For too long, I'd walk into Great Clips, try to explain my desired haircut, and basically play Russian roulette with the clippers. Sometimes it was okay, sometimes... well, let's just say hats became my best friend. Then I found KD. I went in wanting a clean, sharp military-style haircut, something that looked professional but still had a bit of an edge. KD absolutely nailed it. I mean, perfectly! With that, I was greeted as soon as I walked into the establishment by one of the barbers. I did use the bathroom, which was nice and clean. There is ample lighting and space between stations. Paul is old school Italian, the way a "classic barber" should be. In its heyday, the shop had three barbers to suit your needs; now Paul is a one-man show. No flash here, just efficiency. We've been together through thick and thinning (See what I did there?) There is a tv here, but the focal point is good conversation. Trust me, get Paul fired up on something, and you'll get plenty of it. I'm disappointed to find out that I'll have to go elsewhere once I'm ready to try my first barbershop shave (Paul stopped doing shaves a few years ago), but he doesn't offer service to just guys. Ladies can come in and have a shampoo and a cut as well. However, in the 18 years I've been coming to Paul, I've never once seen a woman getting her hair cut here. Paul's is class, top notch. She completely salvaged my hair from a terrible cut I received a few months ago and did absolutely EVERYTHING I asked of her in terms of the new style. I'm as pleased with my hair as the cuts I've paid $40 more for, and Emily is as nice as they come. I'm shocked that she was able to bring my hair back from it's previous disaster stage in just one cut, and I feel like I owe her double what she charged me. The aforementioned coworker goes to her for cut and color and her hair is always adorable and the color looks really great.
