I cannot say enough about You Lucky Dog. The owners and employees are just wonderful and so caring. I just say their names to my dog and he gets so excited. The guy in charge (not sure if he is the owner or manager) was arrogant & rude at our evaluation. Acting like a know it all & not listening to what we had to say. I Brought my 18 month old shepherd pup who is fine with other dogs but a little timid around strangers. The guy did not know how to handle shepherds & got all scared when my dog barked at him only after he tried to display dominance over the dog. He was very off putting & his behavior with my dog was inappropriate. I would never trust this man or this business to care for my pet. Never. read more

This is the worst doggie daycare I have experienced. The place is absolutely disgusting, smells terrible and the owner is incredibly lazy and rude. My dog was asked not to return because he had too much energy, they kept him crated all day because he was high energy. It was always my understanding that the reason for doggy care is to help keep your dog entertained and get energy out. There also is very minimal access to the outside. The facility has an enclosed play area outside that they never use, when I asked when the dogs will get to go play in it the owner stated " it's because people don't like their dogs outside" or the owner is just that lazy. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could give this zero stars. read more

I am super upset with my experience after going here for the first time. Being told my dog was wonderful with the other dogs but untrusting around the male staff (I had told them he eventually warms up and is particularly better with female). I was not informed of this until 8 hours of him being there. When I confronted them, I was told my dog was aggressive and making a bite motion. I asked them to explain as my dog HAS NEVER done this before. He explained maybe it wasn't quite that bad. I have a dog with some FEAR which is much different than aggression. You absolutely cannot group these dogs together. And he also made a comment that my "rescue was neutered until 2 and clearly had previously irresponsible owners so there are too many unknowns". It was all breed discrimination (oh well he's large and strong, so aren't all of the labs I saw walk out during pick up!!) If they had given him a few more days to warm up to the staff it would have been extremely successful. He is the sweetest dog and just wants to play with the other dogs! The arrogant and rude words were so hurtful and I will not be going back. read more

Excellent place for doggie daycare. I take my dog there once or twice a month just so she can have a chance to socialize with other dogs. The owner and the people who work there seem to be very caring with my 4-legged friend. Don't know what they are like for overnight kennel stays but it seems to be a SAFE place to use read more

I have boarded my dogs here and use the dog washing facility a number of times. The Luddy's are some of the most caring people around. They watch over every dog in that facility as if it was their own. While we were boarding one time one of our dogs needed an emergency vet visit. They did not even hesitste. They took our dog to our vet and watched over him with special care until we got home. I would highly recommend this facility for all of their services. read more

The name is perfect because if you ever stop by on any given day, you will see that the dogs staying ARE quite lucky. The owners truly love what they do and take great care of the dogs. We often use the self serve dog wash (which is fantastic!) but we have also used their overnight boarding services. One of our two large dogs had some medical issues and needed medication and special attention and they took great care of him. I recommend You Lucky Dog to every dog owner I meet! read more

This is a kennel-free doggy daycare where dogs are free to play and roam around. The facility is a large indoor warehouse with a small outdoor fenced area attached. The big dogs are separated from the small dogs, but they will let them all play together if they get along well (also depending on the number of dogs). The business is run by a husband and wife and they are the ones present with the dogs at all times. My dog gets several walks when he is there as well as time to rest and time to socialize with other dogs. We have taken our dog here since they opened, about 3 months now. We take our dog once a week for doggy daycare, 7am-6:30pm, and our dog comes home very happy and tired. We have been happy with our experience so far. read more

Just be aware-this dog day care is fully ready and willing to muzzle your dog for barking 'in excess.' They told us to either pick our dog up significantly earlier or they were going to muzzle her. Needless to say, we aren't sending her there anymore. I am still not sure what was going on there, or why our dog was such a disruption that putting a muzzle on her was the only solution--but I do feel relieved that we saw that reaction from the place sooner than later. I would ask about muzzling if I was considering this placement for my dog. Buyer be cautious. read more

Nice people, but knew very little about dogs behavior or basic training. Bought 12 visits, during that time experience dog kennel cough, owner compliant my 5 month old puppy pulled on leash when all the dogs were going to play yard. Yep. The owner was nervous because my dog's penis was erect...my dog is neutered, it has nothing to do with anything. Here is the one that changes it all, picked dog up at end of work day and his collar was SO TIGHT, really don't know how he was able to breathe. My lucky dog stays home now. And since being there he has become leash reactive, which is no fun to deal with. Sorry just my review, first 6 or 7 visits my dog was normal. Last day hugged the concrete when I dropped him off, something bad must have happened there for him to do that. Just not enough dog knowledge on the business owners end, but ya, nice family. read more

This is only my second review on here. I don't pay much attention to Yelp because everyone has different opinions of good service. However, after our experience dealing with this kennel, we had to say something. We have two French Bulldogs, one of whom has an inoperable brain tumor. He has difficulty walking and basically sleeps all day. My husband called last week to set up a two night stay for our dogs this week. He told the woman he spoke to that the sick dog only had the rabies vaccine as the vet does not want him getting the other vaccinations for fear of a seizure. We understand this may have been a deal breaker, but the woman on the phone told my husband that as long as we provided a note from our vet it wouldn't be a problem, and that she would call later to confirm. We never heard back, so this morning before dropping them off my husband called to make sure we were still on. The man who answered the phone yelled at my husband (I'm not exaggerating) and told us that "this isn't how this works, you have to have your dogs vaccinated and we should have followed up." This isn't what we were told earlier in the week. He wouldn't let my husband get a word in edgewise, so my husband hung up and we weren't able to take our dogs. The rudeness alone is reason to stay away- I have read fantastic reviews of a kennel 7 minutes away in Worcester. They'll be getting our business. read more

I recently boarded my dog at this facility. I left on a Friday and was scheduled to pick up my dog on Monday. Apparently there was an altercation between my 11 pound dog and three other large dogs. The owner decided that the injuries sustained to my dog was not worth the call to me. He not only did NOT call me, but my dog remained under a desk for the three days she was there. She did not eat or drink water. The owner still did not call. When I picked her up, she barely moved toward me. He explained what had happened and still felt there was no need to make me aware. When I returned home that evening, while trying to bathe my dog I noticed an open wound on the back of her neck that was still oozing blood. I immediately called my vet. She insisted I bring her in right away after hearing the story. She ended up at the vet for one whole day, leaving with eight stitches to the back of her neck, six stitches to the side of her head, a drain to release the abscess that had occurred under her eye, multiple bruising noticed after she had been shaved and several bites over her body. My dog was LUCKY to survive this attack. Even with the information given to this facility, they neglected to call my vet. Not a shred of responsibility was given to take care of my dog. I would NOT recommend this facility for even an hour. They do not watch these dogs. Who puts a 11 pound dog in with 100 pound dogs. I was distraught over this occurrence. My dog has been very nervous and it took her over two weeks to gain the strength to be herself again. We love our dog very much. I would highly advise to stay away from "You Lucky Dog".... read more
