I recently wrote up a Review of how great my experience has at the Jacaranda location with the Training I have received this far by the facility's Professional Trainer Hallie. I've learned so much already and we've only just begun the Program they offer which I of course immediately said "Sign Me Up!" to the Manager of the facility! My wife, Professional Interior Design and Color Specialist, asked me to also provide a Review in her behalf of her experience at YouFit Jacaranda. She has trained with David, a Professional Trainer with years of experience. You know when David is at the facility training one his many clients there. Just look for a guy with the YouFit Trainer T-shirt wearing very colorful 'tennis' shoes. Different brightly-colored tennis shoes each day! One of his distinguishing trademarks. My wife loved training with David and is looking towards getting into returning to the gym and signing up for more training with David. I know this is a rather lengthy Review but we believe that this YouFit Jacaranda location deserves 'more stars' Reviews providing more exposure for the excellent training being received by their Professional Trainers. this review is not about the gym it's self or the staff I have had a membership since early 2025 the staff is great and met a lot of nice people equipment is clean and definitely got a lot of use out of the gym but I have been paying for a premium membership nothing so premium about it. i was told cancellation with being a premium member was I could cancel any time without fees. I've been trying to cancel since jan 2026 and now have been hit with annual fee 60 dollars a service charge of 23 dollars and a standard fee of 36 dollars with in feb 2026 called them today to re cancel and have been informed I will be charged another 36 dollar fee in march 2026 a total of 160 in one month. was told they couldn't cancel in the club I'm a member at I have to call abc fitness group. and then they told me there's nothing they can do cause it's an agreement they have with the youfit club im a member with I told them those sent the agreements I've agreed to that I've been paying for a "premium membership". they said sorry is there anything else I can help you with ? read more

Purchased a monthly membership for my father which he used for many years. At 89 he could no longer go. Despite showing up in person in December of 2024 to cancel the account, plus our making multiple calls subsequently to the gym, they continue to charge my credit card. Only after I engaged the credit card company did this stop, only to now get threatening messages, as others have noted, from Aldous and Associates. This is shameful -will continue to alert others to these predatory practices. read more

I was very nervous moving to the area and finding a new gym. Coming from Dallas I had been pretty spoiled, but I have to say finding youfit was a pleasant surprise. I'm going to get the cons out of the way pretty quickly- yes it's small and I do wish they had a second squat rack. It does get busy however I'm always able to still get a good workout in and I have only had to wait for equipment once. With all that being said.... You can't beat the price and the staff is always very friendly. It's clean and it has what you need to get a good workout in. The energy in the gym is very good too, I was happy to see other people who like to train hard. That's definitely something that can make or break your workout in my opinion. read more

As a geriatrician, I am challenged every day with advocating for older adults that are taken advantage of by some system. I am now compelled to advise caution to all older adults who are currently with You Fit Gyms, in Venice, Florida, to be conscientious of its practices--especially around membership cancellation. In December, 2024, my 89 year old father-in-law, who had been a member of this gym for years, told the front desk that his health had changed, he was moving back to Massachusetts, and he wanted to cancel his membership. He left the gym with the understanding that his membership would be cancelled. In April, 2025, we realized that there was still a monthly membership charge coming from You Fit. I called the Venice, Florida branch myself, and a staff member told me that by contract, there was '90 days of ongoing payments once the membership was cancelled'. She could not locate the account on the computer, so she said, "it must have already been deleted already". In June, 2025, we saw that there was still a monthly charge, I called the branch again, and I was told that there was no evidence that the account had been cancelled, it was still active, and I would need to call ABC Fitness, the billing company, to cancel--they could not do so from the branch. I called ABC fitness, whose customer service is out-sourced, and was told that I could cancel now, but I would owe You Fit money to do so. I called my credit card company, told them the story, and filed a 'fraud' complaint in order to stop payments. I received multiple calls each week from ABC Fitness--an automated message from 'Eric Riley' (not a real person)--to urgently call about my account. I did call, explained all of the above, and was told 'we're sorry, but you owe money now'. Yesterday, I was contacted by Aldus and Associates, the collection agency, to pay $118.80. Can you imagine an older adult trying to maneuver through this process, unable to make change, and now experiencing the manipulation of a collection agency and a threat to his/her credit? We will pay the $118.80, as we are otherwise powerless in this situation, but I will work to ensure, with opportunities such as Yelp Reviews, that You Fit gyms, in Venice, Florida, does not take advantage of another older adult. read more

Re: Venice, Florida YouFit over-billing! BEWARE! I have contacted the Assistant Manager (Dan) and other Venice gym employees regarding my membership several times regarding a billing issue. I switched from a personal membership to a United Health Care plan in January of this year (2023) and I confirmed that several days later while at the gym. Due to "an employee's error, who no longer works here" (Dan), YouFit continued to charge my debit account from February thru August, when United Health Care should have been charged for my membership. I was told by the Assistant Manager that although it was a YouFit error, that they would not refund my money for those months. I placed a block on my account with my Credit Union to prevent further charges from YouFit and later closed that account. I then began receiving threatening text messages from Aldous & Associates (a debt-collector) that they would affect my credit-rating (828) if I did not pay $108 to YouFit. I notified YouFit Corporate Headquarters, the Better Business Bureau and United Health Care of this injustice, without any response from YouFit to correct their error. A United Health Care representative called me and said that the personnel at YouFit were very uncooperative and a "red-flag" will be attached to YouFit gyms. I will place appropriate negative reviews with the media, etc, if YouFit does not notify Aldous & Associates to desist with their texted threats regarding my credit-rating. I'm on the road a lot and all I look for in a gym is that it's clean and an ample selection of equipment for the size of the gym. I've been training for over 30 years and have competed so I know a decent gym when I see one. I only paid 10.00 as a visitor today and I would've the normal 20.00 guest fee. It's not the biggest gym for it's size it does have well kept machines and it was clean. The people at the front desk were extremely pleasant. Not sure what people are expecting for cheap membership fee or how many machines they need but if I lived local I would train here. read more

I've been going to YouFit Jacaranda Venice for about two years. Why? Convenience/location & Silver Sneakers period. When I first joined I asked if Fox news was include in there cable package, the answer yes. First time on a machine I searched through the cable offerings I scrolled the channels looking for Fox. I found the station but it was frozen. Didn't think much about it. The following two or three trips to the gym, same story. I started wondering why all the other channels where Ok to the exclusion of Fox. I inquired about it, I was told they where addressing the problem with the provider. A week later I came in found Fox and it was up and running. That only lasted three days. Next time in I could not find Fox at it's previous assigned channel frozen or other wise, it disappeared totally. For two or three weeks no Fox channel I complained. Next time in I found Fox working although they moved it to a different channel, that lasted maybe a week then down again for a month. Up again for 2 to seven days then down for a month , over and over again. No problems with any other stations only Fox. I asked whats going on? I was told again "they're working on it, it's the providers fault! That has been the case for over a year and a half. At this point I have to think it's deliberate. Today I searched the internet looking for there Mission statement this is what I found. ...... I was told they parted ways with the existing cable company and were looking into other cable providers. Well, that's now been over a month! Let me ask you the reader. Where you ever unhappy with your cable company, did you let them go, how long did it take to find a competitor? I don't know about you, but when I was unsatisfied with a cable company I already did the research before letting them go. The very next day my new company had me up and running! So I have issues here. My first concern about Fox has led me to the conclusion that they are Woke and Fox News always being down was deliberate. Now I have a second issue. Cheap or exploitation? There are machines I use. Sometimes things break down. But there are pieces of equipment (and some are in short supply) that stay "Out Of Order" for months. Now these machines for the most part are mechanical not very sophisticated. Why does it take so long for repair? A sink is down a urinal down. Are they cheap, broke, or just profiteering? read more

received a letter from a lawyer threatening me if I don't pay my bill in which they added another $100 that they will now mess with my almost perfect credit rating this is insane being I only wanted to try this exercise place before I signed up for whatever time that they offered after it was over this Youfit company will not leave me & my family alone , when my bill was $132 the girl at the Jackaranda office did put a note in the system that I wanted out the main purpose for yet another review is in making sure if you want to sign up with them let them explain word for word all the guidelines of there very very long contract, I made the mistake in not doing so now I'm getting harassed on a monthly basis . Another issue is work added more hours because of manpower shortage the Venice office didn't care or wanted to hear it I have been in customer service all my life never have I come across such disregard for their customers. They are a lot of good reviews on here it's from mainly customers who work out all the time & just want to exercise which is great all I wanted was a trial why would I sign up for a year without trying it first in the meantime I did get hit with the extra work hours. read more

I have been using the Venice location for two years. Overall the equipment is well-maintained, the location is clean, and the trainers are very helpful. Ample selection of free weights, often hard to find in an elderly community. I lift heavy and this place fulfills my need. At $13 a month this place is a steal. read more

The fitness trainer was excellent- Noah. However the girl managing the place was condescending, arrogant. The advertisement of $10.00 a month- are you kidding me?!! What a joke. I was to be there for 2-3 months while down for the winter. I DID sign up for the personal trainer so no problem with that extra money spent, however my fee of $10.00 a month turned into $27.00 a month. False advertising there. At the time of cancellation (after only two months!) I was told I would have to pay a yearly maintenance fee of $53.49 plus a $10.00 cancellation fee. So.....after two months there I spent $294.00 altogether and for what. It should have been and I would have been ok with half that as I had the personal trainer. These people rip you off. I would never go back and would advise others to find a place that actually cares about you returning. read more

I joined in the morning with .01 signup fee and a $24.99 monthly fee. This was the middle program which I thought was fair. When I returned that afternoon I scanned in and went to a bench took my weights and prepared to start my workout when the desk kid came over and said I needed to come over to the desk and pay. Pay? I paid this morning. He continued on and said that the program I signed up for was a promo and I owed 24.99. I , standing in the middle of the gym, continued to state my case when I was told "I'm not gonna argue wif you" I promptly grabbed my water and said cancel the membership. He then shot back with "you can't cancel you just signed up this morning " WHAT? I walked to the desk where he smugly told the manager "this guy don't wanna pay" now I am on the verge of furious. The manager went on to say it was a mistake made and the promo probably ended and it did not register yet in the system so I owed the money . Now i am calmly stating my case with the absurdity of that statement and how I AM NOT PAYING the 24.99 and I am canceling. This prompted chucklehead #1 to start chiming in again and start telling me I can't cancel . At this point I am done with this and started to get heated. I can't believe this SCAM was actually taking place . I think the manager saw that this was escalating and I was pissed. He then said ok I am canceling the membership. After signing up for this club they called me 2 days later to say they want my bank account information instead of my Visa card. The next day, I went in to cancel my membership after using the club once. They said I would have to pay for the whole month and pay a $10 cancellation fee. What a scam job! Safe to say of all the gyms I've been apart of in several different states this has the worst customer service. This location does not maintain their equipment. The TV connections are messed up on many machines and they don't care. I tell them at the desk And no one writes anything down and nothing gets fixed. Also in the past two weeks they are trying to see how hot they allow the place to get before everyone stops coming. Must be another social experiment. It is clean. That's about the only position point I can acknowledge. Update: it was cooler today. Thank you. We mentioned the Treadmills to the guy at the desk at 12:30. He took no notes FYI. I have been a member for 3 years - Big makeover in the past 3 months ..love the energy that is there with all of the trainers on the floor working with individuals trying to improve their health and get more out of their session. I go at all hours of the day and never have a problem with parking or getting on the equipment that I use. read more

My sister and I have been going to this You Fit for 4 months and love it. We are couch potatoes in our 60's and needed to get healthy. The staff are all very friendly, attentive, helpful and encouraging! As little as I know about gym machines, I never feel out of place. Our trainer John is wonderful.... he knows just how far to push to get results but not overkill...... very knowledgeable and motivating. Also, it is very clean! It is a busy place at times, but we have never had to wait to use any equipment. Once we had a treadmill that wasn't working properly and they immediately put a sign on it and it was repaired within a day or two. Love You Fit! read more

Classless management. I entered the gym shortly after moving to the area to have a 5 minute look around. A little over a month later I signed up online for a free day pass and went to the club to use it. When I got there, I was met by an employee that told me that I had already used a day pass. I explained to him that I had literally only walked around the facility for just a few minutes and that hardly constituted a day pass. They're not the only game in town and I wasn't going to twist their arm to try their facilities, so I asked for my ID back, to which the person (who later claimed to be the manager) bristled. As I was walking out, that same manager shouted after me in front of the entire gym and desk staff "maybe if you hadn't been such an ass&_$#, I would have let you in" - to which I turned around to confront, but restrained myself. I finally admitted to myself that I was not going to hold myself accountable to a workout program, so I signed up at YouFit and signed on for sessions with a trainer. First of all, I love the facility! I didn't want to pay for services (sauna, lap pool, etc...) that I wasn't going to use, and YouFit has exactly what I want. I am impressed with the staff - every single person, I mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON has been super pleasant, helpful, and caring. Being a clean freak, I love that every time I'm there, I see staff vacuuming and cleaning the equipment. I love the diversity I see, from high school age youth to folks coming in carrying their oxygen tanks. I never feel out of place or self-conscious. Now, my trainer. Craig is the best! I get the impression that this is more than just a job to him. He genuinely is interested in helping me make progress (and he's fun, we always have a laugh). Thanks! read more
