I was soooo impressed when I walked in here. It's been a couple years since I have come in here…read more The store is pretty big with a huge selection of clothes. They also had a good selection of nick nacks, kitchen stuff, furniture & all that other stuff out back. I was very impressed with their prices. I visited another goodwill store back in April down the street & was very disappointing as their prices were very expensive & they hardly had anything in their store. This is the store to go to!!! I went in hoping that they may have had some Pyrex for sale but didn't find any but walked out with a cat litter box, dish drying pad, old fashion travel iron and a plastic dog food container. The pet stuff I actually got for my Mom's dog & cat. I went in with my friend who was looking for some sheets for his camper bed & he walked out with this super cute small desk & chair for his daughter & a dresser for himself. Those were also reasonably priced. There was a little line that moved kinda slow. There were only 2 cashiers working. I believe they have to manually punch in the prices (I can't remember...lol) so that can make things a little slow.....so don't be in a hurry when stopping in here. In the past I've actually dropped off some donations which was very easy. They had bins on the side of the building that you drop your stuff off in or you could walk it inside next to the bins & drop it off in there. Real quick process.

American Legion Post 56 - York - Dart teams!

I'm not a member of the Legion, as I live out of state but my brother & his wife are. I joined them…read morehere on a Wednesday night to cheer them on during their dart league. Its located in a mall plaza can't really tell you much about whats around as it was night when we arrived. The mall parking lot is kinda dart. The Legion is a nice, cozy small welcoming place. We walked into the dinning room area that was rearranged due to the dart teams making room to be able to play darts. Right next to the dinning area is the bar. Its nice & cozy with lights around the wall & these super, kick ass chandler like lights hanging above the bar. I meant to get a picture of them but forgot. The bartender Margo was very nice & didn't have a problem separating my brother's tab up @ the end of the night as I was putting drinks on them. I did offer to run my own tab but she told me it wasn't a problem for her to separate things at the end. Super cool cause you know how some bartenders/waitstaff can get with "separate checks." I never really waited long to get a drink. The place was busy when I first got there @ 7pm but they said after 8:30pm people clear out. Not an issue for me as I was surrounded by dart players & friends. When I had to go use the bathroom I was super impressed!! They have separate bathrooms for ladies & men When I walked into the ladies room it smelt so good! If your a Bath & Body shopper like myself, then you'd recognizer their plug in in the outlet. They also had a yummy smelling hand soap from there too! Bathroom was private & the size was just right. Very clean. At one point when I was up @ the bar with some friends & got to chatting with Margo & met the owner Kandace I had to tell her how much I LOVED the bathroom. Kandace takes such pride in the Legion & it shows. Sine I'm such a big Yelper when I went to go check-in the Legion wasn't listed so of course I had to add the business. I kept bugging my brother for the address as he was trying to write out the dart play list but I got the Legion on here & I shared that with Kandace when I said "You guys aren't even on Yelp." The Legion apparently was in a different location & they moved to this one. So of course I had to go around & take a few pics & spice their page up. I'm not sure what the requirements of membership are here, but you can always call and ask. I was never in the service & I was a guest. Drinks were real cheap & yummy. I didn't get a chance to try any of their food they have. Seems like a small bar menu, there's a small kitchen behind their bar. OMG I forgot to mention their pull & play tabs. $1.00 a ticket, no scratching required. Just bend the card to split the tabs & pull each one of them back looking for 3 of a kind or 2 of a kind with 1 special winner. I bought $8.00 worth & unfortunately didn't win but being a Vegas resident I always say "I only gamble what I can afford to lose!" I had a few seconds of fun with these pull tabs. :-) I hope to venture here another time with my brother/sister-in-law while home or on any other visit home. Very nice, friendly & welcoming bar. Thank you!! :-)
