I don't think "girly" has ever been a word to describe my 9 year old daughter. Feisty? Yeah, that one I've heard a few times to describe her... ;) So, when she joined the hip hop class, on the first day I was a bit intimidated by the bling, mini shorts, and hot pink shirts the other girls were wearing, but the instructors do an amazing job of making the girls feel comfortable and have fun. The facility is organized, clean, and inexpensive! ($50 a month for one class) However, I understand dance 'can' get pretty expensive (just like any extracurricular activity), so, I can't speak in terms of the prices for the competition dance classes or costumes.

A variety of classes are offered for a variety of different age ranges. This studio has one large room downstairs and one smaller loft room upstairs. Unfortunately the layout and location of the classes didn't work for us. My daughter took her 1st dance class here with another toddler friend. The class was located upstairs in the loft room, which for many reasons was not ideal. First safety, the stairs are tall and there is nothing blocking them. I felt that I needed to stay to ensure my daughter didn't go down the stairs. Second, The area for parents to watch is just a line of chairs in the same room as the children who are taking the classes, we found this to be disruptive and didn't support learning for our daughters. Third, the teacher was nice but there was a lack of strictness/structure. Overall if you have a toddler I wouldn't recommend this studio
