Difficulty level: I'm a pretty big yoga snob so I was a bit nervous the suburbs wouldn't be up to my regular practice. I usually practice power yoga (Anjali) or vinyasa flow (Dhyana) in Philly and i was pleasantly surprised that the level 2/3 classes here were on par with the regular classes at the studios I usually go to in the city. Although not heated like power yoga, it was definitely a great workout and I broke a sweat. Instructors: Annamieke and Allison were both great instructors, and have options to go into inversions and arm balances. Studio: The studio is beautiful and really cool, exposed wood beams and giant lanterns in an old barn looking building. Pricing: Drop in was $15 with a 20% discount for students and I know they regularly run Groupons. Pro-tips: Don't forget to grab come complimentary yogi tea on your way out! No need to sign up online for your first time, it doesn't seem like classes fill up ahead of time. Recap: Definitely check it out if you are on the area!

It's tiny and hot only. Teachers were decent, at least the three I tried but not very engaging. They charge for everything. I forgot my mat and they charge for rent. I guess it's like that everywhere. If were me, I would just let people use mats then clean them. Overall it was nice and clean. The only thing I truly didn't like was the fact that the bathroom was right inside the yoga room itself and not in the waiting area.

The space is really gorgeous, a high ceiling-ed renovated barn in the Pennsylvania School of the Performing Arts, which has all these awesome giant posters of past shows. Renee, the instructor, was very nice and helpful. I think it was a holiday and there was only one other person in the class, which made it really intimate and wonderful. The heater was a bit noisy, and I remember the music being awkwardly loud for some reason. The class itself was a bit slow and not challenging enough for my liking, but still very relaxing. My mom and sister, who don't do yoga as much, really enjoyed it and found it challenging enough. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area and find Yogasphere too crowded! Prices were reasonable from what I remember. From their website, it looks like they have class outdoors by the lily pond in the summer, will definitely have to check that out next time I'm home and it's nice out!

After many years of trying with no results and slowly watching my health fade away, I almost gave up. Then one day, after driving past the building just about every day for the last 2 years, I decided to stop in to Wrightstown Health and Fitness and check it out. It was like no other gym I've ever been in. It reminded me of a place that a serious athlete would come to train. It isn't fancy, they don't have all the latest equipment, but one thing stood out more than anything, people weren't standing around and socializing, they were all working out, and working out hard. I knew this place would change my life, so I signed up for a 5 day trial and started my journey to health and fitness. This place is a Wellness Center, meaning they have everything you need all at one place. Massage therapy, acupuncture, yoga, chiropractic care, nutritional counseling and personal training. When you work out, you have to work with a trainer to be on the floor, and it's worth every cent. They have four excellent trainers that will give you the best 90 minute workout you will ever have while monitoring your physical condition at all times. The trainers are also all part owners which guarantees you will be treated with utmost care and respect. There are people from all age groups, some getting in shape and some doing physical therapy. They even offer a program on Sunday's for children 8-12. They also offer plenty of cardio equipment if that's all your looking for. It's a great environment to work out in. I also joined their Blitz program which is run by Cheryl, their nutritionist. It's designed to help you eat right and get healthy from within while you work out with the trainers. She really cares about what she does and will help in any way to help achieve your goals. So far I've lost more weight in 5 weeks than I've lost in the last 5 years and I feel more energetic and people have noticed me start to change physically. It's a great motivation. So if you want to ditch the mainstream gyms and start to get serious about your physical and mental health, this is the place to be. My only regret is not stopping in earlier.
