And then he hands me a bottle and I go home to one happy surprise. Truth be told, I would have never even noticed this place if my boyfriend and I weren't on a diet and staring down the donut store next door to it. We were craving either sweets or alcohol and decided that red wine was the "healthier" cheat. So in we went. It is a cute little shop, pretty small, and very cramped, but the staff impressed me 100%. They know their stuff and I love that he didn't make me feel stupid when I admitted to not knowing a thing about wine. Instead, he just said here you go and enjoy.

I hope that they expand their food selection, and perhaps offer some of the deliciousness from Buster's Butcher, frozen offerings of which seem to have been discontinued.

I just had an horrible experience with Brian and a racist old white man. I shop at Kirby and Wine…read morevery often. I have been going there for about ten years. Lately the worker Brian has been showing extreme prejudice and looks like he is always under the influence. Today I came there about to park where Brian and another man was talking. Brian the employee had his cart blocking one of the parking spots so I proceeded to park next to the handicap spot. My car was slightly on the line when the white man talking to me Brian said you are parked in the handicap spot which I was not. I told him I'm slightly on the line but I will move as soon as I come out. He proceeded to say then that's a ticket. I walked into.the store and came back out and told the man he didn't have to be rude about it and him and Brian decided to start an argument being aggressive and clearly showing racist behaviors. I told them both they didn't have to be an a**hole and went to my car and left. I called the owner and told him about the incident he apologized. But that's not the first time Brain has acted hostile and racist towards other customers especially women of color. I decided to write this review because I really enjoyed going there now I don't feel safe and feel extremely uncomfortable due to white men and their ignorance. I will no longer be shopping there and I will go somewhere that appreciates my business and will make me feel welcomed. I suggest people of color do the same.

Instead, they continued having their conversation about a girl that the guy checking me out referred to as "ugly". He asked me if o wanted my receipt and that was that. Not going back. Busters, 901, Yorkshire, Joe's and I'm sure many more places are also nearby with great selection. Hopefully this review will make it to the owner and something can be done to help the business do better.

Last night, I visited the store (which was completely empty with the exception of two employees near the register). I notice that they had a bottle that I was interested in opened for sampling. The gentleman who was reading something behind the counter, stated that he could not assist me as the store could get busy at any moment?!?.
