I prefer this atmosphere over places like Pure Yoga where you have to stagger your position on the mat so that you don't kick someone in the head. This also allows for more personalised instruction and an intimate setting. The teachers that I have interacted with are all quite friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely want to help. The pricing is quite reasonable as well. Class offerings are geared towards office workers as the class times are usually during lunch time or after work hours. I'm not a novice but definitely not advanced yogi either. The skill level is about right for an intermediate level yogi.

Hence I joined Pure Yoga in Quarry Bay when I used to work there a few years ago. Later on, I took up another job on the Kowloon side and started coming here to the Peninsula studio. I must say, this has to be my favorite studio out of the six Pure Yoga locations. I'm loving this place even more after they finished the renovations this summer... so I'm giving it another star! Ta-da! If you have been to all of the Pure Yoga studios, you would know that none of the rest could beat this one in terms of the view. Every time when I check in at the entrance, when I get a card saying Studio 6, it's like I win the lottery! Studio 6 has a view of the Victoria Harbour. Imagine you standing there doing a tree pose, you can just look across the harbour and stare right at the top of the Convention Centre trying to balance yourself... how cool is that? What else makes the Peninsula studio so impressive is that they have some great instructors. When you're done with class, you can also sit at the lobby and enjoy the harbor view while you're waiting for a friend! If that's still not enough to persuade you to come here, they even have phone chargers. Leave your phones there to charge while you're in class... and may I say, PLEASE do not bring your phones to class as it is very disturbing. Inhale... exhale... leave your phones behind and relax, Hong Kongers!

I take yoga classes everywhere I travel and I think Veer is one of the most knowledgeable instructors I've met. He has a variety of types of classes but what sets him apart is his ability to understand his student's bodies and what each person needs to do in order to progress. I took both a regular class and a private lesson & I learned many things I will take into my regular yoga practice. The studio has changing areas and there even is a shower. He's got all sorts of props to help less flexible people like myself. I'm looking forward to my next visit to HK to take his classes.

PURE means you can afford dear workout in prime shopping malls or office building locations. It represents your lifestyle is also health-concerned apart from hard working and heavy drinking. Lululemon means you know how to dress to work out, with some 'fashion taste'. I started yoga in a gym and finished my teacher training in India. I tried three digits number studios all over the world. Upon returning to Hong Kong, I miss a hidden studio focus on advanced level classes and emphasis Kirtan on every Friday nights. And full of celebrity teachers' workshop on weekends. Pure's class range and levels still remain most complicated local wise. It is original Bikram style, later developed into a all-in fitness group. They cover hatha, vinysa, ashtanga, power, universal, yoga therapy...to my loving Jivamukti, Forrest style. It is impressive by just looking at their weekly schedule. The Langham studio offers quite a few advanced courses with renowned instructors. Martina wakes you up in the morning 90 minutes universal session, Samret handles all the comprehensive positions. They provide one time free trial. And nobody mentioned, but their well-facilitated shower and changing room plays like a second home for all the ladies.

There's classes in all different levels and its not intimidating at all to those just beginning. The classes are all on a schedule that is available online through their website. I love how convenient it is to make a booking for a class in all locations. One thing I should mention is that if you're looking to go to one of the more popular classes, like Hot Flow...make sure you book two days before. That is the earliest time allowed to make a booking for any class. The classes will fill up quick, so get on it and make sure you secure a spot either online or over the phone by calling their studio. PURE Yoga at Langham is a very large space. There are a number of studios located one level below the reception and locker rooms. The lighting here is very warm and the relaxing. I instantly get a bit calmer once the elevator doors open to their smiling staff greeting you. Unlike PURE Fitness, workout gear is not provided to you. Be sure to bring your own workout clothes. If you are also a member of PURE Fitness, you can just go one level down on the elevator and borrow from them which is very convenient. I do notice that the conditions of the showers are not as great as it is in other locations. There are times where some stalls are out of order...and other times, I just see some build up that needed to be cleaned. The instructors here are fantastic!!! I know most the yoga instructors for PURE go around the different locations, so this says a lot about the company as a whole. Very skilled and approachable instructors that enhance your yoga experience with them. thumbs up!

With all the great amenities that comes with the PURE name, CWB location has one thing working to their favor against other locations, space! Their entrance is located on the 16th floor of the Lee Theater Building, PURE is actually 3 levels!! The first of the 3 levels, the top floor, is mainly reception, lockers, and the food bar. The reception is always super nice and friendly. I request certain lockers in this locations because there are so many lockers, I've just grown accustomed to certain ones. I find the lockers closer to the showers just easier to access and convenient. The staff here never have an issue with helping me on that. The locker room here are equipped with TVs, phone charging stations, work out clothing (including socks) and a good number of showers. There is never a need to wait for a vacant shower stall. The sauna and steam room here is a bit on a small side, but still very clean and accessible. The food bar is tended by some nice staff members that can mix a good shake for you after an intense workout. They also have some nice salads on offer along with wraps and small sandwiches. All fairly healthy choices at a reasonable price. One level down, you will find yourself on the floor where they have one room for their cycling classes and another room for one hour classes with instructors. This is also the section where you will find the boxing training available to you if you'd like. On the last level, you will have your weights and treadmills and cross trainers. There is never a wait for machines here which is great!! I also love that very rarely, you will have someone working out RIGHT next to you. I love the space! There is also a space for you to do your stretches in peace without people walking back and forth. PURE in CWB is ideal for those who want to get a serious work out in your day without feeling cramped. LOVE!
