she just didn't feel comfortable proceeding with the plan. She felt like we didn't "trust" her. Marcie also said she felt like we were mad at her. My wife told her. WE DID TRUST HER (that's why we kept the appointment) and we weren't mad at her. (No reason to be mad). This real issues was, my wife after the meeting filled out a text message review. My wife gave the encounter a 2 out of 5. The automated text asked: how could we do better? My wife is very honest and replied "Not roll your eyes and tell parents your annoyed because they needed clarification on a procedure". Marcie didn't like that response, even though it was the truth and decided to cancel our daughters appointment. Despite knowing our daughter is in pain and has an infected tooth in her mouth. Also finding a new dentist and establishing a relationship can take months. Our daughter doesn't have months! Marcie had the nerve to tell my wife she was being aggressive. Aggressive? Or concerned? You just had your employees call the police on my wife! Marcie said her receptionist Chrissy claimed my wife was cursing. That was a lie. If my wife was the "maniac" your friends claimed her to be then why cancel the 911 call? Why still meet with my wife in an enclosed office? My wife was confused and concerned. You just cancelled a very important procedure that needs to be done. You cared more about a misunderstanding and a 2 star review than you did MY child. Dr. Marcie doesn't like being questioned or told she made an error. She also didn't like when we gave her a 2 out of 5 for our meeting. Her actions clearly show what drives her. Painting my wife out as a crazed maniac that lies is very unprofessional on her side. This didn't just come out of nowhere. If Marcie would have only handled her dislike for my wife like a professional than I wouldn't be writing this review. Hopefully she learns from this. read more

Wow. No wonder my daughter in law drives from South Boca to take her kids here. I took my granddaughter who was complaining of a sore tooth. It was my first time there. The layout is amazing and so many amenities, including an iPad station and TVs on the ceiling so kids can watch their favorites while the Doctor works on them. Wow. Where do I start? Breaking news: it's possible for your kids to have FUN at the dentist. Located across from Bedner's, this office is gorgeous, modern and beautifully designed. Staff is friendly and warm. Here's what our first visit looked like: My girls each got their photo taken for their new profile and were welcomed back to brush their teeth with Dr. Marcy. After brushing in sinks that were nicer than my own bathroom sinks, Dr Marcy applied a blue substance on their teeth and asked them to rinse. The girls were able to see pink areas, which indicated places they needed to brush more and saw purple spots, which indicated places that may have been neglected longer. The colors and blue mouth intrigued them. They were then given new tooth brushes (astonishing variety) and learned how to properly brush and floss with the right techniques (wrapping floss around fingers) they practiced on dinosaur dolls. What a smart education! During the cleaning, my kiddos got to choose from a MENU of 32 different flavor pastes from cupcake to chocolate to watermelon (my youngest daughter's fav). As they lay down, they watched Sofia the First on the TVs on the ceiling and got glasses to help ward off the light used to see their little teeth. After X-rays, we got to see the teeth in films. Both of my daughters were looking great but they appeared at risk for cavities between teeth. Dr marcy suggested I lay them down in bed each night to make flossing easier. Great tip. It was exciting for my youngest to see that her baby teeth on top were so close to falling out. Dr marcy slipped me some tooth fairy sparkle to dust around here night of the pickup. Cool idea! The girls got "vitamins" on their teeth and the. Two coins to get prizes dispensed. The girls felt proud and I felt educated about what to expect and when... I didn't realized my oldest child was about to lose more teeth. Fabulous experience, fun for parents and kids, beautiful environment and lots of rewards and reinforcement for learning. We were never rushed. In the contrary, the office became the most relaxing part of my day. Dr marcy's bed side manner is incredible. She has a special way with children and is so patient. read more

Being a first time mom, I find myself critically reading reviews for everything and I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but I was SO impressed with Dr. Young and her staff that I wanted to leave this review in hope that it helps other first time parents. I took my 2 year old son to Dr. Young for his first dental visit and everyone from the front desk staff to the hygienist to Dr. Young herself were over the top amazing. So friendly and you could just feel the good energy of the office. I was nervous about how my son would do, but the hygienist was so patient with him and showed him exactly everything she was going to be doing so that he was never afraid. They even had a TV on the ceiling where he got to watch Mickey Mouse. They gave him a little lion and toothbrush to hold the entire time so that he could "clean the lion's teeth" at the same time he was getting his cleaned. It was such a great experience for my son! It was important to me that he have a good experience his first time as I do not want him to grow up afraid of going to the dentist and I am so thankful this office gave him that experience.
