This is hands down (tempted to make a pun here) the best yoga studio in the area. I know it's not wise to get attached to a yoga instructor but there are a few who are so inspiring it makes me want to do teacher training. Yoga V attracts the best - both new and experienced. Too many to list, but this is a start: Elizabeth leads a gorgeous deep stretch class with the addition of singing bowls. It will melt away your midweek stress like butter. As a "music" person, I'm impressed by playlists that are intelligent and non-intrusive. Monica is about as intuitive as they come, with a gentle yoga class perfect for those who don't want the heated studio experience, or need to refresh before going back in to the heated flow practice. Then there is Patrick.. I mean - this guy has the GIFT - blending accessible yoga, a sense of humor, and the magic of paced storytelling that always illustrates a lesson, without being yoga-preachy or cliche'. The studio goes above and beyond best practices for health, so I don't really worry about getting sick. Pricing is reasonable - with a level for anyone who wants to practice in a safe environment. The classes are decent, however their business practices are questionable. i injured my meniscus, had to have surgery, leaving me unable to practice this style of Yoga untiI I heal up. The studio went on to charge me $82 for 2 months of classes that I cannot even use. No offer of any refunds, just a "no refunds" policy. I understand yoga studios are hurting financially, but to make a profit on their injured students is not ok. read more

I am new to town and was so excited to find this studio! Everyone is so inviting and the classes I have attended and the teachers I have had have all been wonderful. I highly recommend this studio to experienced yoga folks as well as those who are just starting into yoga. read more

Nice studio overall. It does get pretty crowded and difficult to move around and there's a lot of switching of instructors so you never know who you'll get. I do wish there were more hands on in the classes, the instructors I've had never lead the class, it's all via watching others. I did sign up for the monthly membership and ended up getting an out of state job offer. I'm a little disappointed they wouldn't work with me as far as terminating my 2 month minimum contract. Yes that's my fault I joined. But.. When I asked if she would work with me she said no, sorry it's out policy and if we worked with everyone we'd be out of business. read more

Best studio in Grand Junction. All of the teachers are so helpful with queues they even make it fun! Every teacher there has taught me something as a teacher myself felt I learned from. Definitely recommend! Don't forget to bring a sweat towel! I do t know why others say they don't help with reviews my boyfriend and I found out last minute we were moving to Denver in 2 weeks they refunded me and let me cancel my contract they were super understanding! read more

Yoga V is beautiful. My favorite thing about it, besides it's beautiful studios, are that the instructors, the class routines, and the music at the classes Are always varied. I have been the other studios, where the same routine and music are done at each class and my mind and my body quickly get bored. Here, my mind and body show up inquisitive as to what fun is in store today? and I leave relaxed and invigorated. Even a novice student knows when a teacher is showing up and simply going through the motions; by contrast, these yoga teachers show up with their best game each time. Much appreciated. Love the eucalyptus cloths. The only reason for four stars, is that the studio can get pretty crowded during their popular classes and the odor can be a little bit intense. We decided to do the free first week. The only reason for four stars instead is the logistical difficulties... It's a one room studio and as you come in you wait in a line that snakes around, people shuffling past each other. Lots of "excuse me, sorry, sorry, excuse me". There is only one practice room, both classes we went to were 100% packed, five rows of six people. Which was fine, real community yoga! Except I felt badly for the woman next to the door who kept having to move or get hit as people left the room or came back in. There is also no shower which seems wild in a hot yoga studio. But again, space preventative. Apart from those issues-- what a fantastic studio! We had Tess both classes and she is wonderful. Loved the messages, the flow of the class, intuitive transitions, her energy.. awesome! We will be back. read more

I've been a member of Yoga Vinyassa for about 2 months now, and I think it's a great place to do hot yoga. All of the instructors are great, and they all have their own different style and flavor. In my opinion it's almost impossible to "get bored" (like I have with other class activities) because every class is different. I had never done hot yoga before, and this was a great place to start. I wouldn't say it's "super beginner friendly" but you can always change up your poses and do whatever you can tolerate. If you're in moderate shape, you should be just fine. Now after doing it for a little bit, I'm getting more flexible and stronger, and I'm able to be more and more present in each class (this takes a little while to achieve in my opinion). I can't imagine how they could make this studio any better, with the exception of maybe expanding one day to 2 rooms (right now there is just 1 big one). **Fair warning, it's called HOT yoga for a reason! It gets VERY hot in there, but believe me, you'll love it. You also might get a little dizzy your first class or two, but this only happened to me a handful of times - hydrate well the day before and of, and you'll be fine. You can always child's pose...or simply lay down...as a rescue :) They also have mats to rent in case you need one ($1 rental). Also, everyone is extremely friendly there, there's not elitist attitude, none of the "Oh I do yoga and I'm sooooo much better than you" that I've gotten at other (non-hot) yoga studios. Also just a word of caution it gets pretty crowded in there on the weekend. If you're going for your first class, I would suggest going some time during the week. Some of the random, unexpected benefits of doing hot yoga I've experienced so far also include decreased anxiety, better sleeping, and more....regularity. I started my yoga practice in June 2020. I love my practice and the instructors there. I have come upon so financially hardship and asked the owner if I could put my membership on hold. Well the exchange of emails was absolutely rude, not compassionate or kind and not even a I am sorry to hear that, but..... However if you go on vacation, then we can definitely do a 30 day pause and that is okay just not any type of hardship. I have been a very loyal customer and have recommended 4 people who are now members. You would think a small business would like to have customers like myself, but apparently NOT. I am very hurt by the service and will miss my instructors that helped me fall in love with yoga. But again, the owners do not value their members and that is unfortunate because the instructors are what makes that place awesome. This is a small business I will not support as I have been told I am not able to have a membership again. read more

I've been coming to Yoga Vinyassa for about 9 months and have fallen in love. This place kicks my butt and I love it for that. The workouts are challenging, fun, and I leave feeling awesome. But even better are the people. The instructors and yogis alike are welcoming, friendly, and motivating. It did take me a little while to settle into this style and intensity of yoga coming from another studio, but I have come to love what I receive here. Each instructor does have his or her own different style, adding to the challenge of each class. Good for beginners and seasoned yogis. read more

This was a great hot sweaty workout especially for a $15 drop in. The instructor didn't ask feedback on the class or provide any hands on assists but definitely a great studio. Yoga Vinyassa is an amazing yoga studio. Hot yoga is definitely not easy, but here you get a fantastic workout, a chance to calm your mind and excellent instructors. In my time with them, I easily had over 10 different instructors and every single one was great. They are friendly, knowledgeable, caring and attentive. Tess the owner is awesome as well. It really is a community and they are welcoming to everyone. I now live in California, the land of yoga, and I have yet to find a studio that comes close to Yoga Vinyassa. I definitely miss it and recommend it to all of my Junction friends! read more

Several instructors to choose from which includes their music playlist, sound of voice, and personality. After sorting through teachers I definitely avoid the one who has the televangelist shtick voice that Jim Carrey could impersonate in the Hour of Power. Drives me crazy to hear one type of voice at the desk and some kind of shtick voice in the room. Inauthentic. As for music I prefer the Moroccan - Middle Eastern playlist. Definitely not the Grateful Dead. I go for Yoga not bouncing around like at a pajama party. In other words, any music that is sensual and grounding not AM radio-style works for me. You do need to know your Namaskar poses because this is not instructional so much as experiential. If you come in without knowing your alignment points you'll screw up your joints in time. read more

I went to a hot Yoga class and thought it was good. I was taken aback by the fact however, that they make everyone stand out in the cold and don't unlock the door until one or two minutes before the class. I decided to pay for a member ship and took my checkbook and credit card down and showed up a few minutes early. A young woman was sitting inside the window at a desk talking on a cellphone, and when I tried the door it was locked. She looked at me, got up and went into the back. I stood around for five minutes or so expecting her to come back, but she never did. I assume she was telling me to leave, so I did. What a strange experience. read more
