Rented again 8-2-25 but not what it used to be. The staff has lost their enthusiasm. Equipment was sluggish compared to the last time we rented here in 2018. This year we ventured off alone to the Sequoias. YAC made sure we were prepared with a rescue Beacon and a tablet with precise directions there and back. My family and I travel up and down Mammoth all the time and this the first time that we decided to come to Yosemite for the winter. My family was interested in possibly renting a snow mobile, UTV or Ryker from this location as we saw a pamphlet at our air bnb. When we arrived we were greeted hello but the person working did not seem approachable at all. She seemed annoyed when she realized when wanted to talk to her about the type of local things we could do. We wanted to ask about Yosemite, what it's like, what's fun to do (obviously outside of what they offer) and whether chains were going to be required the day or two after it snows. She was a bit rude, didn't seem like she wanted to talk to us. Her tone and the way she looked at us just seemed like perhaps she hates her job. She made an assumption we didn't have a 4x4 and as if we didn't know how to drive in snow. We frequently go to mammoth and we have the tundra that we modified for off roading but we just wanted to know weather condition and how icy it can get. My husband was so irritated he didn't want me to buy the little trinket I got and my parents decided they would opt out of renting the UTA with the attitude we were given because they felt like they would be given a difficult time for renting. read more

This was such a fun ride. We opted for the guided tour. Since we were the only ones on it, we asked the guide to ride with us. I'm glad she did because it made it easier for all of us. The tour is a two hour ride and it takes you to a view point of the lake. It was such a nice view. The ride is bumpy and you will definitely get dirty. You have enough time to explore or stay in one spot longer. The company is all about safety. You do have to wear your gear while in the car. April did such a great job. We went back for our second time using this tour , last time was in 2020. We took a great six hour tour with Ty. He took five us up to 8,200ft up to Iron Lake...absolutely beautiful. On the way back My son got confused while waiting for our dust to settle he took a wrong turn. Ty had us wait while he went to find them, he came back with my son and his girlfriend safe and sound. Ty was calm and confident the whole time. Great guide, and he knows every trail on that mountain. Ladies in the office were awesome too, working with a special request I had. We've been here twice now and both times we have had a blast! All the staff are super friendly and will gladly help you with any questions or things you might need. They know all the trails and good picture stops for the group. The tours are really fun but the only bad part is that the guide in front is always kicking up dust, which is pretty much unavoidable with the trails. Excellent staff and experience. Highly recommend. Rented two UTV's for the 4 hour self-guided tour. The self guided tour is easy to navigate by yourself with the iPad given with the directions. We only got turned around once and knew very quickly after. A staff member that was off the clock that we found out on the trails gladly took his own personal time to guide us through a river crossing we originally weren't supposed to do. Everything was clean and ready to be used when we got there. Unfortunately one of the cars had been rolled before we used it. We were politely informed of this before using the car and told it was completely fine and fixed. While most of the way through the tour the suspension mounting point broke and we had to stop. The staff came and got us quickly and insured us that it was not our fault. They made us feel very safe about it and drove us back to the end and even gave us some gifts. They completely accepted fault for the issue and were very polite about it. Would 100% go back to do another tour or adventure. read more

Did the self guided UTV tour. What made this experience unforgettable was the routes and the employees. The routes for the UTV had a great mix of uphill, downhill, turns, and a straight path to satisfy both speed and technical desires. No dull moments. The UTV itself was fast, responsive, and easy to use. The service is incredible! They were very welcoming and warm! 2nd time as good as the 1st. We rented UTVs for mountain/trail riding, once in 2019 and 2022. Very professional set up. You do a quick safety training video, you're fitted with a helmet, given an iPad for GPS trail maps on the mountain with locations/points of interest. You drive to the trail head where you find your UTV ready to go. You do a quick vehicle check/inspection, and then you're off. When you return to the trailhead, your Yosemite Adventure Company contact is waiting for you. You do a quick vehicle inspection and close out your contract. Definitely recommend this activity and Yosemite Adventure Company. We will definitely do this next time we are in Yosemite. read more

We had a wonderful adventure renting a RZR today to explore the back country near Bass Lake. On our 4 hour self-guided excursion we saw so many beautiful forests, a waterfall that flowed across our road and the Nelder Grove of ancient sequoias. We paid for a 3 hour tour in a UTV. Had so much fun. It was us and our tour guide, Tyler, so we could take our time where we wanted too and skip what we weren't interested in. Tyler rode ahead of us in an ATV where we drove a UTV. He would make frequent stops, making sure we were comfortable driving. He'd also stop and let us know when to shift gears and when to go into 4 wheel drive. He was very knowledgeable about the landscape and the history of where we were. I would 100% do it again. First off, would I use them again - yes. I took the 4-hour self-guided jeep tour. Overall we had a good time during our trip. The jeep seated the 5 of us and the GPS map was detailed enough that we were able to get to the points of interest. The staff was friendly but was slightly overwhelmed with the number of people renting vehicles. Their site notes to be there 30 minutes early else it might impinge on your tour time but doesn't say what happens when they start you out late but give you the same "be back by time." As it was we returned "on time" so I never had to see if they would have adjusted the time. In terms of paperwork they are all set-up to do it electronically. Bring your ID & auto insurance card. I also opted for their suggested rental insurance from the company they suggested. Didn't need it, which is always a good thing, but wanted to use the company they recommended in case there was an issue. Their site states $9 but it has gone up to $11. We opted for the open top jeep which was fine for the day we went. Having the top open added to the experience of the sounds and the smells. Besides the slightly late start I did have two minor issues with the tour. The first was there is nothing provided to hold the iPad that is used for the trail mapping. You need someone in your group to hold it & read it (so no solo driver tours). For me the person that could use the iPad was in the back seat which meant the power cord provided didn't reach. In my case the iPad was charged to 85% and lasted the trip - but just take note. The second is part of your "tour" is driving down to Oakhurst to fill your jeep with gasoline. That takes 15-20 minutes. Clearly the delayed start & the refuel impacts the 4-hours tour more so than the 6-hour or 8-hour tours. read more

Really great time taking the family up to the top of Devil Peak for a sunset 360 degree view around all of yosemite area. Starts off with pick-up right on time at Tenaya Lodge where we were staying. Then a teeth jarring, but fun ride up the mountain to about 7000 feet up for an incredible view of sunset and then smores by the fire. Nice knowledge of the surrounding area and also a stop to view the stars and satellites flying by in the dark sky. Nice family run business who are really friendly and knowledgeable.
